The Palmyra, a Solís Resort & Spa Introduces the Island Treat Dining Experience Special Package Starts at $299 for a Limited Time MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica, June 28, 2011 – The Palmyra, a Solís Resort & Spa has announced the introduction of the Island Treat dining experience for guests. This new package includes all meals and beverages served at the resort’s restaurants and bars, as well as afternoon Jamaican tea. Guests will also be invited to a cooking demonstration and tasting where they will learn about local ingredients like ackee and pimento, and receive the chef’s favourite recipes as a souvenir. The Palmyra’s two restaurants serve gourmet fare with a Jamaican flare: The casual, al fresco Coco Grove Seaside Grill and Bar is just steps from the beach serves lunch and at Eve's Table guests savor breakfast and dinner in an open, clubhouse setting. At Jack's Bar guests can enjoy tropical treats and refreshments or catch up on the latest sports. Menu selections appeal to everyone’s taste, morning choices include mangocarrot and gingercalaloo juices, a healthy calaloo egg white scramble and coconut rum French toast with guava syrup, in addition to traditional breakfast choices. Poolside lunches at the Coco Grove are light and flavorful. Jerk spiced fish filet is paired with sweet papaya and pineapple, while a scotch bonnet tartar sauce brings an addictive heat to beerbattered local fish. For burger lovers, the chef prepares Kobe beef topped with crisp bacon and melted cheddar. Each afternoon Jamaican tea is an occasion filled with savory bites and Caribbean treats. Sweet potato pudding tarts and tender christophene in chocho tarts balance the sweet coconut confections of traditional gizadda and coconut drops.
