®Gaspari Connect Service è il nuovo servizio integrato di

assistenza remota messo a disposizione dei propri clienti dalla ®Gaspari Menotti. Il GCS è montato su tutte le macchine di nuova

generazione (lucidatrici, linea resinatura e movimentazione,

macchine a filo diamantato e tagliatrici per lastre) ed è una

infrastuttura informatica chiavi in mano gia configurata che utilizza

la rete internet come canale di comunicazione.

Unica condizione necessaria per poter fornire questo tipo di servizio

è un accesso ad internet all'interno dello stabilimento produttivo.

UN SISTEMA IN CONTINUA EVOLUZIONE

Il vecchio sistema di tele-assistenza utilizzava il canale telefonico,

analogico o digitale, che aveva il vantaggio di essere estremamente

diffuso e di facile utilizzo ma non garantiva una velocità di

connessione elevata con conseguente limitazione del sistema. ®GCS adotta internet come canale di comunicazione tenendo conto

che ormai la diffusione delle connessioni alla rete sono sempre più

diffuse anche nei settori aziendali medio piccoli.

Controllo®La connessione di GCS con la rete può essere attivata solo ad

opera del cliente stesso tramite di un comando specifico presente

a bordo macchina lasciando a questo modo a lui il controllo

completo sull'accessibilità remota del proprio impianto.

la vicinanza di un accesso internet al quadro della linea, che non

transiti attraverso proxy aziendali. Nessuna attività di

configurazione della rete aziendale del cliente.

®Gaspari Connect Service is the new integrated service of remote ®assistance available for Gaspari Menotti clients. GCS is already

installed on all Gaspari new generation machines (polishing

machines, resin and handling lines, diamond wires machines and

slabs cutting lines), it is a turnkey data processing system, already

configured, which employs internet as communication channel.

The only condition necessary to enter this type of service is an

access to internet inside the factory.

A SYSTEM IN CONSTANT EVOLUTION

The old tele-assistance system used the phone channels, analogic

or digital, which had the advantage of being extremely diffused and

easy in use but which did not guarantee a high connection speed,

thus limiting the overall efficiency of the system. ®GCS adopts internet as communication channel since nowadays

the diffusion of connections to the net are ever increasing and

common even in small factories.

Control®The GCS connection with the network can be activated only by the

client himself through a specific control located on the machine; in

such way, the client has the complete control of the remote access

of his own machine.

APPROFONDITISTUDI PROGETTUALI

La lucidatrice PGM è stata completamente progettata

e disegnata con uno dei più avanzati sistemi CAD 3D

presenti sul mercato.

Tutti i componenti importanti strutturalmente sono

stati progettati e verificati sia in termini di resistenza

alle sollecitazioni prodotte in fase di lavoro che alle

deformazioni subite tramite l' utilizzo di un sofisticato

programma FEM.

Con l' utilizzo di tali sistemi di supporto alla

progettazione si sono raggiunti obbiettivi impensabili

con i vecchi metodi sia in termini di ottimizzazione

del materiale ai fini della rigidezza sia in termini di

prestazioni finali della macchina.

Affidabilità costante nel tempoConstant reliability over time

Tutte le superfici dei manufatti, strutture saldate o fusioni,

vengono preparate mediante ciclo di sabbiatura a mezzo

di abrasivo siliceo secondo la specifica SSPC-SP10.

Dopo la sabbiatura le superfici sono immediatamente

spolverate e verniciate con due mani di primer epossidico.

Dopo il ciclo di lavorazione alle macchine utensili si

procede con un lavaggio a pressione con sapone

sgrassante, per eliminare ogni traccia di olio emulsionato, i

pezzi sono poi asciugati.

Si procede quindi al trattamento finale costituito da due

mani di vernice epossidica bi-componente

di cui la prima ad elevato spessore coprente e la seconda,

di finitura, per conferire il colore desiderato.

Questa procedura è l’ideale per l’applicazione di prodotti

epossidici ad alti spessori senza la presenza di solventi in

quanto permette di ottenere consistenti strati privi di

porosità.

IN-DEPTH DESIGN RESEARCH

The PGM polishing machine was designed in its

entirety with the aid of one of the most advanced

CAD 3D systems on the market.

