El Imperio de la Garnacha tiene casi 8 siglos de edad.
Los viñedos más antiguos de la D.O. datan de 1145 y de las 5.000 hectáreas de garnacha, más de 2.000 tienen edades
comprendidas entre 30 y 50 años. Sus producciones son bajas, pero inmensamente apreciadas enológicamente por la
complejidad estructural y aromática que proporcionan a los vinos. En la zona baja, encontramos garnachas en vaso y en
espaldera. Sus vinos son cálidos, potentes y muy aromáticos. La zona media se caracteriza por tener la mayor
concentración y densidad de viñedos. Son los suelos de las terrazas del río Huecha, con vinos muy complejos, intensos,
estructurados y carnosos. La zona alta de la D.O. corresponde a las estribaciones del Moncayo, con vinos finos, sutiles y
elegantes.
EL VINO

The Grenache empire goes back in time for almost eight centuries.
The oldest vineyards of the D.O. date from 1145, and of its 5,000 hectares of Grenache over 2,000 have
been planted for between 30 and 50 years. Production is low but highly valued by wine experts for the
structural and aromatic complexity that it confers on its wines. In the low-lying zone are Grenaches
grown using the goblet method and on trellises. The resulting wines are warm, powerful and very
aromatic. The middle zone is characterised by a higher concentration and density of vineyards. These
are set on the terraces of the River Huecha, and produce highly complex, intense, structured and
fleshy wines. The high zone of the D.O. lies on the foothills of Moncayo, with its fine, subtle and
elegant wines.

La Ruta de la Garnacha, una Tierra de Leyendas.
La Ruta de la Garnacha la componen alrededor de 40
establecimientos adheridos y 18 entidades asociadas.
Cuenta con bodegas, restaurantes, bares de vinos,
casas de turismo rural, hoteles, museos, centros de
interpretación y tiendas especializadas o singulares
como alimentación, artesanía, eventos, etc. A estos
recursos se unen los propios del territorio, una amplia
oferta cultural que se une a las múltiples posibilidades
que la naturaleza te brinda.
Ésta es una tierra de leyendas donde escritores, poetas y
músicos han dado lo mejor de sí para dotar a esta ruta de
una personalidad única.

The Grenache Route, a land of legends.
The Grenache Route involves 40 partner establishments and 18 partner organisations. It has wineries, restaurants,
wine bars, rural tourism houses, hotels, museums, interpretation centres and specialist or unusual shops selling food
and crafts, putting on events, etc. Then there are local ventures, a lively cultural scene that offers an alternative to
enjoyment of the natural environment.
This is a land of legends where writers, poets and musicians have done their best to give this route its unique character.

GASTRONOMÍA
Tradición y vino.
La Ruta de la Garnacha sabe a tradición y a vino,
a tempranillo, cabernet, merlot, syrah y por
supuesto, a garnacha. Con ella se elaboran
caldos afrutados, equilibrados y que acompañan
perfectamente al ternasco, a pimientos y
espárragos de las riberas del Canal de Lodosa, a
un asado de cabrito moncaíno, a un plato de
migas con chorizo y uvas, al pan recién
horneado rociado con aceite de empeltre y
arbequina o untado con caviar de oliva de la sierra
del Moncayo o al queso de oveja de Bureta con
miel de Fuendejalón.
Tradition and wine.
The Grenache Route tastes of tradition and wine: Tempranillo, Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah and of course,
Grenache. This grape is responsible for fruity, balanced wines, a perfect accompaniment to local
lamb, sweet peppers and asparagus from the river beds of the Lodosa Canal, and Moncayo roast kid,
dishes of “migas” (fried breadcrumbs) with chorizo sausage and grapes, freshly baked bread sprinkled
with Empeltre or Arbequina olive oil or spread with olive caviar from the Sierra del Moncayo mountains,
or sheep’s cheese from Bureta with honey from Fuendejalón.
GASTRONOMY
Los Dances o “paloteaos”, importantes manifestaciones festivas.
Los dances o paloteaos son una muestra de folclore con gran arraigo en la comarca. Manifestaciones
festivas tradicionales que aglutinan música, baile y teatro. También puedes disfrutar de otras tradiciones,
como el pesado de los niños en Albeta, las subidas del Mayo y las romerías, muy presentes en casi
todos los municipios, etc. La Semana Santa es otro de los momentos esperados, destacando
especialmente la de Borja, considerada Fiesta de Interés Turístico Regional.

