    OFFENSIVE LINEPass Protection Drills

    I Stance by CommandA. UpB. StaggerC. Down

    II EaglesIn pass squat, 1/4PthP turn to RT on command bring yourself back tostart point, work LT as well. Keep good pass squat working on bend.

    III FootworkA. With hands behind back work taking 3 consecutive power steps

    and 3 consecutive kick slides. RT side LT side. From passsquat.

    B. From pass squat with hands high work power and kick steps bycommand. RT and LT side.

    C. On air from 3 point stance work to cadence on getting uprightwith indicator to head up Tech with speed.

    D. On air from 3 point stance, work on getting upright and gettingaligned to various styles of rush.

    Example:Wide 2 kicks settle.Outside drop outside foot.Head up, inside-power step.Work RT/LT side on Cadence.

    IV LeverageTest balance by having partner trying to pull arms down fromextended position. To keep balance must drop butt. Also havepartner try to push side to side.

    V Work PhaseWith partner get as if punched defender. Have defender work you tooutside and up and inside. Use power steps, kick sides and goodpass squat position.

    VI Punch DrillUse partner. Get into pass squat, hands up. Have defender come atyou with bag. When bag approaches zone, sit punch and extend.Take 3 reps RT and LT stagger.

    VII Punch and Fall DrillHave defender keep feet together and with no step fall at offensivepartner stiff bodied. Should be facing partner. Offensive player in 3

    pt stance. When defender starts to fall get upright and punch extendcontrol.

    VIII Double PunchSet to inside and outside punch bag.

    IX FinishPre fit to outside shoulder. Must kick and punch simultaneously inorder to stay square.

    X Head CatchGet into 3 pt stance. Have defender stand on front corner. Whenyou get upright defender should square his buddy to you and try tograb the back of your head. This will force you to get upright punchand sit as to not get bent over at waist.

    XI Mirror DodgeGet two cones 5 yards apart. Get into up pass pro position. Keepyour hands up. Have defender try to beat you by crossing the line

    between the two cones. You will keep good pass squat working onyou power step and lateral kick slide. Use your punch to keepdefender from crossing line. Once punched, defender should resetand start again. This is a drill that can be done with sandbags aswell.

    II Stance One Step, Two Step, PWA. One Step short six inch step. Drive hands to Hip.

    B. Two Step Punch back knee thru.

    C. Together simultaneous steps for speed.

    D. Power walk.

    III FDM Partner DrillA. Feet heel down position of legs.

    B. Feet Drive slight speed change dont chop feet.

    C. Feet Drive Move on the move accelerate hips and knees.Glue defender.

    IV Chute / Sled Progression

    A. 1-2 Fit Walk.B. 2PndP Step Punch beat your hands with back foot.C. 2PndP Step Punch and Drive tight punch.D. One Step Punch and Drive timing.E. LiveF. 6 Point Explosion Punch.G. Strain 2 defenders stone OL the close back.
