Instant Electric Water Heater

Thank you for selecting Midea Instant Electric Water Heater. Please read this manual before installation and be sure to keep it handy for your future reference.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS(To be followed absolutely)

1. This water heater is for household, and it can be installed wherever place that need hot water.

2. Plug is not used for this water heater; this water heater must be connected directly with power switch that comes with leakage-protection. Please distinguish live line (red/brown), neutral line (blue) and earth line (green/yellow) during installation.

3. Do check whether the amperes of the household wiring enough before installation, and dedicated circuit must be used when installation.

4. Before installing this water heater, check and the earth electrode on the socket is reliably earthed, without electricity.

5. The hot water from the water heater may cause scald, please test the temperature of the hot water before use.

6. The distance between water heater installed and water output should be as nearby as possible to avoid loss of heat.

7. The electric water heater may be damaged if the water hardness is too high. To ensure longer product lifespan, please install and put it into use on condition that the local water hardness is less than 450mg/L (CaCO3)

8. In time of lightning/thunder, switch “Off” the Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) in advance to protect the water heater against possible damage.

9. Inspection on the built-in ELCB (once a month) to avoid a hazard to users such as damage to property, serious injury or death.

10. Do cut-off power supply before any maintenance. Any maintenance or adjustment towards this product by non-professional is highly prohibited.

11. The damage power cord must be replaced by a good power cord provided by the manufacturer, and the replacement should be done by a technician or engineer or professionals of the similar products.

12. In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB), this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as timer or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched “On” and “Off” by the utility.

13. Water heater is equipped with adjustable capacity safety valve. For safety use, please do not change its installation location and do not block its water outlet.

14. For any improper installation and incorrect operation of this product, our company will not be liable for any responsibility.

15. This water heater can be used for other purpose, eg. Washing hands, dishes or foods, and so on. (Multi directional water supply is not available).

16. When the shower is used by someone such as child, old person, sick person and physical handicapped person, the concern person is kindly requested to pay attention and check the shower temperature by using hand from time to time.

CAUTION: To prevent personal injury, injury to others and property damage, the instructions above must be followed. Incorrect operation due to failure to follow instructions will cause harm or damage.

WARNING: The water heater should be earthed before use. Please ensure that the resistance of household earth wire is <4 Ω. Using water heater without earthed is highly prohibited.

2. POWER CORD INSTALLATION:

Step 1

Remove the screws at the bottom of the unit. Lift up the Main Switch Knob and Power Knob to make it free. Remove the front plate gently.

Step 3

Gash the middle of the of the power cord jacket with a sharp knife in order to put into power lines.

Step 5

Tighten the wire-pressing plate with screws to primary position, ensure that the power cord not be pulled out more than 60N.

Step 2

Remove the power cord wire pressing plate and keep the screws.

Step 4

Screw the power cord into the jacket for installation of wire pressing plate.

Step 6

Connect the power cord to wiring terminals; the method is as shown in picture.Note: the installation position of neutral line (blue), live line (brown/red) and earth line (green/yellow) should be corresponding to the other end on wiring terminals.

3. WATER HEATER INSTALLATIONa. Determine installation position of the unit according to length of power cord /

position of air switch (Distance between bottom and should be ≥1.6m).b. Make sure the distance between the unit and surrounding wall is not less than

300mm, so that to have enough space for maintenance purpose.c. Determine the position of four screws (attached with the unit), make four holes with

corresponding depth in the wall by means of a drill and drive a wall plug into the hole. d. Drive in the screws on the top and ensure certain distance between screw head and

wall (See Fig. 3).e. Mount the unit on the wall and tighten with two screws at bottom, connect the wires

and install top cover with the screws.

4. PLUMBING CONNECTIONa. Water valve with should be installed at water inlet of the unit, sealing ring with

should be used at end face. (See Fig. 4).b. Shower tube should be connected with water outlets and shower head

separately, attached sealing ring should be used at end face.

WARNING: Metallic / chromed hose and conductive control valve shall not be used.

NOTE: 1. Water adjusting valve with must be used when install the unit.2. Blue marker stands for water inlet, red marker stands for water outlet;3. Do not overexert to avoid damaging the water heater.

