    The fourth Zelda title made it to the original Gameboy portable back in mid-1993. Like the first and third ones, it was an overhead adventure, completewith dungeons, monsters, heart pieces, and a wide array of items and placesto visit. In this one, Link is trapped on an island and cannot escape becauseof the sleeping Wind Fish. So, he has to travel through 8 dungeons andcollect the Siren's Instruments to awaken the Wind Fish and venture away.This Zelda game is just one of those games that everyone has played at onepoint or another in the nearly a decade's worth of time since it was firstreleased. So if you have yet to do so, go play it already!

    Though you fulfilled the Hyrulian prophecy of the Legendary Hero anddestroyed the evil tyrant Ganon, the land of Hyrule enjoyed only a precariouspeace. "Who knows what threats may arise from Ganon's ashes?" the restlesspeople murmured as they knitted their brows and shook their heads. Evervigilant, you decided to journey away from Hyrule on a quest forenlightenment, in search of wisdom that would make you better able towithstand the next threat to your homeland. Months of difficult travel

    passed. After a long and fruitful voyage, you breathed deeply the sea sprayfrom the deck of the ship that carried you home to Hyrule. But yourhomecoming was not to be. Suddenly a squall struck your ship, and though youvaliantly fought the waves, a lightning bolt reduced your ship to splinters.

    Your world faded to black as you sink into the darkness of the storm-tossedsea with the remains of your craft. But in the cold darkness of the deep, youheard a comforting voice that reminded you of home. It was the voice ofPrincess Zelda! "You're going to be all right!" the voice said. "What arelief!"

    You opened your eyes to find Princess Zelda standing over you - or was it?!Actually, it turned out to be a woman named Marin. She explained that you haddrifted with the wreckage of your ship to the shores of Koholint Island. Thismysterious island was unique for the gigantic egg, which crowned its centralmountain. It was said that a mythical creature, the Wind Fish, lay asleepinside the egg.

    You set out in search of your sword and other gear that might have washed upon the beach with you. As you stood in the surf with your recovered sword, astrange owl suddenly appeared and hooted this riddle:

    "Awaken the Wind Fish and all will be answered."

    "What is the Wind Fish?" you wonder... And what did its awakening portend?Your most mysterious adventure yet, following the riddle of the Wind Fishthroughout the uncharted island of Koholint, is about to unfold.

    Mabe Village------------

    You start the game in a house in Mabe Village, still unconscious in bed. Youwake up and the girl who rescued you, Marin is talking to you, but you thinkthat she's Princess Zelda! After she tells you that you're on KoholintIsland, jump out of bed and talk to Tarin, Marin's father. Talk to him andhe'll give you your Shield and it'll be automatically equipped on you. After

    Tarin gives you your Shield, leave the house and head left 2 screens, pastMadam MeowMeow's House to the screen with the well. From there, head south acouple more screens and you'll be at Toronbo Shores.

    Toronbo Shores--------------

    In the Toronbo Shores area, continue south to an area with trees and Octorokswandering around. Since you can't beat them yet, avoid them and go down thesteps heading south to the beach. From there, go right a couple screens while

    avoiding the Leevers until you reach the screen where your sword is laying.There's an Urchin blocking your access, so hold up your shield and walk intoit to move it until you can pass, then go around it and walk up to yoursword. Then, a mysterious owl will appear.

    He'll talk for a while, then tells you to head to the Mysterious Forest.Then, it'll fly away. When it does, take your Sword, then defeat the nearbyUrchin. Then, go up a screen and defeat those 2 Urchins as well, then go leftand beat 2 more. You should have gotten a couple rupees at least by beatingthem. Go up and left and defeat the other Urchin, then continue left and takethe path north. Take the steps up, then go right and up a couple screens,then go left again. Take the path north past the 2 kids playing catch, thencontinue up and around the path until you see a bush blocking further accessup the path. Cut it down, then go up into the Mysterious Forest.

    Mysterious Forest-----------------

    When you enter the Mysterious Forest, the owl will fly in again. It'll tellyou about how you must enter the Tail Cave after finding the Tail Key hiddenin the forest. After it leaves, continue up until you can't go up any furtherwhile fighting the Moblins along the way, and then head right 2 screens.You'll see a cave there; enter it.

    Inside the cave, get around the holes while avoiding the Keese and get up tothe next part, then avoid the Gels that come out of the ground to attack.Then, go left to the next room and you'll see a bunch of large rocks blockingyour exit. Push the ones that will move around until you make a path thatallows you to reach the cave's exit. Then, exit the cave and go left, thentake the Sleepy Toadstool there.

    Now, go back right and into the cave again. Push through the blocks therelike you did before, and then get through to the room with the Keese. Goright and down, then push the rock into the pit, and open the chest to get 50rupees. Now, go back around and exit the cave.

    Back outside, go up the path a couple screens until you reach a scene with a

    couple Gels and a Moblin by a cave blocked by large stones. There, go right acouple more screens, until you reach the area where you see a Heart Piece onan island surrounded by a bunch of pits. Then, go down a couple more screens,then right one and you'll be in front of the Witch's Hut.