All the important and structural components were

designed and controlled both in terms of their

resistance to stress during the working phase and to

the deformations that occur with the use of a

sophisticated FEM program

Thanks to the use of these systems to aid design, we

have achieved objectives that were unimaginable

with the old methods, both in terms of optimising the

sturdiness of the materials and the final performance

of the machine.

The surfaces of all manufactured components, welded structures

or castings are prepared with a sand-blasting cycle using siliceous

abrasive according to SSPC-SP10 specifications.

After the sand-blasting, the surfaces are immediately sprinkled and

painted with two coats of epoxy primer.

After the working cycle with NC machines, all parts and

components are washed at high pressure with a degreasing soap

to eliminate all traces of oil and are then dried. The next stage is

the final treatment with two coats of bi-component epoxy paint, the

first of which is very thick, and the second, to finish, gives the

desired colour. This procedure is ideal for the application of epoxy

paints in thick coats without the use of solvents to achieve thick

layers with no porosity.

HIGH STANDARDS OF SURFACE TREATMENT

The spindle body is made of strong high

resistance cast iron, inside which the

chromium steel sleeve slides to ensure the

vertical movement of the polishing head.

The chromium sleeve housing the spindle

shaft slides vertically in a bronze bush and

not in the cast iron body, which heightens the

smooth functioning and precision of the

head.

The working thrust is supported by a pre-

assembled compact unit composed of two

conical bearings, from the automotive sector,

complete with etchings which is life-

lubricated. This eliminates all problems of

maintenance and reliability.

The vertical movement is achieved by means

of a couple of pneumatic actuators powered

and controlled by electro-valves programmed

by the PLC.

Rotation is achieved by high-yield belt and

pulley transmission between the electrical

motor and the spindle.

All internal parts are protected by labyrinths

and guards to ensure maximum reliability.

The spindle group is housed at the centre of

the beam to ensure the maximum balance

and sturdiness of all the spindle beam units.

gestita da un impianto completamente

L' impianto di dosatura e distribuzione

del grasso è del tipo monolinea

progressivo, che è l' unico sistema di

distribuzione che garantisce il controllo

di avvenuta lubrificazione in tutto il

centinaio di punti della macchina

attraverso dei sensori di fine ciclo.

The lubrication of all components that

require the programmed and split

reintegration of lubricants both in terms

of quantity and time intervals is

managed by a fully automatic system

controlled by the machine’s work

The grease dosage and distribution

system is a progressive mono-line

type. This is the only distribution

system that guarantees lubrication in

all the hundred points of the machine

by means of end-cycle sensors.

Il bancale è realizzato in una struttura monoblocco in acciaio elettrosaldato per ottenere grande rigidezza.

Il piano di lavoro è rettificato alle macchine utensili per ottenere una planarità assoluta in ogni punto dello stesso.

Il nastro trasportatore, speciale ha una struttura a tele multiple sovrapposte per garantire omogeneità di

movimento.

Lateralmente al piano di lavoro due grandi canale garantiscono la raccolta e lo smaltimento delle acque miste al

materiale di lavorazione.

Nei terminali del bancale, collegati al corpo principale con bullonatura, sono alloggiati speciali supporti in acciaio

con cuscinetti orientabili a rulli sui quali sono montati il tamburo motore e quello folle.

Un sistema di slitte consente di traslare il tamburo folle per il giusto tensionamento del nastro.

La motorizzazione è realizzata con un gruppo motoriduttore epicicloidale con velocità regolata da inverter e

rilevata con la massima precisione da un encoder montato sul tamburo folle.

The bench is built in an electro-welded, enbloc steel structure to ensure great sturdiness. The working

surface is rectified with CNC machines to achieve total planarity all over. The special conveyor belt has a

multi-layer structure to achieve even movement.

At the sides of the working bench two large grooves ensure the collection and elimination of the water

containing the polishing residues.

Special steel supports with swinging roller bearings are housed at the ends of the bench, on which the drum

and idle motor are assembled, connected to the main body with bolts.

A system of slides allows for the movement of the idle drum for the correct tensioning of the belt.

An epicycloidal reduction gear unit whose speed is regulated by an inverter and detected with the utmost

accuracy by an encoder assembled on the idle drum.