5. POWER SUPPLY CONNECTIONa. Adjust power selection knob to “OFF”;b. Choose air switch with leakage protection according to power of water heater;c. When connecting the water heater to electric network, please pay attention to

connect live line (red/brown), neutral line (blue) and earth line (yellow/green) with corresponding line in electric network.

NOTE:1. A private power cord should be used for this unit.2. After connecting to electric network, please check the earth condition and make sure

the earth resistance is <4Ω.

6. WATER SUPPLYAfter all the plumbing is connecting, open water inlet valve of the product and supply water to the unit to drain away air inside until there is stable water comes out from shower head. Check whether there is leakage at joints or not. If there is, check whether the connecting parts are fastened or not, then re-supply water.

HOW TO USE ELECTRIC WATER HEATER1. OPERATING OF THE UNITSwitch on the power supply, the unit will take self-inspection for 2s, ELCBgreen indicator light will be on (under the condition of no electricity leakage).

When the water flow exceeds 1.2L/min, rotate the knob clockwise to switch on heating power rotate switch, heating indicator light will be on, the unit start to work.

2. LEAKAGE TESTINGWhen the water heater is working normally (including working state of PUMP), press TEST button, if the leakage test circuit is no problem, ELCB green indicator light will be off, and the unit will not heat. Press RESET, testing will be canceled, and ELCB green indicator light will be on, the unit will be back to working state set before. If the circuit leaks, press RESET button can’t cancel leakagetesting, ELCB indicator light keeps off, it means the water heater has problems andcan’t be used; all the buttons are invalid, red and green indicator lights are all off,heating is stopped, and pump will be closed.

3. TO ADJUST WATER FLOWRotate the handle of water adjusting valve to adjust the water

ELECTRICITY LEAKAGE PROTECTIONWhen the electricity leakage testing circuit is working normally, if the leakage current is bigger than certain value between 7.5mA and 15mA, the POWER red and ELCB green indicator light will be off, no heating; it can only be used after the failure is excluded. (When electricity leakage is tested, red and green indicator lights are all off, stop heating and close the pump system.)

5. TO ADJUST WATER TEMPERATUREa. Rotate the handle of water adjusting valve to adjust to proper water b. Adjust power by rotating knob, clockwise rotate, power will be increased and water

temperature increase accordingly or vice versa.

6. TO ADJUST WATER PRESSUREa. The water pressure is increased when Pump is started;b. Rotate Pump knob to adjust water pressure, rotate clockwise, water pressure is

increased and vice versa.

7. TO ACTIVATE PUMP FUNCTION (MHW-35MPC ONLY)When the unit is working under normal condition, press “PUMP” and pump will start immediately. Pressing “PUMP” again, Pump function will stop immediately.

USE AFTER OVERHEATING PROTECTIONIf the water is small and power is high while using the unit, outlet water temperature is rather high; the unit will stop heating automatically. At this time, please lower the power and adjust the water faster in order to avoid inconsistency of water temperature.

NOTE: 1. For time using, ensure electrify after the unit is fully with water and there is

stable water comes out from shower head.2. The electric water heater may be damaged if the water hardness is too high.

To guarantee the normal service life, please install and put it into use on condition that the local water hardness is less than 450mg/L (CaCO3)

CAUTIONS 1. This electric water heater should be installed at the place without sunshine or rain

spray. Please cut off power supply if not use for long time.2. Please blow down the water for about 10 second to drain away the impurities in

the pipe before connecting the water source to the electric water heater to avoid blockage of water heater.

3. If long time no use the unit, check the water heater before use. Electrify after the water out stably.

4. Do not spray water to air switch or heater body directly, to avoid moist.5. Please cut off the power in the weather of thunder and rain to avoid damaging the

water heater.6. If not use for long period of time, please cut off water inlet to prolong the lifespan of

the water heater.

MAINTENANCE DECLARATION: this water heater can only be maintained by authorized service personnel, incorrect installation and using method may cause serious injury or loss of property.

WARNING: Do cut off power supply before maintenance, to avoid danger like electric shock. 1. Check the power cord connecting terminals frequently to make sure that they are well

and reliably contacted, no overheating phenomenon, and grounding is good or not.2. Disassembly shower head and sealing ring with to clean periodically.

