Tasks of the Customs Administration regarding NAP implementation
• Provide institutional mechanisms to carry out the NAP for the implementation of the UN Resolution 1325 in the Republic of Serbia
• Create conditions for an effective implementation of the gender equality policy in the security sector, through a greater representation of women and their impact on issues regarding the status of women, peace and security
• Increase the participation of women at decision making levels in the defense and security field
• Ensure a satisfactory level of effective protection of women and girls from all types of discrimination, violation of women’s rights and gender-based violence
• Educate women and men employed in the security sector on the significance of a more substantial participation of women in resolving issues dealing with peace, gender equality and security
• Provide media support for the implementation of NAP goals and activities

Representation of women in CAS (information dated January 12, 2012)
• Out of 2456 permanent employees in the Customs Administration, 1024 are female, i.e. 41,7%
• Out of 115 permanent employees in the Enforcement Division, 32 are female, i.e. 27,8%
• There are 2 women working at the top management level (Director General and Assistant Directors) (25% of the total number of top level managers)
• There are 17 women working at the
middle management level (Head of Customs Office, Head of Department, Head of Bureau) (42,5% of the total number of middle level managers)
• There are 86 women working at the low management level (Head of CP, Manager of CU, Head of Section, Group Manager, Manager of Customs Point) (40% of the total number of low level managers)

The program is used for:
•Financing the necessary equipment for improving export control
•Organizing training courses for handling the procured equipment
•Organizing seminars and training courses for customs officers(25 various training programs have been organized so far)
Through the American Embassy in Belgrade, more than $3 million worth of equipment and training courses have been donated to the Serbian Customs Administration
