LIME POST-TREATMENT
Hydrated Lime is mixed with dewatered sludge (generally from a decanter
centrifuge) in a PLUGMILL, PADDLE MIXER or SCREW CONVEYOR to
rise the pH of the mixture.
Advantages:
1) Dry Lime can be used: no additional water is added to form milky lime
2) No special requirements for dewatering
3) No scaling problems for dewatering equipment
4) Mixture with crumbly texture
