I'm going to thalk about a hobby of mine...drawing. It's an activityI found very interesting drawing people...and especially portraits and that's why I'm going to show you how to draw a frontal face.If someone whants to draw with me I have some paper and pens. First trace the vertical axis of the head.Divide the axis by 3.Divide the axis by 2 and than the lower half again, so that you have a 1/4 and 1/4 of the bottom.Trace a circle on the top with the midle as the first 1/3 and the diameter of 2/3.Trace the second circle in the bottom with the center on the 3/4 of the whole axis and the diameter of 1/2.Perfect, now we have the raw structure of a frontal face. From here we can decide to add less or more personality to the face. Now let's add the first bone structures.- put the nasal notch between the intersection of the two circle.- the orbits just above the lower circle; try to give them a bit of space between them; the space is about the width of the nose.- the mouth level is really something at your choice. I'll put it just a bit lower than the 3/4 of the vertical axis.- trace some rought lines to connect the 2 circles.- the ears start from the top of the eyes to the bottom of the nose- for the neck the reference is the width of both eyes.Women and men difer a bit in neck (tinner in women) and in ears (women have them smaller). But that's in general because I've seen women with rally big ears.OK. Now let's add the eyes, the eyebrowse, the nose and the mouth. Add a hair cut.(Cooler than mine)Technically we've done with the structure. Now we can add some details and corect the parts we don't like. Now we can start adding some shadows. To do that you need to imagine the light rays coming from one side (let's say from HERE) and forming the shadows on the other side.Something like this. You need to know that there are 2 kind of shadows: the self shadow and the reflected one (that drops on another surface). And after giving him more details and light or shades our face should look like this or (why not) better. All you need now is to practice. That's how you'll become able to draw a human face with no reference and giving him/ her the same expresion and feelings as you would have in a live portrait.I hope you enjoyed! I am a tactile person. I often find myself touching materials and objects. I feel a certain need to feel if something is smooth or not. But I don't feel a need to touch people. Never had I got such a complain and I think that these days there are few the people who want to be touched by strangers and we can guess them by the way in which they shake hands or avoid touching.I usualy avoid touching strangers. I think this is a caution that I take. But of course, I like embracing persons like frends, parents and relatives that are close to me and I often do finger fights with my sister whom I touch and embrace as often as I get the chance.
