族特征，辽阔的领土，以及独特的文化，让

外国游客的俄罗斯之旅更加丰富有趣，无论

是有浓厚人文底蕴的美丽都市，还是绮丽壮

美的自然风光，以及无穷无尽的健康养生之

所，应有尽有。

风情万种的城市

俄罗斯有许多有趣的城市，不过大多数游客

第一次都会从莫斯科或圣彼得堡展开旅程。

虽然莫斯科是俄罗斯首都，并且是历史

最悠久的城市之一，许多外国游客却喜欢从

圣彼得堡开始他们的俄罗斯之旅。圣彼得堡

是俄罗斯名副其实的文化之都，俄罗斯人则

称之为“北方之都”，城中遍布着博物馆、

剧院、宫殿、河道与公园。市政府不遗余力

地保护、修整、重建遗留的历史建筑。夏季

白夜是游览圣彼得堡的最佳时节，日光一直

照射至午夜，无需开灯就可以一口气读完整

本书。冬宫、国家博物馆、马林斯基剧院、

圣依萨克教堂，都是必去的景点。圣彼得堡

的郊区也值得花费一两天的时间游玩，以巴

黎凡尔赛宫为蓝本整建，曾为彼得大帝避暑

行宫的夏宫和夏宫花园，就是那里的著名景

点，美丽不言而喻。

如果说圣彼得堡充满欧洲风情，那莫

斯科就是实打实的俄式城市。莫斯科建城于

1147年，最初主要发展商业贸易，其商业风

采一直持续到今天，现已成为发达的政治、

金融、教育和科研中心。

有镀金圆顶的俄式东正教教堂与修道

院，融合了俄式、欧式，以及苏维埃时期的

社会现实主义建筑风格，构成了莫斯科的

城市天际线。热情、活力四射、快节奏的莫

斯科，与圣彼得堡一样，城中遍布着美丽街

道、风格建筑、桥梁和公园，是座适合散步

的城市。带有超现实色彩的莫斯科标志性建

筑红场和克林姆林宫是必去景点，特别是红

场的圣巴素大教堂——俄罗斯最古老的教堂

之一，是沙俄时期举行宗教仪式的场所。除

了古姆百货及其长长的游廊商场，汇集了众

多时装店的特韦尔斯卡娅大街，时髦的咖啡

从中国或北亚乘机出发前往西

欧，要花数个小时飞跃广阔的

西伯利亚。西伯利亚几乎占据

了俄罗斯半数土地，乌拉尔山脉将俄罗斯分

成欧亚两部分，西伯利亚及其针叶林地带已

经约定俗成的成为俄罗斯的象征，不仅是因

为它令人窒息的美景，还有它的神秘广阔，

以及丰富的自然资源。

北方巨邻

俄罗斯，世界上面积最大的国家，或许将之

视为大陆更加合适。跨越欧亚两个大洲，绵

延的海岸线从北冰洋一直伸展到北太平洋，

还包括了内陆海黑海和里海，总面积达1700

万平方公里，共有11个时区，与18个国家接

壤，与中国的共同边界长达4300多公里，是

全世界最长的一条共同边界线。俄罗斯幅员

辽阔，横跨了多个气候带，南起黑海地区的

亚热带气候，北至雅库特与楚克奇的极地气

候。

俄罗斯汇聚了180多个不同民族的居民，

这也是为什么有时很难定义俄罗斯本土特色

剧院、Christ The Savor大教堂、阿尔巴特步行

街以外，俄罗斯还有许许多多值得一去的地

方。每年1月7日俄罗斯东正教圣诞节时，城

中白雪皑皑，到处张灯结彩，各种装饰美轮

美奂，珍馐佳肴令人垂涎欲滴，全城上下共

同欢庆这一全国性的节日盛典，此时正是体

验俄罗斯冬天的最佳时节。

俄罗斯还有许多其他值得游览的城市，

不过由于俄罗斯面积广阔、景点众多，去之

前最好计划好行程安排。俄罗斯金环是一条

很受游客欢迎的探访俄罗斯建筑宝库的环形

旅游路线，极具历史和文化价值，包括六座

建于12至17世纪的古城。远东的海参崴、北

冰洋的摩尔曼斯克、黑海的敖德萨、波罗的

海沿岸的加里宁格勒、伏尔加河边的古城、

西伯利亚地区的叶卡特琳堡、伊尔库次克、

与赤塔，都是不枉此行的好地方。

生态旅游与俄罗斯水疗

被广袤森林覆盖的俄罗斯，尚有大片真正的未

经触及的原始旷野，那里无疑是体验生态旅游

的首选之地，如位于远东有大量活火山的勘察

加半岛，地处黑海既可在温水中游泳又可在雪

山滑雪的度假胜地索契，拥有数种世界上最大

储量矿藏的乌拉尔山脉，可以看到极光的北极

海岸，以及西伯利亚的贝加尔湖等。

除了生态旅游，俄罗斯现正努力复兴传

统自然疗法与养生法。在这片无垠沃土上，

分布着大量稀有矿泉、矿物泥及矿物粘土。

仅仅高加索矿泉群的一处度假区中，就分布

着300多处各种疗愈性泉水。

远东和勘察加半岛是有名的温泉之乡，

与日本温泉有异曲同工之妙。此外，那里还

盛产有治疗功效的天然原料，如五味子浆

果、人参、山金车和松子。

回归本土的传统治愈疗法，并将其发展

成真正的“俄罗斯水疗”，是俄罗斯近年来

的新流行。其理念是：高水平的俄罗斯医学

养生专家通过其丰富的学识与娴熟的技巧，

将传统的俄罗斯桑拿、按摩技法、草药、草

皮、蜂蜜裹身法、草药疗法、芳香疗法等发

挥到极至。

传统俄罗斯疗法中有很多有趣的疗法，

比如将加热过的荞麦粒与松子油混合使用的

按摩疗法。这种芳香的荞麦敷法不仅可以排

出毒素、清洁肌肤，还可以改善血液循环，

