Thesecondphotoatfirstwaspretty bad,asthemainsubjectwasinthe centreofthephotoandtherewasalot ofnegativespace.ButIcroppeditso thattheflowerisintheruleofthirds, andchangedthecurvestomakethe flowersstandoutmuchmorethanthe greenandthedetailinthefloweris easily.But,thegreenseemstoodark, andthegrasslooksweirdlyredand theshadowslooktooutofplacefor theimage. Thethirdphotohadgreatlightingand itcastreallygoodshadows,andthe flowerslookedgreatwiththelight shiningonthem.Imessedaround withtheexposureandmadethelight shadowsworkevenbetter,butthe lightbleachedtheplantsanditlooked reallyuncanny,butthebeeonthe flowerlooksreallygoodontheflower, redeemingpartsifthephoto.The shadowsandthelightontheleaves lookedmuchbetterthentheflowers. Thefourthphotohadvariedcoloursand theflowersworkedwellwitheach other,whenIeditedthephoto,Imade thegreenbrightertomaketheoverall photomuchmorecolourful.Butthe imagelooksblurredontheflowersand theyellowflowersseemunnaturally brightandseemabitoutofplace. 2. Professionalcomparison Whenmyphotosarecomparedtothephotobelow,youcanseethatthereisno realfocusinanyofthephotos,showingalmostnodetail,andthattheylook artificialwithhowbrighttheyare.Theimageusestherightadjustmentstomake thecolourworkreallywellandcontrastingcoloursworkreallywellwitheach other,thecontrastingcoloursinsomeofmyphotosworksbetterthenother photos. Fitnessforpurpose Myphotoswouldworkwellinasmallgardeningleafletforalocalgardening centreoranysmalllocalevents,butitwouldntworkforwellknowngardening magazinesorhightiergardeningwebsitesasmostoftheimageslooktoo artificial,toosaturated,couldbehardtolookatandthatthecroppingdoesnt looklikeitwouldworkinanybigmagazinesasitsfocusonthemainsubjectand mightbeabitconfusingtolookatbecauseitnotfocusedonanythingin particular,itmightbeboringlookatbecauseofthenegativespace.Butitwould workforalocalleaflet,aspeoplewouldthinkcolourfulandstandsoutand wouldmakepeoplemorelikelytovisitthestore.
