    6 List of Connection Points

    Label Description

    1 Input Power supply.

2 Input/output Data interface (bi-directional RS232 link).3 Input Signal from GPS receiving antenna.

4 Output HF signal to transmitting antenna.

Warning:Input 3 (GPS antenna signal) is not protected against atmosphericovervoltage. The input is permanently fed by direct current voltage of +5 V(current of 50 mA max.). Short circuit on this input shall permanently damagethe GPS receiver of the X04 module.

    7 List of Indicators

    Label Type Description

PWR Green LED Constant light signaling of power supply presence.

    DIAG Yellow LED

    Module Diagnostic

Operating states are indicated as follows:

The LED diode flashes the equipment is in an active state.

For a message with transmitted position, the light-on time is250 ms and light-off time is 250 ms.

    For a message without transmitted position, the light-on timeis 1 s and light-off time is 1 s.

The diode is not on the equipment is in an inactive state.

The diode lights constantly the equipment is in a failure.

8 Indication and Localization of Error ConditionsThe device is provided with an indication of its own faulty states (seeparagraph 7).

9 List of Setup and Control ElementsThe equipment lacks setup and control elements accessible to the customer.