缓解肌肉疼痛，放松身心。

盐疗或称盐室，也属俄罗斯治愈疗法，

常与桑拿配合使用。房内墙壁由石盐晶砖堆

成，进入后呼吸新鲜盐味空气10至15分钟。

对呼吸道疾病、过敏症患者大有益处，并且

真能起到深度清洁、焕发青春光彩的作用。

将温热草药涂抹于整个身体，也是传统

的治愈疗法。将鼠尾草、西洋蓍草、苦艾、

牛蒡、荨麻混合使用，可排毒、滋润及软化

肌肤，还可放松精神、改善情绪，起到芳香

疗法的作用。

亚麻布裹身是一种古老的保持肌肤年

轻、光泽、紧致的俄罗斯秘术。方法是用在

温润的山羊奶与西伯利亚药草浸液中浸泡过

的100%纯亚麻布裹住身体，之后再用暖热毛

毯二次包裹。另一用于裹肤的特殊配方是沼

泽林中的泥炭或草泥，有排毒功效。大量的

营养元素以及矿物泥，可滋养肌肤、促进血

液循环、紧致肌肉、加强全身免疫力。

古法养生与新健康趋势

“Zdravstvuite!”是俄罗斯人最常用的问候

语，字面意思就是“祝您健康！”，亲近自

然的传统生活方式已根植于俄罗斯人的日常

生活中。他们与自然和谐相处，顺应季节性

变化规律，珍惜来自于森林、泉水以及土地

的天赐之礼。斯拉夫人对健康的态度平和而

冷隽，他们教导孩子身心的平衡始自健康的

体魄。俄罗斯人认为病由心生，之后才会表

现在身体上。

俄罗斯人在人生中的重大时刻，如婚

礼、降生、宗教节日，都不忘用树枝或草药

进行疗愈按摩，清洁沐浴。吉时的选择对于

这项清洁仪式来说非常重要，他们认为有的

时辰宜预防疾病，有的时辰宜美容驻颜，有

的时辰则宜于婴儿健康强健。

寒冷如俄罗斯，增强免疫系统以抵御严

寒无疑是十分重要的。俄罗斯人通常会定期

赤脚走在挂着晨露的草地上，之后进行高温

桑拿浴，再用采集来的雪揉搓身体，用这种

冷热交替刺激的方式进行耐寒锻炼。

俄罗斯的传统养生法讲究天人相应，日

出而作，日落而息，夏季多劳作，冬季多休

养。要保持身体健康，还要饮、食、呼吸，

皆“干净”，如喝清水，吃当天采摘的新鲜

蔬菜，多亲近自然等。说到喝，俄罗斯人有

一套自己的排毒保健饮法，如Kvas，这是一

种用黑麦、大麦、面包酿成的啤酒，也常以

水果或香草调味，可清肾解毒，提升能量。

十月革命之后的苏维埃时期，“全民健

身”是新政府下达的最高指示，大量的运动

项目、培训、俱乐部应运而生，遍布全国。

俄罗斯首批度假疗养地就是在那时建成，主

要集中在克里米亚、黑海、波罗的海，以及

高加索矿泉和矿泥丰富的地区。

近年俄罗斯养生业正在迅猛发展，俄

罗斯人日益意识到疾病预防和健康管理的重

要性，以避免救治不及。将世界上多种养生

理念与传统俄罗斯养生法结合是目前俄罗斯

的养生热潮，如将东方瑜伽、冥想、呼吸、

西方的高新设备与俄罗斯传统的专业运动按

在健康养生业中，有三个项目正在俄罗

One of kind, Russia is more of a

continent than a country. This huge

Eurasian nation stretches from the

Arctic Ocean to Pacific shores, from Black to

Baltic Seas, occupying over 17 million square

kilometers. With eleven time zones, Russia

has borders with 18 countries, the longest of

which is shared with China. Due to its sheer

size, Russia has various climate zones – start-

ing from subtropical in the Black Sea region,

to the Arctic climate of Yakutia and Chukotka.

Anybody who has flown from China or

North Asia to Western Europe will have expe-

rienced long hours over Siberia. Siberia is an

enormous region occupying almost half of

Russia. The Ural Mountains divide Russia into

its European and Asian parts. Siberia and its

Taiga (deep forest) is an unofficial symbol of

Russia, stunning not only in its beauty, but

