Malaria is a parasitic diseasetransmitted by the bite of

infectedmosquitoes. Once the first

symptomsappear, malaria can kill very

rapidlyand often does.

マラリアは寄生虫性の病気で寄生虫に感染した蚊によって伝染する。

一度症状が現れると感染者は非常に早く死にやすく

実際によく死にいたる。

300-500 million cases of malaria cause up to

3 MILLIONDEATHS EVERY YEAR, most of them children under the age of 5.

ROLLBACK MALARIA’s strategy includesdistribution ofinsecticide-treatedmosquito nets (ITNs)to prevent mosquitoes from infecting people with malaria.

ロールバック・マラリアの戦略：殺虫剤処理済みの蚊帳（ ITN)を配布して、蚊によって人々がマラリアに感染するのを防ぐ。

ITNs can reduce malaria mortality by more than50%!!

ITNs can save up to 1.5 million lives!

ITN仕様の蚊帳によってマラリアによる死亡率を50パーセント以上削減できる。

ITN によって 150 万人もの命を救える！

ROLLBACK MALARIAgains strength through its effective partnerships with

the InternationalFederation of the Red Cross and the United Nations.

Y’s Men International （ YMI) and the

International Federation of the Red Cross

and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)

have already begun their

coordinated efforts.国際ワイズメンズクラブ（ YMI) と国際赤十字・赤新月社連盟（ IFRC) 　の連携・協力関係はすでに始まっている。

In 2008, YMI and the IFRC distributed

25,000 nets in Sierra Leone.

2008 年、 YMI と IFRC はシエラレオネで 25,000 張りの蚊帳を配布した。

In 2010-2015,the IFRC will continue as our partner to distribute nets funded by YMI in Sierra Leone, Kenya, Liberia and India.

1. Determine the number of long-lasting mosquito net packages to purchase for $8 each; create your goal based on that amount.1 ．蚊帳を単価 8 ドルでいく張り購入するか

　　決定しよう。

2 ．　 Launch your fund-raising campaign each year 　　　　 on World Malaria Day, April 25.

2 ．世界マラリアデー（ 4 月 25 日）に　　募金キャンペーンを立ち上げよう。

3. Host community events to create awareness of the campaign.

3. マラリア問題を啓発するために　　コミュニティ・イベントを企画しよう。

4 ． Campaign ends March 15 of each year through 2015 (all contributions due on this date)

4 ． 2015 年まで、毎年募金キャンペーンは 3 月 15 日が　締め切りです。（この日までに送金する）
