Group Assignment:• Each group will create an equation for each type of conic

section in standard form and then write the equation in general conic form (cannot be one we have used in class)

• The central conics cannot have the origin as the center

• there should be two parabolas (one up/down and one left/right) - graph using transformations

• one circle, one ellipse and one hyperbola

• Each person in the group will use the equation to find and label ALL necessary information that defines the conic section and graph it
