Rooted and Growing in Christ Caring and Sharing in Life for Eternity
COMMUNION STATEMENT: As Lutherans, we
believe that Scripture teaches that Jesus Christ is
truly present in, with, and under the bread and the
wine and that through this Sacrament, Jesus
strengthens and forgives us through His body and
blood. As we celebrate this Sacrament, those who
participate in it also express their shared agreement
in articles of faith and fellowship with other
Christians. As many denominations are not in such
agreement, we ask that all those who are not
members of a congregation of The Lutheran Church-
Missouri Synod, or are not members of a Lutheran
congregation which shares our understanding of the
Sacrament, please speak with the Pastor before
communing.
COMMUNION WINE
ALCOHOL FREE REMINDER

colored wine in the center of the individual

St. Peters Adopt-a-Highway
HELP WANTED!
In February of 1993 (25 years
ago) St. Peters Lutheran
Church & School has participated in the
Adopt-a-Highway Program. Carl Laich headed
up the program for a majority of the years and
then Ken Geil up until this last year. (We thank
them both for their years of service!)
We are responsible for bagging of roadside litter
on Gratiot between 29 and 31 Mile Roads.
Collections take place three times a year. Our
first collection date will be Saturday, April 14th.
We are looking for volunteers (from church and
community) to work on one of our four crews
on April 14th beginning at 9 am (we will meet in
the church parking lot (31 Mile Road side) just
prior at 8:50 am). Volunteers will be provided
with safety vests, garbage bags and collection
tools. The collection takes a couple of hours.
Minimum age limit is 12 years of age and we
welcome any and all volunteers. It is a great
program and provides a positive reflection on
our church and school.
Please contact Keith Rengert at (586 727-
4663 or [email protected]) to confirm
your attendance for the pick-up on April 14th.
Hope to see a great turnout!!
Whats New About Stephen Ministry???
Over the past several years, many St. Peters
members have found comfort and Christian assurance
through the support of our Stephen Ministers. We are
now expanding our one-on-one support to also offer a
Visiting Team. Two of our membersKim Hake
and Don Gillettehave expressed a desire and a need
to serve those in our congregation who may be
hurting in some way. They have attended training
sessions and are ready to serve together with a
Stephen Minister as part of a Visiting Team. Stephen
Ministers, along with our newly-trained visiting
partners, will be dedicated in all services this
weekend. If you, or someone you know, would like to
receive caring support from this confidential ministry,
please contact Pastor Haller or the church office.