also in its mystery, might, depth and natural

resources.

There are over 180 nationalities living in

Russia, and that is why it is sometimes dif-

ficult to identify a distinctly Russian look.

Because of its diversity, size and unique cul-

ture, Russia offers interesting choices for for-

eign tourists – beautiful cities with cultural and

historic sites, great nature spots and more

and more choices for health and wellness.

Russian CitiesThere are so many interesting Russian cities,

however, most visitors to Russia start with

Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Although Moscow is the capital and one

of the oldest cities in Russia, many foreign

guests prefer to start their acquaintance with

this country at St. Petersburg. This city is truly

a cultural capital of Russia, or as it is called in

Russia, “Northern Capital”. It is a city of muse-

ums, theaters, palaces, canals and parks.

The city government has done great work in

preserving, renovating and rebuilding histori-

cal sites. The best time to visit St. Petersburg

is during summer, as the daylight lasts well

into the night; one can read a book without

switching the lights on! Winter Palace, Hermit-

age, Mariinsky Theatre, Saint Isaac Cathedral

– these are just a few of the city’s well-known

must-see sites. St. Petersburg’s suburbs also

deserve a visit. These were historically the

grounds of the Summer Palaces and parks

built especially for Russian Tsars and nobility

and their beauty is breathtaking.

If St. Petersburg is a European-style city,

Moscow is truly a Russian city. Founded in

1147, Moscow was initially a merchant city,

and its commercial spirit is strong today. Cur-

rently the city is a concentration of politics,

finance, education, science and research

power and authority.

The city skyline is full of Russian Orthodox

Churches and Monasteries with their golden

domes, and the architecture is a mix of Rus-

sian, European and the “socialist realism”

of the Soviet era. The character of this city is

extremely dynamic, intense and fast-paced.

