PRODUCT DESCRIPTION OptiG  filtration control agent is a naturally occurring asphaltite used for reducing HPHT filtrate in diesel- or mineral oil-based drilling fluids. BENEFITS The OptiG mineral is readily dispersible in diesel- and mineral oil-based drilling fluids, in which it controls HPHT fluid loss. APPLICATION OptiG HPHT fluid loss control effectiveness extends to its melting point of 350°F (177°C). Higher purity grades, available upon request, may extend temperature limitations as high as 450°F (232°C). Grade selection is based upon expected bottom hole temperature. TREATMENT RECOMMENDATION Initial concentration range is 2-6 lb/bbl. OptiG clean-up is achieved through aromatic solvents (benzene,toluene, xylene) and in most chlorinated solvents. Follow safe handling and use instructions regarding all solvents.