PANDUAN KESELAMATAN(Sila patuhi sepenuhnya)1. Pemanas air elektrik ini sesuai digunakan di rumah, dan boleh dipasang di mana jua

tempat yang memerlukan air panas.2. Plug tidak akan digunakan untuk pemasangan pemanas air elektrik, pemanas air

elektrik ini harus dihubungkan secara langsung dengan suis kuasa yang mempunyai fungsi perlindungan kebocoran arus. Sila membezakan wayar hidup (merah/coklat), wayar neutral (biru) dan wayar bumi (hijau/kuning) semasa pemasangan.

3. Pastikan ampere kabel isi rumah cukup sebelum pemasangan, dan rangkaian khusus harus digunakan semasa pemasangan.

4. Sebelum memasang pemanas air elektrik ini, menyemak dan mengesahkan bumi elektrod pada soket adalah boleh dibumikan tanpa kuasa.

5. Air panas dari pemanas air elektrik boleh menyebabkan kelecuran, sila memeriksa suhu air panas sebelum digunakan.

6. Jarak antara pemanas air elektrik dipasang dan saluran air harus sedekat mungkin untuk mengelakkan kehilangan panas.

7. Pemanas air elektrik mungkin rosak jika kesadahan air terlalu tinggi. Untuk memanjangkan jangka hidup pemanas air, sila pasang dan guna di bawah keadaan di mana kesadahan air tempatan kurang dari 450mg / L (CaCO3)

8. Semasa berlaku kilat/petir, matikan Pemutus Litar Elektrik (MCB) terlebih dahulu untuk melindungi pemanas air dari sebarang kerosakan.

9. Pemeriksaan ke atas Pemutus Litar Bocor ke Bumi (ELCB) terbina harus dilakukan sebulan selaki untuk mengelakkan bahaya bagi pengguna seperti kerosakan harta benda, kecederaan parah atau kematian.

10. Matikan kuasa sebelum penyenggaraan. Segala penyengaraan atau penyesuaian terhadap produk ini oleh orang yang tidak berkelayakan adalah terlarang.

11. Kabel elektrik yang rosak harus diganti dengan kabel elektrik yang baik yang dibekalkan oleh pengilang, dan penggantian harus dilakukan oleh mereka yang megikut syarat-syarat risalah ini, jurutera atau profesional yang berkelayakan.

12. Untuk mengelakkan bahaya akibat reset Pemutus Litar Bocor ke Bumi (ELCB), alat ini tidak harus disambung melalui alat kawalan luaran, seperti pemasa atau disambungkan ke litar yang boleh dihidupkan “On” dan “Off” oleh utiliti biasa.

13. Pemanas air elektrik ini dilengkapi dengan kapasiti aliran injap keselamatan disesuaikan. Untuk kegunaan keselamatan, jangan menukar lokasi pemasangan dan jangan menyumpat air di saluran keluar.

14. Syarikat kami tidak akan bertanggung jawap untuk segala pemasangan yang salah atau penggunaan yang kesalahan untuk produk ini.

15. Pemanas air elektrik ini boleh digunakan untuk tujuan lain, misalnya cuci tangan, pinggan atau makanan, dan sebagainya. (bekalan air perbagai arah tidak tersedia).

16. Semasa alat pemanas air elektrik digunakan oleh golongan seperti kanak-kanak, orang tua, orang sakit dan orang cacat anggota, orang yang mendampingi mereka adalah dinasihatkan supaya memeriksa suhu mandi dengan tangan dari semasa ke semasa.

PERHATIAN: Untuk mengelakkan daripada berlaku kecederaan, kecederaan kepada orang lain dan kerosakan harta benda, arahan berikut dendaklah dipatuhi. Penyalahgunaan disebabkan kegagalan untuk mematuhi arahan akan menyebabkan kecederaan atau kerosakan.

2. PEMASANGAN KEBEL ELEKTRIK:

Langkah 1

Lepaskan skru-skru di bahagian atas dan bawah, tanggalkan penutup set secara berhati-hati.

Sambungkan kabel elektrik ke terminal-terminal yang betul seperti yang ditunjukkan dalam gambarajah. Nota: posisi pemasangan wayar neutral (biru), wayar hidup (coklat/merah) dan wayar bumi (hijau / kuning) harus sesuai di sebelah hujung terminal.