Like St. Petersburg, Moscow is also a “walk-

ing city” with many beautiful streets, buildings,

bridges and parks. Red Square and the Krem-

lin are must-see sites, as their beauty is sym-

bolic and a bit surreal. Visitors to Red Square

should also visit St. Basil’s Cathedral, one of

the oldest churches and once used for the

religious ceremonies of Russian Tsars. There is

the GUM Department Store with its gorgeous

arcades, central Tverskaya Street with numer-

ous boutiques, trendy cafes and restaurants,

Boshoi Theatre (the home of Russian Ballet),

Cathedral of Christ The Savor, Arbat Pedes-

trian Street and many more places to experi-

ence. During Russian Orthodox Christmas,

on January 7, the city is full of snow, lights,

decorations and truly national celebration of

festivities and food – perhaps the best time to

experience a “Russian Winter”.

There are many other cities to see in Rus-

sia, but it is necessary to plan a longer trip to

see things beyond Moscow and St. Petersburg

due to Russia’s size and number of destina-

tions. The Golden Ring route is a magical one

as it has several old, well-preserved Russian

cities full of historical architecture from the 12th

to 17th centuries. Vladivostok in the Far East,

Murmansk on the Arctic Ocean, Odessa on

the Black Sea, Kaliningrad on the Baltic coast,

along with old cities in central Russia along the

Volga River, and the Siberian cities of Ekater-

inburg, Irkutsk and Chita are just a few of the

other Russian cities worth visiting.

Ecotourism & Russian SpaRussia would not be the country it is without

its magnificent wilderness. There are truly

wild, untouched and unique places for ecot-

ourism that are well worth experiencing: in the

Far East there is Kamchatka Peninsula with

its active volcanoes, in the Black Sea resort

region of Sochi one can swim in the warm sea

water and ski in snowy mountains, there are

the Ural Mountains with some of the world’s

richest reserves of minerals, the Arctic coast

with polar lights, and Lake Baikal in Siberia.

Beyond ecotourism, Russia is currently

reviving its traditions of natural healing and

wellness. Across the enormous Russian ter-

ritory there can be found numerous types of

rare mineral spring waters, mineral muds and

clays. Within the resort region of Caucasus

Mineral Waters there are over 300 sources of

varied healing water springs.

In the Far East and Kamchatka there are

numerous hot springs similar to the ones in

Japan. The region is also full of healing natural

ingredients – schizandra berries, ginseng,

arnica, pine nuts.

The last few years have seen a tendency

to bring back the country’s healing traditions

and to develop a truly “Russian Spa”. The

idea is to combine the old slavic traditions of

Russian Sauna, massage techniques, herbal,

turf and honey body wrapping, herbal heal-

ing, aromatherapy with pine and cedar resin

(among others), with the knowledge and skills

of highly qualified Russian medical and well-

ness professionals.

Another Russian healing technique is

Halotherapy, or Salt Rooms, which are usually

attached to Saunas. The walls of such rooms

are covered with bricks of rock salt crystals

and visitors inhale fresh salty air for 10-15

minutes. The procedure is extremely benefi-

cial for all kinds of respiratory conditions and

allergies, and it is truly rejuvenating, cleansing

and energizing.

The application of warm herbs to the

entire body is another old healing method.

The combination of sage, yarrow, wormwood,

burdock and nettles serves to detox, tone and

soften skin, and also has aromatherapy-like

effects on the mind.

The old Russian recipe of keeping skin

young, toned and cellulite-free is linen wrap-

ping. The body is wrapped in 100 percent

pure linen cloth soaked in infusion of warm

goat’s milk and Siberian herbs and then

double-wrapped in a warm blanket. Another

special ingredient for body wrapping and

detox is peat or turf mud, which is the prod-

uct of swamp forests. With high amounts of

nutrients and minerals, peat nourishes skin,

improves blood circulation and muscle tone

and enhances overall immunity.

