Error :Number Range for Trans/Event Type WA in Year 2005 does not Exist

Dear marvick, 

I am not bale to maintain material stock, I am getting the error message "NUMBER RANGE FOR

TRANS./EVENT TYPE WA IN YEAR 2005 DOES NOT EXIT" 

can you please suggest me the solution.

Further .....To temporary block the creation of Sales Order for a certain materials. 

Set the material status parameters in transaction SM30, Table Views V_TVMS. 

Click Maintain and double click into the Materials Status code. 

You can set three types of reponse for each Sales and Distribution process :- 

1. no dialog 

2. warning when entering the document 

3. error message (that is, the sales and distribution document cannot be entered on 

the basis of the material status)

Try T code OMBT click on the groups button, select the 

Material documents for goods movements and inventory diffs. 

WA WE WF WH WI WL WO WQ WR WS WV WW WZ 

And then select the maintain icon, you need to maintain the number range 

for the year 2005.

thank you garry , I will try this opetion, can you please let me know the steps involved in maintaining

the stock, os that if I am doing any mistake while doing it I can once again check it.

I have copied the company code 0001 to configure the company. I am working on SAP R/3 SD 4.6b
