About the DepartmentThe Department of Commerce envisages the
life time value
of students by inspiring the value of education, entrepre-
neurial skills, business traits, leadership qualities,
research
eccentricity and ethics among students. Based upon objec-
tives, the COMPUCOM (Students Association) activities
were prone to different clusters of students. The department
offers B.Com, B.Com (CA), B.Com (IT), B.Com (PA),
B.Com (Capital Marketing), B.Com (BPS), M.Com, MIB,
M.Phil and Ph.D programmes.

Sri Krishna Arts and Science College is one of the leading
Educational Institutions ofhigher learning run by VLB trust. The
college is affiliated to Bharathiar University and is anISO
9001:2008 certified institution. The college has been awarded by
NAAC with the high-est grade namely A. It is an autonomous college
where in the curriculum is designed byseparate Board of Studies to
reflect current trends.
Under autonomy the B.Com students have to undergo 3 months
internship program inreputed industries/institutions. During the
internship they should acquire the first handknowledge of the
functioning of various processes and departments. They should also
main-tain a work diary where in the daily observations are recorded
during the internship pro-gram. At the end of the internship the
students are advised to get a certificate from the insti-tution and
submit it to the department. The 3 months internship program is
mandatory forwho pursue B.Com program.
After the internship is over the students have to prepare a
report of the various activi-ties carried out by departments where
in they have received the training. Based on the reportsubmitted, a
viva voce examination will be conducted to evaluate the internship
programand marks are awarded.
