Mars in Marriage Analysis

Mars – The Planet

This red and fiery planet is the commander-in-chief of the army of the gods. In a horoscope he is the significator of velour, real estate, strength, brother, fire and security. He is a mature young man and rules the ZZZthern direction. His preferred colour is red and his chosen gem is red coral. He is not counted amongst the handsome and is slightly hunchbacked. He also rules the blood-related ailments, the marrow and the bile. He controls the menstrual cycle of women and an individual’s sexual drive and potency depend on the strength and position of Mars. He is notorious for creating all kinds of marital problems (including early death of spouse, dependent however on the configuration of other planets) if positioned in certain houses from the Ascendant.

The Manglik Affliction of Mars

The terminology Manglik (*1) is ascribed to individuals afflicted by the position of Mars intheir birth-chart in specific houses. This causes some traits, the common factor being to

cause delay in one’s marriage & affecting happiness in marital life. It does not affect the individual in any other aspect of life but does affect relationships all around with friends, near & dear ones in family and specifically one’s spouse. In such situations, marriage to another Manglik can be the redeeming factor as the evil afflictions can get neutralized. If the spouse is also a Manglik, there is not much problem. Otherwise, Mars can cause all kinds of marital problems, including use of harsh words and breakdown of understanding.

The affliction may also affect the brother of the Manglik, particular younger brother/s, if any. While Mars posited in the 4th and 12th houses means ordinary dosha, it can be moderately severe in the 1st but in the 7th and 8th, it is grave and much greater. In the worst case, in the 7th, it can induce bad characteristics in the spouse and can affect the longevity of the spouse, while in the 8th, it is termed as ‘maraka’ for the spouse, implying possible death besides begetting less children.

Mars’s Position in two charts:

In the natal chart of ZZZ, planet Mars is posited in the 12th house along with Rahu, whereas in the Moon chart, it is posited in the 6th house.

It is posited in the 2nd house in the Navamsha chart (the 9th harmonic chart). Hence, the natal chart is a Manglik chart and planet Mars act as an obstructive planet in such situation. So, it will create some problems in his romantic and marital aspects of life.

However, in the natal chart of XXX, the planet Mars is posited in the 8th house and in the Moon chart, it is posited in the 4th house, whereas in the Navamsha Chart (the 9th

harmonic chart), Mars is posited in the 11th house, but Sun is placed in the 7th house and Rahu is placed in the 2nd house. Therefore, the above placement of planet Mars signifies that XXX is having a strong Manglik chart in comparison to Manglik influence in the birth chart of her partner.

In such a situation, it is possible that XXX may always try to dominate in this relationship because the placement of Mars in the birth chart of her partner is not able to neutralise the bad influence in her birth chart. Although it is the first romantic relationship that mainly gets affected by the malefic influence of planet Mars in a person’s life who has Mangalik affliction in his/her chart, however, after the breakup of first romantic relationship, its negative impact goes down for subsequent relationships to some extent.

Therefore, if this is the first relationship for both of you, especially for XXX, then having a smooth romance life or continuing this relationship in future will be very tough task for both of you. The placement of Mars in the 8th house indicates that she would try to play a dominating role in sexual relationship and she may react sharply at the time of dissatisfaction. Effect of Mars in respective signs:

Mars is in zodiac sign Libra in ZZZ’s chart, which is the sign of Venus. As planet Mars and Venus are sharing an enemy relationship in his chart, hence Mars could not give its better and favourable results in related areas of his life.

In XXX’s birth chart, Mars is in zodiac sign Aries, which is its own sign. Therefore, she will experience very supportive and favourable results of Mars in related areas of her life.

Nakshatra Melapak-Summary

The conclusion of the above analysis wherein we have discussed the role of Mars in the two natal charts in context of your consideration about marriage possibility with him cannot be said very encouraging. This is because the planetary configurations in XXX’s birth chart are making her strong Manglik, where as ZZZ’s chart is making him normal Manglik.
