NOTE: To complete the entire scene, you will need 3 bags of white beads, 2 bags of grey beads, and 1 bag of each of the other colors.

You will also need quick-drying adhesive, twine or string, tan yarn and a needle to complete your project.

Instructions1. Place your beads on the

pegboards as shown. If you are using a clear pegboard, slide the actual-size pattern underneath it.

2. Ask an adult to fuse your designs—see Fusing Instructions below.

3. Assembly: instructions are included with each object in the scene.

YOU WILL NEED:

1. Place your pegboard on a flat, heat-safe surface.

2. Set a household iron to the medium setting. Place ironing paper over the pegboard. In a circular motion, begin to iron the project. When ironed properly, the beads will still have an open center. Let the design cool.

3. Remove the paper and bead design from the peg board. Flip the design over to expose the non-fused side. Repeat step two. Let cool completely.

Note: Beads need heat for about 10-20 seconds per side to fuse evenly. Depending on the size of the project, additional heating time may be required. Since you are working on a 3-D project, DO NOT OVER-IRON the beads as it will make the centers of the beads close and can make assembly more challenging.

Dog Sled & Eskimos

Assembly:1. Use the yarn and needle to add “fur” to the Eskimos’ hoods by working through the bead holes.

2. Use twine or string to add the harness and reins for the dog as shown in the photo.

3. Insert the dog, sled, and the standing Eskimo’s one foot in the slots in the snow base.

Assembly:1. Turn the leg pieces at right angles to the body piece. Align the slots of the leg pieces to the body and slide together.

2. Glue the head (from page 4) onto the angled edge of the body.

Layer 1

The Igloo Room is constructed by gluing the layers starting from the bottom and working to the top. Align the layers to be centered on top of each other in order, and aligned for the door opening. After you have completed the door opening, the layers above that should be rotated so the vertical grey lines are offset as shown in the photograph. Make 1 piece of each layer unless otherwise noted.
