SHOPPING AND EATING IN THE JEWELLERY QUARTER

Many people come to the Jewellery Quarter just to buy jewellery. With around 100 jewelleryshops to browse among, this could take some time, unless you know just what you want.The shops in the Jewellery Quarter offer a traditional selection of favourite classics in various

price ranges chains, bracelets, ear-rings, watches and silver gifts.

If you want something really different, there are a few studios offering more individualdesigns, and there are also craftspeople in the Quarter happy to design and make something

just for you. If you want something repaired, you will be able to get it done here.Shopping and walking are enough to giveanyone an appetite. In St. Pauls Squareseveral of the 18th century houses have beenturned into bars and restaurants where youcan settle for a meal. Cheap and cheerfulsandwich bars and cafes dotted all over the

place.

On-street parking in the Jewellery Quarter isscarce. Because many of the roads are verynarrow parking is often allowed only on oneside. They were built way before the motorcar, when jewellers lived on the spot or cameto work by horse from Handsworth. There is aconvenient multi-storey car park in VyseStreet, opposite the cemetery.
