automakers in Canada has to be Kia. From humble beginnings with their iconic Sportage compact utility vehicle in 1999, Kia has grown their product line to include something for just about every taste and need. With a national dealer network of over 170 stores, Kia is well poised to move up from their current position as the 7th largest automaker in Canada.

Being positioned as the value leader in terms of initial purchase price and overall operating costs has kept the Kia family growing even during economic downturns. While the Canadian automotive industry experienced a 4.8% decrease in sales during the credit crisis of 2008-2010, Kia enjoyed a 43.6% improvement in their deliveries. From 2008 through 2012 Kia has doubled its share of the Canadian market as more and more consumers are putting their money where it gets the most in terms of a transportation return.

“Kia Canada is in the midst of transitioning into our all-new exciting product lines and has revealed an unprecedented seven new vehicles in the last 90 days that will be launched in Canada through this year,” said Jack Uczciwek, Director of Sales, Kia Canada Inc. “With the redesigned 2014 Sorento now available, and the all-new 2014 Forte sedan to

The 2014 Kia Forte was names to Ward’s Top 10 Best Interiors and the Rio was named Motoring TV’s 2013 Best Small Car. The mid-sized Optima earned the title of Road & Travel Magazine’s International Car of the Year. Kia will introduce 9 all-new or significantly enhanced products in Canada this year, providing more reasons than ever for shoppers to visit their neighbourhood Kia store.

Among the newcomers will be the all-new 2014 Forte sedan with both a 148hp 1.8 L power-plant and a 173 hp 2.0 L direct injection engine offerings. The standard equipment list on the Forte contains items usually only found on higher trim levels of the competition. The new standard in SUV’s, the Sorento gets a new lower and broader appearance with a 191 hp 4 cylinder and 290 V6 engine options, both with direct fuel injection for improved economy. A power lift-gate will be available as well as a blind spot detection system.

The all-new 2014 Kia Rondo will stretch the boundaries of an urban utility vehicle with both 5 and 7 passenger configurations and premium cabin refinements. Vehicle stability management and electronic stability control are on-board for improved safety.

And for those that believe a value price leader can’t deliver on luxury, Kia will dispel that myth with the all-new 2014 Cadenza later this year. Powered by a 293 hp 3.3 L direct injected V6, this premium sedan will be the most technologically advanced Kia ever in Canada. It will offer a long list of premium amenities as standard equipment: large high resolution screen with navigation, backup camera with rear warning system, premium 12-speaker Infinity audio system with subwoofer, Bluetooth wireless technology, Smart Key entry with push button ignition, leather seat trim with 8-way power driver seat, dual zone automatic climate control, 18”

allow wheels and available 19” wheels. Safety features will include 8 airbags and available options will include full-length panoramic sunroof with retractable sunshade, HID headlamps with adaptive front lighting system, TFT LCD instrument cluster, premium Nappa leather seats, ventilated driver’s seat with seat cushion extension, heated front and rear outboard seats, heated steering wheel with power tilt and telescoping steering column, power rear sunshade, smart cruise control, blind spot detection and lane departure warning systems.