Health Traditions and Current Wellness Tendencies in RussiaWhen you meet a person in Russia, the greet-

ing is “Zdravstvuite!”, which literally means

“Wishing you health!” Russian people’s life-

style has always been deeply rooted in pagan

religion and traditions, closely connected to

nature. One of the aspects of this faith was to

live in harmony with nature’s cycles, seasons

and the natural gifts of forests, spring waters

and the earth. Slavic people always had a bal-

anced and thoughtful attitude towards health,

teaching their children that a healthy body is

a balance of physical and spiritual beginnings.

In Russia illness was considered to start with

the soul, and then go into the body.

Many important events in people’s lives,

such as weddings, births and religious holi-

days, were accompanied by cleansing rituals

in Russian Banya (Saunas), using trees and

herbal branches for healing massage. Choos-

ing the right day and time for such a ritual was

very important, as some were beneficial for

protecting from or helping with illness, some

were for enhancing women’s beauty, and

some for making babies strong and healthy.

In a cold country like Russia, having a

strong immune system to withstand cold tem-

peratures has always been very important. To

strengthen one’s body it was customary to

walk regularly barefoot in cold morning-dew

grass and experience the alternating tem-

peratures of a steamy Sauna and cold snow

rubbed into the body.

Russian health traditions emphasized living

in harmony with nature’s cycles – getting up

at dawn, going to bed after sunset, working

hard in summer and slowing down in winter.

To have a healthy body one had to drink

“clean” (only clear drinks, such as water), eat

“clean” (fresh food prepared or gathered that

day), and breathe “clean” (spend as much

time in nature as possible). Russians had the

whole array of extremely healthy detoxifying

drinks, such as kvas fermented beverage

made of rye bread. There is also a beetroot

kvas for cleansing kidneys and an oatmeal

kvas to enhance energy levels.

In Soviet times, right after the revolution, the

“mass health” of people became a paramount

task for the new Soviet Government. There

were numerous “mass sports” activities, edu-

cation and clubs enforced all over the Soviet

Union. During that time some of Russia’s first

resort destination facilities were established for

local populations in Crimea and the Black Sea,

Baltic Sea and Caucasus regions. These rec-

reation sanatoriums were built around mineral

spring waters and mineral mud sources.

Currently in Russia the wellness industry is

growing at a rapid pace as people look more

at the prevention of illnesses and conditions,

rather than treating them when it is too late.

There is a tendency in Russia to combine sev-

eral types of the world’s wellness concepts

with traditional Russian ideas of well-being

– the East’s Yoga, meditation and breathing,

and Western high-tech equipment, combined

with Russian traditions of professional sports

massage, sauna and herbs, destination spas

with healing mineral springs and mud wrap

treatments, etc.

Within the wellness industry there are three

distinct sectors that are booming in Russian

cities – spas, Yoga studios and wellness/fit-

ness centers.

Russians do have choices, particularly in

the big cities, for spas, which usually combine

facial and body treatments, solarium and

pedicure/manicure. Also there is the revived

sector of destination spas, which offer some

very unique local medical and healing pro-

cedures. Most of the destination spas are

located in Crimea, the Black Sea, Baltic Sea

and Far East regions and the Caucasus. Rus-

sian customers also love spa tours abroad,

particularly to Switzerland, Italy, North Africa,

Asia and South Asia – including the Maldives,

India, and Sri Lanka.

Wellness centers are usually combined

with fitness centers and offer slimming pro-

grams, Yoga, Pilates, shaping, aerobics and

Callanetics.

Organic products, or “ecologically-clean

products” as they are called in Russia, has

been a growing sector in the past few years.

After the years of trying “imported” foreign

products during the 1990s, Russians are look-

ing for locally produced top-quality products

from dairy to fruits, vegetables and grains.

There is a lot of interest in natural medicine,

natural products and natural skincare.