Stick dances or “paloteaos” are a
display of folklore with deep roots in
the region, at traditional festive
events with music, dance and theatre.
You can also enjoy other traditions
like the ceremony of weighing
children in Albeta, the “subidas del
Mayo" and religious processions,
common in most towns in the area,
etc. Easter Week is another special
occasion, particularly in Borja, where
it is now considered a Festival of
Regional Tourism Interest.

Al noroeste de la provincia de
Zaragoza, a 60 km de la capital, se
accede a ella por la N-122 que une
ésta con Soria o por la AP-68, de
Zaragoza a Navarra, País Vasco y La

Los trenes de alta velocidad que
llegan a Zaragoza o el aeropuerto
de la capital aragonesa colocan a la
Ruta de la Garnacha cerca de
cualquier punto del país.

La comarca de El Bierzo está situada al noroeste de la
provincia de León.
La autovía A-6 atraviesa El Bierzo de este a oeste, conectando
Madrid y Galicia. Además, existen conexiones ferroviarias diarias
con las ciudades gallegas más importantes, así como con
Barcelona, Irún, Madrid y León.
Por otra parte, el aeropuerto de León tiene conexiones diarias con
Madrid y Barcelona. Más alejados, el deValladolid, Asturias y
el aeropuerto internacional de Lavacolla, en Santiago de

El Bierzo is a great area for wine tourism: guided visits to wineries and
vineyards, tasting courses, sampling of local wines and produce
etc. There is also an immense cultural and natural heritage, including the
world famous Way of Saint James.
But once here, you should try not to miss the innovative Mirada Circular walk,
an initiative of intelligent and sustainable tourism so typical of El Bierzo,

The A-6 dual carriageway crosses El Bierzo from east to west, the main
Madrid to Galicia route. There are also daily railway connections with all

León Airport has daily flights to Madrid and Barcelona. Further
away, Valladolid, Asturias airports and Lavacolla international airport in
Santiago de Compostela, less than 250 km from Ponferrada, provide

Different ways of discovering El Penedès.

Abril 2017: El mes de experiencias en la Ruta del Vino DO Empordà
Durante el mes de abril llega la 4a edición del festival de las experiencias
enoturísticas en la Costa Brava, Vívid, con un amplio programa de
actividades y propuestas exclusivas e innovadoras para descubrir la Ruta
del Vino DO Empordà.

April 2017: The month of DO Empordà Wine Route experiences
All April long the Costa Brava wine tourism Festival Vívid reaches its
4th edition, with a wide program of exclusive activities and innovative
proposals to discover the DO Empordà Wine Route.

Sherry Marathon
In The Wine and Brandy Route of the Marco de Jerez.
30th of April at 9:00 h, González Hontoria Park.
It offers a unique opportunity to run through Jerez and the
sea of vineyards that surround the city, participating in a
special race along the legendary distance of 42,195 km.
Sherry Marathon combines the personal challenge with the
opportunity to discover one of the great cultural and natural
heritage of Spain, Jerez de la Frontera and Marco de Jerez.
The athletes will tour the most famous avenues, streets ans
squares of the city and the most magical roads ans lanes of
the vineyard mantle of the Jerez de la Frontera.

