DESCRIPTION
Or the creative reprocessing of anatomical images. The starting point is the invention or the very model copy of close ups or details of human skeletons, performed with mixed techniques (Indian ink, pen, acrylic ink, pencils), sometimes overlapped with medical x-rays. The original image is then scanned and graphically worked out with the aid of 2D software, and brought to a higher level of abstraction, without any aesthetic worthiness. Bone splinters are enriched with signs and graphics, bright contrasts, intense chromatic stains – expression of aggressivness and vivacity. The choice of an anatomical subject must not be deceiving: this is not a work about “the body” in all its various issues, but a constant research on the different ways the image can be transformed by the artistic élan.
