In this Issue, we focus on the achievements of IEEE UVCE during the year 2014-15. The IEEE UVCE student branch, revived in the year 2001 is a titan in its own right. It’s astute commitment to the cause of furthering the dissemination of knowledge is re- flected by the gamut of activities organized. Symposiums, Guest lectures and the national level paper presentation contest-KAGADA are some of the events held annually. Testimony to the fact that we’ve been incessantly working for the student community, is the number of awards we have won. We have won several awards at the Bangalore Section of IEEE which include the “Best Student Branch Award” and “Best Student Chapter Website Award”. Our counselor Dr. P Deepa Shenoy has won the “Best Branch Counselor Award”, we have also won the “Volunteer Ser- vice Award”. The most recent feather added to our cap was our WIE chapter being declared as the “Most Vibrant Affinity Group of the Year” in the Women in Engineering Professional Activities Day held by IEEE Bangalore Section. We await suggestions from the student community and thank them for their whole-hearted support and encour- agement.
