Since its establishment in 1968, Aderans has developed into a leading provider of total solutions aimed at hair-related issues by taking a heartfelt approach to the creation of products that make customers happy. Currently, our focus in Japan is on Aderans for the men’s market, and Ladies’ Aderans and Fontaine for women’s market. These are brands that have been well received by customers for many years. To enhance the reputation of these core domestic brands still further, we are directing greater effort into high-quality products, effective advertising and promotional campaigns and better after-sales services. Overseas, in North America, we are keen to generate maximum synergy between Bosley, a world leader in medi-cal and surgical hair loss solutions for men and women, and the newly acquired and well-known Hair Club, which pro-vides non- surgical hair restoration and hair loss prevention services that promote and maintain healthy hair growth in addition to hair transplantation procedures for men and women. Meanwhile, in Asia, we are rebuilding our pres-ence in China where demand for hair-related products and services is expected to grow, and in Europe, we aim to reinforce the medical-use wig business. Ultimately, our corporate mission as the Aderans Group is to use our hair-related businesses to help as many people as possible acquire the physical and emotional qualities that underpin the realization of dreams and promote a good impression, and in so doing, bring smiles to faces and sup-port happy lives. Then, depending on each customer’s concerns or preferred hairstyle, the right products and services to make the individual look and feel as attractive as they can be are selected from custom-made wigs, created to match the customer’s hair color and shape of head, hair-volumizing prod-ucts, which utilize the customer’s own hair to create volume in specific areas, and healthy hair growth services, which create scalp conditions conducive to healthy hair growth. Directly operated salons, under both the men’s and women’s brands, feature private rooms to ensure customer privacy, and care is taken to present a comfortable salon atmosphere. We have also enhanced after-sales services, including regular product checks and wig maintenance, haircuts and own-hair care. The annual fee, no-cost maintenance Aderans Hair Club, which offers custom-made wigs and hair-volumizing products to men who worry about thinning hair, has earned top marks. Ladies’ Aderans, which meets the needs of women who want to look beautiful all the time or enjoy the freedom of being stylish with confidence, provides an easy way to have fun with different styles. We promote sales though such opportunities as workshops for beauticians and hairstylists. Medical-Use Wig BusinessAderans has opened salons inside hospitals. Each salon is equipped with mobile salon chairs, in consideration of the physi-cal limitations that many patients have, and offers regular barber and beauty salon services, such as shampoo, cut, perms, color-ing, makeup and nails, using proprietary products gentle to the skin. Various wigs, including the medical wig Rafra, are also available at these in-hospital locations.

What is a Bosley Hair Transplantation?It is a surgical procedure whereby a highly qualified and experi-enced physician, working with a trained clinical staff, removes healthy follicles from the back and sides of the scalp and relo-cates them to areas of hair loss on the scalp. Bosley, a U.S.-based member of the Aderans Group, is the world’s leading authority and practitioner of surgical hair restoration, and contin-ues to enjoy the top share of the North American market. As of March 31, 2014, the company has 23 surgical offices and 46 consultation offices throughout the U.S., and recently expanded its overseas network with a surgical clinic in Singapore. アデランスの海外生産アデランスは、1988年のアデランス・タイ社ブリラム工場を皮切りに、1992年のワールド・クオリティ社（タイ）、2002年のアデランス・フィリピン社と工場を稼働させ、東南アジアでの生産を拡大してきました。2013年9月にはフィリピン第2工場を開設し、2014年5月にアデランス・ラオス社を設立、9月よりラオス国内で初めての自社工場となるサワンナケート工場で生産を開始します。

生産・物流三極体制の一端を担うラオスラオス南部に位置するサワンナケート工場の稼働により、ラオス国内での生産量は、以前からの委託工場分を含めて、2015年度にはオーダーメイド製品ではグループ生産量全体の20％となる月産7,000枚、レディメイド製品では全体の30％となる月産20,000枚となります。　サワンナケート工場は、ラオスと従来からの主要生産工場があるタイを結ぶ交通の要所に位置し、グループ内での資材、製品の物流に高い利便性があります。また、ラオスには海外からの進出工場がまだ少なく、伝統的な毛織物技術が根付いているため、ウィッグ生産に適した手先が器用で優秀な人材を確保できます。さらに水資源が豊富で電力不足に陥る可能性が低いというメリットがあります。アデランスグループにおいては、北米のヘアクラブへの製品供給や国内での女性需要の増加に対応すべく、タイ、フィリピン、ラオスを三極として、より一層、安定的かつ効率的な生産・物流システムを整備してまいります。

Aderans relies on experienced technicians at its own production facilities and the facilities of alliance partners in Thailand, the Philippines and laos to craft delicately constructed, high-quality wigs under and integrated production and marketing structure.