La trave portamandrini è realizzata in una struttura monoblocco in acciaio elettrosaldato a sezione tubolare rettangolare con piattabande di grande spessore.Nella parte centrale trovano alloggiamento i gruppi mandrino garantendo in tal modo la massima stabilità dell' insieme.Nella parte posteriore sono posizionati i due gruppi motoriduttori completi di trasmissione ed i relativi accessori e gli impianti a bordo macchina: elettrico, pneumatico,lubrificazione e controllo.Un sistema di carter in vetroresina facilmente manovrabili protegge il tutto.La trave può contenere fino a 20 mandrini senza appoggi intermedi, grazie alla rigidezza della struttura tubolare della trave.

Alle due estremità la trave si appoggia tramite un sistema a pattini in acciaio rettificato sulle rulliere anch'esse in acciaio temprato e rettificato scorrevoli in vasche a bagno d' olio. Il tutto è protetto da carter a labirinto in acciaio.Il sistema trave nel suo complesso risulta un assieme molto rigido,compatto e nello stesso tempo relativamente leggero, in modo tale da garantire prestazioni in termini di accelerazioni e velocità ai massimi livelli.

Un concetto semplice ma che richiede uno sforzo di ricerca e progetto, leggete come:La movimentazione della trave porta-mandrini è ottenuta con l'applicazione di due motoriduttori posti alle due estremità della struttura collegati tra di loro sia in asse elettrico che con una barra di acciaio che funge da barra di torsione.Per migliorare la dolcezza di funzionamento i pignoni e le cremagliere hanno dentatura inclinata ed indurita superficialmente per aumentarne la resistenza all' usura. Un inverter di tipo vettoriale aziona i due motori e tramite PLC regola e controlla le rampe di accelerazione e decelerazione e la velocità di traslazione. Una particolarità che è esclusiva da sempre della

nostra macchina ma che pochi conoscono è il fatto

di montare nella rulliera di scorrimento della trave

portamandrini alcuni rulli speciali dotati di una

dentatura che va ad impegnarsi in una cremagliera

nella slitta di appoggio.

In tal modo durante le sempre più veloci inversioni

della trave la rulliera stessa non ha modo di slittare

per inerzia e non va ad urtare contro i fine corsa, ma

resta sempre centrata rispetto alla trave e stabile

A particular device that is peculiar to our machine

and has been used on it since the beginning yet is

relatively unknown is a special gear fitted on the

rollers for the beam movement that is engaged on

a rack located at the bottom of the supports in the

oil bath tubs. In view of the increasingly fast

reversal movement, this solution stops the beam

from slipping by inertia and stops it from knocking

against the limit switches. This means that the

beam supports are always centered and stable in

The spindle body is made of a strong

aluminium alloy, with high resistance and

low specific weight, about a third that of

steel, inside which the chromium steel

sleeve slides to allow for the vertical

movement of the polishing head.

The sleeve supports, on a combination of

roll and spherical bearings, can resist all

strain on the head, the spindle shaft has a

very deeply-grooved profile for the vertical

sliding and perfect rotation of the polishing

head.

The vertical movement is achieved by

means of a couple of pneumatic actuators

powered and controlled by electro-valves

programmed by the PLC.






The spindle group is housed at the centre

of the beam to ensure the maximum

balance and sturdiness of all the spindle

beam units.

THE RIGHT PRESSURE IN ALL POINTS OF THE SLAB

The use of electronic proportional

regulators, instead of manual regulators,

allows for a fine and very quick

adjustment of the working pressure of

each single head directly from the

operating panel which is of the touch-

screen type.

This system makes it possible to create

real working pressure diagrams which

may be different in the different areas of

the slab being processed or according

to the differing hardness of the material

to be processed.

MICROMETRIC CONTROL OF THE VERTICAL POSITION

This device makes it possible to lock the

operating head at a fixed and constant

position in relation to the slab, usually 10-

15 mm above it, in a stable and repetitive

manner. This is achieved with the use of

an oleodynamic device able to rigidly

lock the head in the selected position

under the impulse of a control set in the

working programme. Taking advantage

of the fact that the oil cannot be

compressed, stable, accurate and

repetitive locking can be achieved in a

selected position, which is impossible to

do with normal pneumatic actuators.

diagnostica dei malfunzionamenti e una

The new polishing machine is completely

wired in field bus: this means an efficient

way of diagnosing any mal-functioning as

well as a reduction of cabling and

problems.

