1. Basic Idea

The background story of this game Aesir Chronicle (http://Aesirchronic.net) is

set at the future Taiwan. It narrates that a top scientist Emily accidentally creates a

time crack in a big experiment of advanced aircraft and run into a different world,

where she meets a robot Aesir who’s in distress. In order to find the way to original

world, Emily starts her journey.

Aesir Chronicle is a well-constructed mid core RPG with abundant and amusing

script, adequate IAP store design, understandable operation mode, and design of

strategic playability. With story and instance dungeon mode as the core, players can

develop their own characteristic venture teams and compete with other players by

multiplayer function.

2. Process and Structure

The basic core structure of Aesir Chronicle is interweaved with the management

of the base (spaceship) and the adventure of planet stages. The spaceship is divided

into three parts: cockpit, research and development cabin, and rest cabin.

In the design of playing time, it depends on the APP habit of cell phones. The

playing time mostly appears as extreme M shapes, which means either in 10 minutes

or over 60 minutes. Therefore, this game will be designed to connect many small

stages to become a big chapter and save at any time in order to fit many users’

scattered playing time, and won’t influence their length of playing time.

This game is planned as turn-based RPG, the battle system is easy to understand.

As long as passing the tutorial mode of prologue, players are basically able to

understand the whole game structure. Players averagely arrange about 20 hours to

play at the 1st round (now player level is about 50), and it takes around 50 hours to

finish different branches and true ending at the 2nd round (player level 100). The elite

mode after true ending takes over 80 hours to complete, the playability is quite

sufficient.

The above picture is brief outline of cockpit, it’s the cabin where artificial intelligence

(Uni) is and can operate the planet navigation system to take interstellar trip. The

upper left one is a teleporter to send characters to each cabin or surface of planet.

Research and development (R&D) cabin – where R&D platform is placed, players

modify equipment and do technological R&D here.

3. Adventure System

Adventure mode is mostly the story experience. Players gain levels and move on

the story while exploring the map. Under this mode, players will possibly encounter

the things below:

(1) Encounter enemy – directly into battle mode.

(2) Plot event – trigger the plot (battle could happen).

(3) Treasure chest – finding rewards, equipment or hidden monsters.

(4) Special merchant – selling high quality of products.

(5) Experience influential event – e.g. found a book and read it, then getting

some experience.

(6) Resource event – when finding a mini alien dropped, to help them or not?

(could get feedback).

(7) Talk to the plot-related NPC.

(8) Specific event – some interesting parody option or dungeon message.

4. Battle System

The game applies turn-based battle system. The action order of characters is

decided by their MV value, and there are adequate drop systems for players to do

treasure hunting. There are also abundant numerical design to provide sufficient

strategy for players to challenge. The delicacy of design can be seen from the

following pictures.

5. Multiplayer Battle System

After triggering battle, players must do a lot of strategic deployments to cross

stages. They can develop venture teams at single player mode and battle against

other players with their customized teams.

It imports two players’data to the official server (or Bluetooth/NFC multiplayer

game) to battle one-on-one, and imports accumulated points, then scores on open

leaderboard.

The leaderboard makes a top 50 list according to the challenge ranking.

※ The initial player list will be arranged by registration order. After the 1st round of

contest, a formal ranking will appear.

※ The limit is one round in one day.

※ When logging into the on-line platform, players have to name their own adventure

teams.
