     1. Consider the example given below to get the time response of the system for a given unit

    step input.

    Interpretation according to MiPower:

      We have to simplify the given transfer function (blocks) into MiPower compatible formi.e. split the block diagram into elementary blocks available in the free programmableblocks.

      To Draw Gain Block

    From main menu select Elements→→→→Arithmetic Blocks →→→→Gain or from tool box select Gain .Connect the gain block between the nodes by double clicking on node3 and node5 respectively,which invokes gain block data screen. Give gain constant as 17.999.

      To Draw Differentiator

    From main menu select Elements→→→→Functional Blocks →→→→Differentiator or from tool box selectDifferentiator . Connect the differentiator between the nodes by double clicking on node3 andnode13 respectively, which invokes differentiator block data screen. Give derivative constant as6.323. The initial value of the output node of the differentiator i.e. initial value of node 13 must bezero.

      To Draw Integrator

    From main menu select Elements→→→→Functional Blocks  →→→→Integrator or from tool box selectIntegrator connect the integrator between the nodes by double clicking on node3 and node7respectively, which invokes integrator block data screen. Give integrator constant as 12.80. Theinitial value of the input node of the integrator i.e. initial value of node 3 should be zero.

    Connect other Adder, Integrator and Filter blocks as explained above. Completed FPB blockdiagram is as shown below.

    After completing the block diagram select Specifications →→→→FPB Specifications. Following screenwill open. Give time step and simulation time as shown below.

    Give disturbance data by selecting Specifications →→→→Disturbance Data. Following screenappears. Enter the disturbance data at node 1 with step input and time.

    Now select Execute from main menu to simulate the FPB

    Click here

    Click OK

    Click save

    Click OK

    Give the file name with .dat extension and save the file in the required directory.

    Now from main menu select Execute →→→→Simulate FPB. Then select Execute →→→→Plot Graph 

    MiGraph screen will open. To plot graph follow the steps.