Aderans’ Overseas ProductionIn 1988, Aderans established its first overseas base—the Briram plant operated by Aderans Thai, Ltd. Further expan-sion of its production capability in Southeast Asia came with the establishment of plants operated by World Quality Co., Ltd. (Thailand) in 1992, and Aderans Philippines, Inc., in 2002. With the inauguration of a second Philippines plant in September 2013, we established Aderans Lao Co., Ltd. in May 2014, and the Savannakhet plant — its first wholly owned manufacturing base in the country —will commence operations from September 2014.

TOPiCSlaos a Key location in Three-Point Production-logistics NetworkWith the start of operations at the Savannakhet Plant, in southern Laos, local production of custom-made wigs should reach 7,000 units per month—20% of the Company’s total volume—and that of ready-made wigs should reach 20,000 units—30% of the Company’s total volume—by February 2016. These figures include existing production capacity at a partner plant in Vientiane. The Savannakhet Plant is located at the key transportation hub linking Laos to Thailand, where Aderans already has fac-tories, so it facilitates highly efficient distribution of products

and materials within the Group. Because few overseas companies have set up plants in Laos, it has been relatively easy to secure talented human resources with high manual dexterity, cultivated through the traditional Laotian craft of hand-weaving. Another merit of Laos-based operations is that abundant water resources in Laos and the country’s subsequent use of hydroelectric power significantly lowers the risk of power shortages.

We will utilize the three-point production network built on operations in Thailand, the Philippines and Laos to ensure stable and efficient production and distribution of products to meet demand from the Hair Club, in North America, and rising demand from the women’s market in Japan.

Aderans love CharityLove Charity is a long-running program, origi-nally introduced in 1978 as a social contri-bution measure to commemorate our 10th anniversary. For more than 35 years, this program has presented wigs at no cost to children who have lost their hair and thereby alleviates the mental anguish caused by the change in appearance.

Barrier-free Access to Salons in HospitalsWe open salons inside hospitals. These salons are barrier-free to facilitate visits by patients in wheelchairs. In addition, all locations are equipped with movable salon chairs that allow patients to remain seated while they get a hair-cut and shampoo. Our professional staff is able to provide a variety of services particularly appropriate to people who are ill and undergo-ing medical treatment that has left their hair in a rather delicate condition.

Support Activities in Area Affected by Great east Japan earthquakeAderans supports the objectives of the “One World Project,” which assists cancer patients in the area affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 2011, and for two years—since July 2012—has provided wig adjustment and maintenance services for wigs donated to cancer patients under this project. At the request of the One World Project organizer as well as patients, we have extended our partici-pation by two years and will continue our support until the end of June 2016.

アデランス愛のチャリティ創業10周年を記念して1978年にキャンペーンとしてスタート。社会貢献活動の一環として、お子さまの髪の毛の悩みを心の傷にしないために、お子さまにウィッグをプレゼントする活動を35年以上にわたり実施しています。

病院内ヘアサロンのバリアフリー病院内にヘアサロンを開設。店舗のバリアフリー化や車いすに乗ったままカットやシャンプーができる移動式理美容車いすを全店に導入するなど、病気や治療によるデリケートな髪の悩みを抱えている患者さまに様々なサポートを行っています。

東日本大震災の被災地支援活動被災地のがん患者さまを支援する「One World プロジェクト」の趣旨に賛同し、2012年7月から2年間、患者さまが使われるウィッグの調整やメンテナンスをサポートする活動（「お手入れ支援サービス」）を行っています。One World プロジェクトや患者さまからの要望により、本支援を2016年6月末まで、さらに2年間延長しました。
