Conversational Chinese and Malay (CCM)

In March 2007, MOE announced thatwithin 5 years, all primary schools andtwo-third secondary schools will offerConversational CL/ML programmes to alltheir students.

Therefore our school planned andstarted the elementary CCM for allSecondary 1 students three years ago.

Conversational Chinese and Malay (CCM)

The objectives are: 1) to strengthen social cohesion among

the different races in Singapore.2) to enable our students to have basic

knowledge of the language for everyday use.

Conversational Chinese and Malay (CCM)

Programme: • A 10-week programme is planned and

conducted (beginning in Feb)• Conducted after curriculum hours(2 hours per week)

• Qualified instructors conduct the lessons and Form teachers will supervise the programme

Cost: • Total Cost for CCM = $23.50

• MOE subsidy = $20

• Student’s Edusave deduction = $3.50