Two field bus nets are used: one specifically

for the beam, particularly fast thanks to the

use of modules which communicate

through an optical fibre to manage the

spindle motion electro-valves and the level

control potentiometers, the other

specifically for all the other machine

functions.

La parte superiore dell' albero

mandrino è supportata da un mozzo

compatto completo di cuscinetti

conici e di tenute integrate e

lubrificate a vita, derivato dal settore

automotive , il tutto già

preassemblato in un unica unità che

consente un montaggio veloce e

sicuro e garantisce una affidabilita'

nettamente superiore alle tradizionali

applicazioni di coppie di cuscinetti

singole.

Tutto il nuovo albero mandrino con

relativa cuscinetteria è stato progettato

attorno ad un foro!

E' una miglioria poco visibile ma che

sicuramente sarà molto apprezzata

dall' utilizzatore della macchina. Grazie

al notevole aumento del diametro del

foro di passaggio dell' acqua di lavoro

attraverso l' albero mandrino e la testa

operatrice, che ha consentito di

raddoppiare l' area di passaggio, si ha

una minore possibilità di intasamento

del condotto e la eliminazione del

rigurgito acqua e le conseguenti noie

che ciò comportava.

Questa miglioria ha consentito di

eliminare il sistema di tenuta a

premistoppa sull' albero mandrino a

tutto vantaggio della affidabilità e della

funzionalità.

Per ottenere prestazioni ed affidabilità di

primo livello l' albero mandrino con la

relativa testa levigatrice deve poter

rispondere prontamente ai comandi

elettro- pneumatici che gli provengono

dagli attuatori di azionamento senza

incertezze e tempi morti.

Per garantire tutto questo il cannotto

cromato di diametro 180 mm, di

eccezionale robustezza, scorre all' interno

di una boccola di bronzo intercambiabile

che fa da cuscinetto e da supporto delle

spinte di lavoro anziché direttamente nel

corpo mandrino.

La boccola è lubrificata a grasso in

automatico , per ridurre al minimo gli attriti,

e garantisce durata ed affidabilità nel

tempo.

integrated sealings that are life-

lubricated, from the automotive

industry; all this is pre-assembled in

a single unit which allows for quick

and safe erection and guarantees

much greater reliability than in the

traditional application of single

bearing couples.

The new spindle shaft, with relative

bearings, was as it were designed

around a hole!

This is a not visible improvement, but

one which will surely be greatly

appreciated by the machine users.

Thanks to the significantly increased

diameter of the hole conveying

working water through the spindle

shaft and operating head, the outlet

area is practically doubled and there is

less possibility of clogging the pipeline

and elimination of the water backflow

and consequent problems this

entailed.

This improvement allows for the

elimination of the stuffing system on

the spindle shaft, improving reliability

and functionality.

In order to achieve top level performance

and reliability, the spindle shaft and its

grinding head has to promptly reply to the

electro-pneumatic controls coming from

starting actuators, without delays or idle

times.

In order to achieve this, the chromium

sleeve, which is 180 mm in diameter and

exceptionally sturdy, slides inside an

interchangeable bronze bush which acts

as a bearing and a support to all work

operations instead of acting directly on the

spindle unit.

The bush is automatically grease

lubricated, in order to reduce all friction to

the minimum, a solution which guarantees

long-life and reliability over time.

collegato ad un encoder, coordina la

passaggio dalla rulliera al nastro

trasportatore evitando ogni possibile

The new polishing machine is

and independently of the thickness of

A special rubber roll, connected to an

The polishing head is an important element for the quality and quantity of production.Thanks to a particular patented device to achieve the swinging of the polishing tools, internal wear (due to the cams) and noisy timings for the synchronisation of the sectors, have been eliminated.An efficient automatic system of lubrication programmable by PLC allows for the exact dosage of lubricant even in the worst working conditions and preserves the internal components of the head. A special and exclusive anti-rotation system, and at the same time of protection, made out of aluminium and chromium steel fusion, guarantees the cleaning of the etching between the head and spindle and chromium sleeve.