30 de Abril a las 9:00 h, Parque González Hontoria.
Ofrece una oportunidad única para recorrer Jerez y el mar de viñas que
circundan la ciudad, participando en una carrera especial a lo largo de la
legendaria distancia de 42.195 km.
Los primeros kilómetros son un recorrido urbano por las principales calles
del casco histórico antes de adentrarnos en el mar de viñas, donde
recorremos algunos de los viñedos más representativos del Marco de
Jerez y se podrá disfrutar de los mejores productos gastronómicos.

XIX Fiesta de los Patios Portuenses dedicada al vino de Jerez En la Ruta del Vino y el Brandy del Marco de Jerez.
Del 27 al 30 de Abril, Puerto de Santa María.
El Puerto de Santa María cuenta con unos seiscientos patios censados por la
Asociación Cultural Amigos de los Patios Portuenses: monumentales, conventuales,
bodegueros, religiosos, señoriales, populares...
Durante cuatro días los vecinos del centro histórico abren de nuevo sus patios al
conjunto de la ciudad y del turismo, y podemos disfrutar de uno de sus patrimonios
más singulares y destacados, con diferentes actividades culturales programadas con
motivo de esta fiesta. Los patios son espacios bañados con el color de sus flores, el
olor del vino de la tierra y la solidaridad de sus vecinos.

El Puerto de Santa Maria has around six hundred coutyardes registered
by the Cultural Association Friends of the Patios Portuenses:
monumental, conventual, winemakers, religious, seigniorial, popular...
For four days the neighbors of the historic center open their patios to the
whole city and the tourism, and we can enjoy one of its most unique and
outstanding patrimony, with different cultural activities programmed for
this festival. These patios are spaces bathed with the color of its flowers,
the smell of the wine of the earth and the solidarity of its neighbors.

Como cada año, la Cata del Vino Montilla-Moriles da el pistoletazo de
salida a la primavera en Córdoba. De la campiña, zona vinícola a unos
50 km al sur de la capital, proceden los prestigiosos vinos que bajo la
Denominación de Origen Montilla-Moriles son conocidos en toda
España.
Podrás encontrar más de 27 bodegas inscritas, junto a una decena de
establecimientos de restauración que consiguen combinar a la
perfección la gastronomía cordobesa con los más afamados vinos del
Sur de Córdoba. La Cata del Vino se convierte también en el mejor
escenario para la celebración de actividades culturales que fomentan
la cultura del vino en nuestra provincia.

Like every year, the Montilla-Moriles Wine Tasting gives the start of
spring in Córdoba. From the countryside, a wine-growing area about
50 km south of the capital, come the prestigious wines under Montilla-
Moriles Certificate of Origin. They are known all around Spain.
You will be able to find more than 27 registered wineries, along with a
dozen establishments that perfectly combine our gastronomy with the
most famous wines of the South of Cordoba. The Wine Tasting also
becomes the best scene to celebrate other cultural activities that
promote wine culture in our province.

Las Rutas del Vino y Brandy del Marco de Jerez están
formadas por los ocho municipios que forman el Marco
de Jerez: Chiclana, Chipiona, El Puerto de Santa María,
Jerez, Puerto Real, Rota, Sanlúcar de Barrameda y
Trebujena, ofreciendo una maravillosa variedad de paisajes
y recursos enoturísticos que hacen posible nuevas e

La región de producción de los vinos amparados por las
Denominaciones de Origen Jerez - Xérès-
Sherry, "Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda" y Vinagre
de Jerez y Denominación Específica Brandy de Jerez,
denominada "Marco del Jerez", se encuentra situada en el
extremo sudoeste de Andalucía - provincia de Cádiz,
delimitado por la desembocadura del Guadalquivir, el
Parque Nacional de Doñana, el océano Atlántico y la
campiña de Jerez regada por el río Guadalete.

el epicentro de la cultura vitivinícola del jerez y que se extiende al resto de ciudades.

Marco de Jerez has a strategic location and excellent connections with the rest