3. PEMASANGAN ALAT PEMANAS a. Pilih posisi yang sesuai di dalam bilik air and pastikan jarak di antara lantai bilik air

dan alat pemanas ≥1.6m.b. Pastikan jarak antara alat pemanas dan dinding sekitarnya tidak kurang dari 300mm,

supaya cukup ruang untuk tujuan penyenggaraan.c. Tentukan posisi empat skru (dilampirkanan dengan unit), gunakan gerudi and buat

empat lubang dengan kedalaman yang sesuai pada dinding. Masukan palam dinding. d. Masukan skru di bahagian atas dan pastikan jarak yang sesuai antara skru dan

dinding. (Rujuk Gambarajah 3)e. Pasangkan unit di dinding dan ketatkan dengan dua skru di bawah. Sambungkan

kabel dan memasang penutup atas dengan skru.

4. PEMASANGAN PAIPa. Pasangkan injap air dengan penapis pada saluran masuk air, letakkan pelapik getah

di antaranya dan ketatkan. (Rujuk Gambarajah 4)b. Letakan pelapik getah di antara hos pancuran dan kepala pancuran, ketatkan

dengan tangan.

AMARAN: Pengguna tidak boleh menggunakan hos berjenis chromed/ Metallic dan injap kawalan yang berkonduktif.

NOTA: 1. Injap air dengan penapis harus digunakan semasa pemasangan pemanas air ini.2. Saluran masuk air bertanda biru, saluran keluar air bertanda merah.3. Jangan menggunakan daya yang terlalu kuat untuk mengelakan kerosakan pemanas air.

5. PENDAWAIAN ELEKTRIKa. Pusingkan tombol kuasa kepada “OFF”.b. Pilih hawa beralih dengan perlindungan kebocoran yang sesuai dengan kuasa

pemanas air.c. Ketika melakukan pendawaian terhadap pemanas air, pastikan hujung wayar hidup

(merah/coklat), wayar neutral (biru) dan wayar bumi (kuning / hijau) disambungkan pada arah kekutuban yang betul dengan sempurna.

PERHATIAN:a. Pastikan kabel elektrik berasingan digunakan untuk pemanas air ini.b. Selepas sambungan kepada rangkaian elektrik, pastikan unit ini dibumikan dengan

rintangan tanah <4Ω.

6. PENYAMBUNGAN AIR Setelah semua paip selesai menyambung, buka injap air supaya bekalan air masuk mengikut saluran masuk. Udara di dalam akan diuras keluar supaya air keluar dengan stabil. Semak sama ada kebocoran pada sambungan. Jika ada, periksa sama ada bahagian menyambung tersekat atau tidak, kemudian kembali bekalan air.

PANDUAN PENGGUNAAN1. OPERASI UNITHidupkan bekalan kuasa elektrik, pamanas air akan mengambil masa 2 saat untuk pemeriksaan-diri, lampu penunjuk hijau ELCB akan bernyala (dalam keadaan tidak ada kebocoran litar). Apabila aliran air melebihi 1.2L/min, putar Tombol Kuasa mengikut arah jam untuk mengaktifkan kuasa pemanas danlampu penunjuk akan menyala dan mula kerja.

2. UJIAN KEBOCORAN Apabila pemanas air berfungsi dalam kaadaan biasa (sekali dengan PAM), tekan butang TEST, jika sirkit uji kebocoran ada masalah, lampu penunjuk hijau ELCB akan padam dan tidak panas. Tekan butang RESET, ujian akan dibatalkan dan lampu penunjuk hijau ELCB menyala, pemanas air bekerja seperti sebelumnya. Jika kebocoran litar, lampu penunjuk hijau ELCB tidakbernyala dan ini bererti pemanas air mempunyai masalah dan tidak boleh digunakan; semua lampu penunjuk manjadi tidak sah, sama ada hijau atau merah. Pemanas air diberhentikan dan pam juga akan tertutup.