The PLC continuously monitors the position of each single head and is able to prevent any undesirable contacts with the belt conveyor.

in bus di campo: ciò significa una efficace

diagnostica dei malfunzionamenti e una

riduzione dei cablaggi e delle

Si utilizzano due reti di bus di campo: una

dedicata alla trave particolarmente veloce

grazie all' utilizzo di moduli che

comunicano tramite fibra ottica per gestire

le elettrovalvole del movimento mandrini ed

The new polishing machine is completely

wired in field bus: this means an efficient

way of diagnosing any mal-functioning as

well as a reduction of cabling and

problems.

Two field bus nets are used: one specifically

for the beam, particularly fast thanks to the

use of modules which communicate

through an optical fibre to manage the

spindle motion electro-valves and the level

control potentiometers, the other

specifically for all the other machine

functions.

La parte superiore dell' albero

mandrino è supportata da un mozzo

compatto completo di cuscinetti

conici e di tenute integrate e

lubrificate a vita, derivato dal settore

automotive , il tutto già

preassemblato in un unica unità che

consente un montaggio veloce e

sicuro e garantisce una affidabilita'

nettamente superiore alle tradizionali

applicazioni di coppie di cuscinetti

singole.

Tutto il nuovo albero mandrino con

relativa cuscinetteria è stato progettato

attorno ad un foro!

E' una miglioria poco visibile ma che

sicuramente sarà molto apprezzata

dall' utilizzatore della macchina. Grazie

al notevole aumento del diametro del

foro di passaggio dell' acqua di lavoro

attraverso l' albero mandrino e la testa

operatrice, che ha consentito di

raddoppiare l' area di passaggio, si ha

una minore possibilità di intasamento

del condotto e la eliminazione del

rigurgito acqua e le conseguenti noie

che ciò comportava.

Questa miglioria ha consentito di

eliminare il sistema di tenuta a

premistoppa sull' albero mandrino a

tutto vantaggio della affidabilità e della

funzionalità.

Per ottenere prestazioni ed affidabilità di

primo livello l' albero mandrino con la

relativa testa levigatrice deve poter

rispondere prontamente ai comandi

elettro- pneumatici che gli provengono

dagli attuatori di azionamento senza

incertezze e tempi morti.

Per garantire tutto questo il cannotto

cromato di diametro 180 mm, di

eccezionale robustezza, scorre all' interno

di una boccola di bronzo intercambiabile

che fa da cuscinetto e da supporto delle

spinte di lavoro anziché direttamente nel

corpo mandrino.

La boccola è lubrificata a grasso in

automatico , per ridurre al minimo gli attriti,

e garantisce durata ed affidabilità nel

tempo.

La trave portamandrini è realizzata in una struttura monoblocco in acciaio elettrosaldato a sezione tubolare rettangolare con piattabande di grande spessore. Nella parte centrale trovano alloggiamento i gruppi mandrino realizzati in lega di alluminio, garantendo in tal modo la massima stabilità dell' insieme grazie alla leggerezza. Nella parte posteriore sono posizionati i due gruppi motoriduttori completi di trasmissione ed i relativi accessori e gli impianti a bordo macchina: elettrico, pneumatico, lubrificazione e controllo. Un sistema di carter in vetroresina facilmente rimovibili protegge il tutto.La grande leggerezza dei corpi mandrino permette di avere in una singola macchina fino a 22 mandrini senza avere appoggi intermedi.Il sistema trave nel suo complesso risulta quindi un assieme molto rigido, compatto e nello stesso tempo leggero, in modo da garantire una dinamica in termini di accelerazioni e velocità mai raggiunte prima d'ora.

The spindle-holding beam forms a single unit structure built in electro-welded steel with a tubular-rectangular section made with very thick steel plates. The spindle units, made in aluminium alloy, are located at the centre of the beam to make it light yet at the same time highly stable.The two motor-reducers are located in the rear part of the beam complete with their transmission units and all on board controls: electric, pneumatic, lubrication. A system of protection guards made in fiber-glass that are easily removable cover and protect the whole system. Thanks to the lightness of the spindle units it is possible to build a machine with up to 22 spindles without intermediate supports. The whole beam system is both a compact, rigid unit and one that is lightweight that reaches such dynamic acceleration and speed that have never been achieved before.

