Cultural Product, Perspective and Practice: 中國成語和四字格 Chinese Idioms and Four-word Expressions

Chinese idioms which are often derived from stories passed on from generation to generation along with four-word expressions are most often four characters long. However, four simple characters can convey a lot of meaning, usually condensing what would normally take many more words to describe. Chinese people really enjoy adding idioms to their everyday speech to help bring across their points.