3. MENETAPKAN ALIRAN AIRMemutar injap air aliran masuk untuk menetapkan aliran air.

4. PERLINDUNGAN KEJUTAN ELEKTRIK (ELCB)Sekira litar ujian kebocoran elektrik (ELCB) berfungsi secara normal (jika kebocoran arus lebih daripada lingkungan 7.5mA dan 15mA), lampu POWER dan penunjuk ELCB akan mati dan tidak berfungsi kecuali reset dilakukan. (Bila kebocoran litar diuji, lampu penunjuk merah dan hijau akan mati, pemanas dan sistem pam juga berhenti.)

5. MELARAS SUHU AIRa. Melaraskan aliran air dengan menyesuaikan injap air saluran masuk;b. Memutarkan Tombol Kuasa, mengikut arah jam, kepanasan akan meningkat atau sebaliknya.

6. MENETAP TEKANAN AIR a. Tekanan air meningkat ketika Pam bermula;b. Putar Tombol Pam untuk menetapkan tekanan air. Putar mengikut arah jam, maka tekanan air akan meningkat dan sebaliknya.

7. PENGAKTIFAN FUNGSI PAM (MHW-35MPC SAHAJA)Apabila pemanas air berfungsi di bawah keadaan normal, tekan “PUMP” dan pam akan bermula. Menekan “PUMP” lagi, fungsi pam akan berhenti segera.

PENGGUNAAN SELEPAS PERLINDUNGAN TERLAMPAU PANASJika aliran air yang lemah dan kuasa pemanas diputar kepada tinggi, suhu air saluran keluar menjadi sangat tinggi maka pamanas air akan berhenti secara automatic. Ketika ini, sila rendahkan kuasa pemanas air and menyesuaikan aliran air menjadi lebih cepat untuk mengelakkan suhu air tidak stabil.

PERHATIAN: 1. Untuk penggunaan pertama kali, pastikan saluran air pamanas air diisipenuh dengan

air and mengliran keluar dari pancuran air dengan stabil sebelum bekalan kuasa.2. Pemanas air mungkin rosak jika kesadahan air terlalu tinggi. Untuk menjamin jangka

hidup produk yang lebih panjang, sila pastikan pemasangan yang betul dan gunakannya di bawah keadaan kesadahan air tempatan yang kurang dari 450mg/L (CaCO3)

AMARAN! 1. Pemanas air ini harus dipasang di tempat tanpa semburan sinar matahari atau hujan.

Sila memotong bekalan elektrik jika tidak diguna untuk jangkamasa yang panjang.2. Sila mengalir air keluar kira-kira10 saat untuk menghilangkan kotoran di dalam paip

sebelum sambungan sumber air ke pemanas air untuk mengelakkan sumbatan pemanas air.

3. Jika pemanas air tidak diguna untuk jangka masa yang panjang, periksa terlebih dahulu sebelum guna. Hidupkan kuasa sekira air mengalir keluar secara stabil.

4. Jangan sembur air pada pamanas air secara langsung untuk mengelakkan lembab dan juga bahaya.

5. Sila matikan kuasa elektrik semasa kilat/petir ataupun hujan untuk mengelakkan kerosakan pemanas air.

6. Jika pemanas air tidak diguna untuk jangka masa yang panjang, sila potongkan bekalan air di saluran masuk untuk memanjangkan jangka hidup pemanas air.

PENYENGGARAAN DEKLARASI: Pemanas air ini hanya boleh disenggarakan oleh wakil pusat servis. Segala pemasangan yang salah atau penyalahgunaan boleh menyebabkan kecederaan parah atau kerugian harta benda.

AMARAN: Pastikan bekalan elektrik diberhentikan sebelum kerja pembaikan untuk mengelakkan bahaya seperti kejutan elektrik.

1. Pastikan kord sesalur kuasa adalah sentiasa berhubung dengan terminal untuk memastikan bahawa ia di bawah keadaan yang baik dan fungsi sentiasa, tiada fenomena terlampau panas,dan dibumikan dengan baik.

2. Bersihkan kepala pancuran dan penapis dari semasa ke semasa.

PEMBETULAN

1. Memeriksa sama ada bekalan elektrik dipotong.

2. Hubungi pusat servis dengan segera.

1. Tingkatkan kuasa dengan mumutar Tombol Kuasa.

2. Hubungi pusat servis dengan segera.

3. Hidupkan pemanas air sekali lagi apabila tekanan air meningkat.
