HIGH QUALITY ASSURANCE BY STATE-OF-THE-ART INSPECTION
Sensum SPINE automatically inspects the entire
surface of tablets and capsules at the speed
of up to 360.000 products/ hour. The products
are held in reproducible position by a vacuum
system, illuminated by special controllable LED
illumination units and inspected by six color
cameras. The machine is controlled via a user-
friendly graphical interface, providing simple
operation and training for the inspection of
new products. The active sorting system with
sorting verification for both good and defective
products ensures fail-safe and reliable operation.
Ergonomic design with a small number of for-
mat parts simplifies changeover, cleaning and
maintenance.

MAIN ADVANTAGES Inspection of tablets & capsulesThe machine can inspect tablets and capsules of various sizes, shapes and color after minimal change of format parts and simple touch-screen based user interaction to reload stored inspection settings.
High speed of up to 360.000 products/hourHigh inspection speeds are achieved by simultaneous inspection of products in eight parallel lines, providing reliable positioning, transporting and sorting as well as outstanding image acquisition and inspection.
Colour cameras and LED illuminationSix high resolution color cameras and special controllable LED illumination units enable high quality color inspection of the entire surface in a controlled and dust-free environment.
Friendly graphical user interfaceTouch-screen based, intuitive, task-specific and user- dedicated graphical interface requires no programming or other special tuning skills to effectively monitor, operate and train the inspection process.
Simple training for inspection of new productsVisual defect-detection feedback, statistical distributions of all inspected features and sorting statistics make the machine highly adaptable to new products and/or inspection requirements.
Active sorting of good & defective productsReliable sorting of the inspected products, a key to fail-safe operation, is achieved by active air pressure based sorting of both good and defective products.
Verification of sorting of good & defective productsLight based sorting verification of each inspected product guarantees fail-safe operation.
Small number of format partsJust a few format parts are needed to mechanically adapt the machine to inspect tablets or capsules of various size and shape.
Insensitive to variations of products dimensionsMechanical manipulation is insensitive to dimensional variations, such as variations in thickness or length, providing continuous automatic inspection of highly variable products.
Simple cleaning and maintenanceErgonomic and tool-free design with easily accessibleformat parts facilitates manipulation, cleaning and maintenance.
Fast changeover to new productsSimple cleaning, small number of format parts, ergonomic tool-free design, stored inspection settings and user-friendly graphical interface accelerate changeover to new products.
Complete statistical batch reportsRelevant inspection data, such as inspection parameters, tolerances, histograms, sorting statistics, etc., can be configured and stored in electronic form and/or printed on a network printer.
Compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 11Electronic records, controls for open systems, electronic signature manifestation and linking, controls for identification codes and passwords, etc., comply with FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
Standard state-of-the-art equipmentThe equipment of the well-established manufactures/ suppliers, such as Siemens, Festo, HP, etc., guarantees a long-term operation as well as easy, fast and reliable maintenance.
Extended validation and training support Trained specialists provide additional on-site and/or on-line extended support in validation, troubleshooting and training.