The bench is built in an electro-welded, enbloc steel structure to ensure great sturdiness. The working

surface is rectified with CNC machines to achieve total planarity all over. The special conveyor belt has a

multi-layer structure to achieve even movement.

At the sides of the working bench two large grooves ensure the collection and elimination of the water

containing the polishing residues.

Special steel supports with swinging roller bearings are housed at the ends of the bench, on which the drum

and idle motor are assembled, connected to the main body with bolts.

A system of slides allows for the movement of the idle drum for the correct tensioning of the belt.

An epicycloidal reduction gear unit whose speed is regulated by an inverter and detected with the utmost

accuracy by an encoder assembled on the idle drum.

Il tutto è protetto da carter a labirinto in acciaio.Il sistema trave nel suo complesso risulta un assieme molto rigido,compatto e nello stesso tempo relativamente leggero, in modo tale da garantire prestazioni in termini di accelerazioni e velocità ai massimi livelli.

APPROFONDITISTUDI PROGETTUALI

La lucidatrice PGM è stata completamente progettata

e disegnata con uno dei più avanzati sistemi CAD 3D

presenti sul mercato.

Tutti i componenti importanti strutturalmente sono

stati progettati e verificati sia in termini di resistenza

alle sollecitazioni prodotte in fase di lavoro che alle

deformazioni subite tramite l' utilizzo di un sofisticato

programma FEM.

Con l' utilizzo di tali sistemi di supporto alla

progettazione si sono raggiunti obbiettivi impensabili

con i vecchi metodi sia in termini di ottimizzazione

del materiale ai fini della rigidezza sia in termini di

prestazioni finali della macchina.

Affidabilità costante nel tempoConstant reliability over time

Tutte le superfici dei manufatti, strutture saldate o fusioni,

vengono preparate mediante ciclo di sabbiatura a mezzo

di abrasivo siliceo secondo la specifica SSPC-SP10.

Dopo la sabbiatura le superfici sono immediatamente

spolverate e verniciate con due mani di primer epossidico.

Dopo il ciclo di lavorazione alle macchine utensili si

procede con un lavaggio a pressione con sapone

sgrassante, per eliminare ogni traccia di olio emulsionato, i

pezzi sono poi asciugati.

Si procede quindi al trattamento finale costituito da due

mani di vernice epossidica bi-componente

IN-DEPTH DESIGN RESEARCH

The PGM polishing machine was designed in its

entirety with the aid of one of the most advanced

CAD 3D systems on the market.

All the important and structural components were

designed and controlled both in terms of their

resistance to stress during the working phase and to

the deformations that occur with the use of a

sophisticated FEM program

Thanks to the use of these systems to aid design, we

have achieved objectives that were unimaginable

with the old methods, both in terms of optimising the

sturdiness of the materials and the final performance

of the machine.

The surfaces of all manufactured components, welded structures

or castings are prepared with a sand-blasting cycle using siliceous

abrasive according to SSPC-SP10 specifications.

After the sand-blasting, the surfaces are immediately sprinkled and

painted with two coats of epoxy primer.

After the working cycle with NC machines, all parts and

components are washed at high pressure with a degreasing soap

to eliminate all traces of oil and are then dried. The next stage is

the final treatment with two coats of bi-component epoxy paint, the

first of which is very thick, and the second, to finish, gives the

desired colour. This procedure is ideal for the application of epoxy

paints in thick coats without the use of solvents to achieve thick

layers with no porosity.

HIGH STANDARDS OF SURFACE TREATMENT

The spindle body is made of strong high

resistance cast iron, inside which the

chromium steel sleeve slides to ensure the

vertical movement of the polishing head.

The chromium sleeve housing the spindle

shaft slides vertically in a bronze bush and

not in the cast iron body, which heightens the

smooth functioning and precision of the

head.

The working thrust is supported by a pre-

assembled compact unit composed of two

conical bearings, from the automotive sector,

complete with etchings which is life-

lubricated. This eliminates all problems of

maintenance and reliability.

The vertical movement is achieved by means

of a couple of pneumatic actuators powered

and controlled by electro-valves programmed

by the PLC.






The spindle group is housed at the centre of

the beam to ensure the maximum balance

and sturdiness of all the spindle beam units.