正气存内 邪不可干

早在五千年前，中医就提出了免

疫力是抵御外来疾病的第一要

务，黄帝内经记载“正气存

内，邪不可干”。正气，系指人体的功能活

动和抗病能力；邪气则为一切致病因素的总

称。

中医学认为，疾病的发生、传变及预

后，主要取决于正气的盛衰。所谓正气失

调，一是指正气的不足，包括机体功能衰弱

以及维持这种功能所需的物质亏虚，概括为

一个“虚”字。二是指正气的壅滞与逆乱。

包括各种致病因素阻滞人体气机，导致功能

障碍，概括为一个“郁”字。而气血是人体

生命活动的基本物质，无论气血的虚衰与郁

滞，都会影响到人的功能状态。这亦即明代

著名医学家张景岳(1563-1640)所谓“气之在

人，和则为正气，不和则为邪气”的道理。

当人体长期处于疲劳状态时，免疫力

即会低下，即正气“亏虚”，常引起的症状

有大便溏泄，神疲乏力，感冒频犯，身形虚

胖等；当心理压力过大时，则产生免疫力失

调，即气机“郁滞”，脏腑功能失调，常引

起便秘，痛经，失眠，胸胁胀痛，周身无名

疼痛等。

因此，中医学从“正气”立论，注重保

养正气，保持正常的功能以预防疾病；伤病

后，则强调扶助正气，疏通气机的运行，以

调动人体自身的恢复和疗愈能力，是传统中

医学的要素之一。

运用针灸保健防病在公元前就已有记

载，唐代名医孙思邈(581-682)的《千金要

方》中就有记载：“凡人吴蜀地游官，体上

常须三两处灸之，勿令疮暂差，则瘴疠温疟

毒气，不能着人也，故吴蜀多行灸法。”明

确指出艾灸可预防时疫传染病。后世医家在

中医认为预防疾病最好的办法就是顺应自然，规律生活，适当锻练。

提高正气，也就是我们通常所说的提高免疫力，来抵御外邪

针灸预防疾病方面也做了大量工作，尤其是

近年来，在针灸防治疾病的研究中，通过刺

激某些腧穴，观察人体或实验动物外周血

等处的免疫细胞如T淋巴细胞、粒细胞、单

核——巨噬细胞系统、红细胞、自然杀伤细

胞等，及免疫因子如细胞因子、免疫球蛋

白、补体系统等免疫指标并进行分析。大量

的临床观察和动物实验表明，针灸能够从整

体上双向调节机体的免疫防御系统，增强正

常机体免疫功能，提高低下的免疫能力，抑

制亢进的免疫反应，使机体免疫作用达到新

的动态平衡和内外环境的协调稳定。

会压力令年轻人好发带状疱疹和面瘫。在中

医范畴中，这些问题都是由于正气亏虚，外

感时疫所致，除了正常治疗以外，还需以放

松解压为辅。

以中医理论为指导，结合现代科学研

究，以“保健穴”足三里、气海、关元，合

谷等为主穴，根据每个人的实际情况，不断

扶正，适时攻邪，随症治疗，灵活加减穴

位，施以针刺或艾灸等治疗方法，能够起到

调整人体机能状态，提高免疫力，尤其在夏

季三伏，人体腠理开泄，针灸更易引导经络

运行，温经通络，固阳振气。

生活和工作是一种心态，良好的处事原

则，适当的锻炼，均衡的饮食都是提高免疫

力的方法。通过一两个小时的SPA疗程，清空

Stored Positive Energy Defeats Negative Energy

As early as five thousand years ago,

doctors pointed to immunity improve-

ment as the first thing to consider

when tackling the problem of defending

against illness. As the saying goes, “with posi-

tive energy in the body, illness can be defend-

ed”. “The Inner Canon of Huangdi” explains

positive energy as the activity of human organ

functions and the ability to fight against sick-

ness, while negative energy refers to all the

pathogenic factors.

According to TCM, the occurrence, trans-

mission and prognosis of disease mainly

depends on the condition of positive energy in

the body. The notion of positive energy mal-

function can be explained from two aspects.

