BUSINESS ISSUE

Like supply-side resources, demand-side resources must be managed through efficient execution ofbusiness processes such as resource and program enrollment, offer submission, energy scheduling,dispatch, notification, measurement & verification, and dispute resolution.

To date, most utilities have used manual processes and fragmented spreadsheets to manage these

business processes. Faced with an increasing number of demand resources, rising volume of DRtransactions, and frequent changes in DR tariffs, utilities now need a more functional and integrated DRmanagement platform that can store the DR information, automate the DR processes, and can readilydeal with the changing DR tariffs and business rules.