The first is the weaker function of the body

organs and of supporting substances. This

entire phenomenon can be considered as

“weakness”. The other is the stagnation and

disturbance of positive energy, which can be

described as “stagnation”. The qi and blood

are the basic substances of life and affect

organ functions when either of the above two

mentioned conditions happens. This coincides

with what Zhang Jingyue, the famous medical

scientist in the Ming Dynasty, said: “The energy

is in the body and when all are functions well, it

is positive energy; otherwise, it is negative.”

When fatigued for a long period, people

tend to have lower immunity abilities which

can also be considered a shortage of positive

energy, leading to symptoms like diarrhea,

tiredness etc. When facing too much psy-

chological pressure, men will have immunity

disorder problems, that is “stagnation" with

the symptoms of the malfunction of viscera,

followed by constipation, dysmenorrheal,

insomnia, chest pain and other pains.

Hence, TCM theory is built the from the

perspective of “positive energy”, encouraging

people to maintain positive energy in order to

keep organs working normally and preventing

the body from getting disease. After an illness,

more positive energy is needed and should be

Regarding means of positive energy main-

tenance, one should do as follows: One is to

increase the substances that are beneficial to

the viscera, thus enhancing the healthy body

condition. The other is to eliminate secondary

pathogenic factors, smooth the body regulat-

ing system, qi and blood. Thus, “supplement

what is needed in the body and smooth the

regulating system” are the basic principles in

dealing with the body organs’ recovery.

Using acupuncture as the way of keeping

health and prevent illness has already been

documented for more than 2,000 years and

such evidence can be found in the Valuable

Prescriptions for Emergencies, written by

the famous doctor of the Tang Dynasty, Sun

Simiao (581-682). The book says that acu-

puncture is rather popular in Shu Kingdom

for people use it as a method to cure malaria

and also it claims that it does have effect in

preventing communicable disease. Much

research has been conducted on the preven-

tion of disease using acupuncture by medical

scientists, especially in recent years. In some

studies, by stimulating the acupoints, the

doctors observe and analyze immunity cells,

like T-lymphocyte, granulocyte, mononuclear-

mononuclear phagocyte system, red blood

cells, natural killer cell and the immune fac-

tors, such as the cytokines, immune globulin,

complement system and other immune

indice around the peripheral blood area in the

human body and the experimented animals.

Plenty of clinical research and animal experi-

ments show that acupuncture can enhance

normal human immunity functions, stimulate

hyperreactive immunity and restrict the hyper-

reactive ones, aiming to have the immunity

system reach a new dynamic balance and

maintain stability with both the inner and outer

environment.

Applying the theory of TCM, many SPA

treatments have the function of improving

immunity. For instance, the technique of

relaxing the head and the body cannot only

diminish pressure and fatigue stored in the

body, but also bring joy to the spirit by the

tender touch of the masseuse. The therapy of

lymphatic detoxifying and shiatsu can release

many types of immunity factors, regulate the

body system and improve positive energy by

stronger stimulation to the meridian points.

SPA treatments which contribute to pres-

sure reduction also have the benefit of assist-

ing healing and pain elimination. In modern

society, zoster and facioplegia can be regularly

seen among people because of high pressure.

Seen from the aspect of TCM, they are caused

by a shortage of positive energy. Apart from

ordinary cures, relaxation to reduce pressure

should be considered as well.

The condition of human organ functions

and improvements in immunity can be real-

ized through the following method of apply-

ing TCM as guidance, combining modern

technology and treating the health points

of zusanli, qihai and guanyuan as the main

acupoints. People need to eliminate nega-

tive energy in a timely way, cure disease as

it occurs, reduce or add acupoints and have

acupuncture or moxibustion as the healing

method which in summer, especially, can be

used to help regulate the body system and

maintain positive energy to deal with prob-

lems of grain of skin and the texture of subcu-

taneous flesh.

Life and work can be seen as an attitude.

The good principle to handle affairs, an

appropriate amount of exercise and a bal-

anced diet are ways to improve immunity. In

one or two hours’ SPA treatment, people can

obtain a soul-body communication with the

therapist, remove distracting thoughts and

pressure. All these are the best interpretation

of keeping good health from TCM theory.