    Go inside and put the Sleepy Mushroom in your inventory, then walk up to thewitch and press the button the mushroom was assigned to and you'll give it toher. She'll then use it and give you back Magic Powder, which is going to beuseful for most of the game. Now, leave the hut and go left a screen, then uptwo. Next, go left a couple screens, then down until you're back in the scenewith the entrance to that cave you went through before. Then, go left onescreen, then up one to a screen with a raccoon standing there.

    Go up to it and sprinkle Magic Powder on it and it'll bounce around the room,then turn into Tarin! After he's done talking, go up a screen and open thechest there to get the Tail Key! Then, the owl will appear and tell you tonow head to the Tail Cave with your key. After it flies away, go back downaround 3 or 4 screens until you can't go down any further, then go left 1screen. Next, go down a couple more screens until you're out of the forestcompletely.

    Now, continue south a few more screens until you're on that screen just southof the Library where the 2 kids are playing ball. You will then be back inthe Toronbo Shores area.

    Toronbo Shores--------------

    Here, head east until you can't go any further, then go down and around andgo left. Next, go south and east to the Tail Cave's entrance. Go up to thekeyhole and you'll put the key in, opening the gates to the cave. Now, go upand enter the Tail Cave.

    Tail Cave---------

    When you enter this dungeon, go left into the next room. In this room, hitthe 2 Hardhat Beetles with your sword so they fall into the pit, then takethe key that appears. Continue left to the next room. Here, defeat the 4 Gelsthat come out of the ground then open the chest to get the Compass. Then,leave the room and go right back to the first room. Now, go up into the nextroom and defeat the small Gels and knock the Hardhat Beetle into the pit.Then, step on the switch to make a chest appear; open it to get a key.

    Next, go right to the next room. In this room, defeat the 2 Stalfos and 2Keese to make a chest appear, then open it to get the Map. Then, go upthrough the one-way door, then in the next room, go left into the followingroom. In this room, defeat the Mini Moldorm while trying to avoid the Sparks,then open the chest to get a Key. Now, go left into the next room and defeatthe Mini Moldorm to make another chest appear. Open it to get 20 rupees.

    Now, go up into the next room. Here, defeat the Keese, then activate theBlade Trap and stand back. As it retracts, run past and unlock the door, thenenter the next room. Here, go right, then up and around the blocks whiletrying to avoid the small Gels and Sparks. Then, go back left and to a closeddoor; you'll see a lone block nearby. Push it in any direction to unlock the

    door. Now, enter the next room, where you'll encounter 2 Spiked Beetles. Flipthem over with your shield, and then defeat them with your sword to make astaircase appear.

    Go down the steps into the basement area, then go down and left whiledefeating the Goombas along the way. Keep going left, then up the ladder atthe end to enter a new room. Here, go up the hallway until you reach the roomwith the Blade Traps. Activate them, then run past when they return to wherethey were, and then open the chest to get Roc's Feather.

    Now, get past the Blade Traps and leave the room. Use the feather to take theWinged Heart while going down the hall so you can get all your hearts filled.Continue down to the steps, and then go right through the basement again.

    When you emerge in the other room again, go right into the next room. Here,simply jump over the pit and go down into the next room. Here, avoid theBlade Trap and Keese and continue down to the following room. In that room,go right into the following room, then in that room, take the path above theblock to the next room.

    Then, go right and up into the next room. Jump across the pit and walk intothe block with a keyhole on it to make it disappear, then go up the steps andleft to the next room. There, open the chest to get the Nightmare Key. Now,backtrack a few rooms back to the room with the Mini Moldorm and the Sparks

    then take the lower path right to the next room. Here, go right and unlockthe door, then enter the next room. Here, go up into the next room and defeatthe Three-of-a-Kind enemies to make a chest appear. Open it to get the StoneBeak.

    Now, leave the room, then jump over the pit to the right and enter the nextroom to fight the Rolling Bones mini-boss. After you beat it, take the Fairyand go up to the next room. Avoid the Blade Traps here and make your way tothe other side of the room, then use the Nightmare Key to unlock the door,then enter that room to enter the lair of Moldorm, the Tail Cave boss. Readthe Bosses section of this guide for help on beating it.

    After you beat it, take the Heart Container, then go up into the next roomand claim the Full Moon Cello!

    Toronbo Shores--------------

    After you get warped back outside the Tail Cave, go left to the next screenand the owl will be there waiting. It'll tell you that you need to collectall the instruments and that you should head to Goponga Swamp. After itleaves, go up another screen and hop over the hole in the ground, thencontinue left. Keep going left until you see the path going north, and thenfollow it to the next scene only to be stopped by those 2 kids!

    Mabe Village------------

    When you reach those kids, they'll tell you that BowWow, Madam MeowMeow'schained dog, was kidnapped by a gang of Moblins! After they stop talking,continue north all the way into the Mysterious Forest.

    Mysterious Forest-----------------

    Get through the forest all the way to the screen where a Heart Piece is on aplatform surrounded by a bunch of pits. Jump over a pit, take the Heart

    Piece, then jump over the upper pit and continue up the next area. Here, goup and right to the following screen. You'll see a cave there; enter it.Defeat the lone Moblin in the first room, then go up to the next room andbeat some more Moblins. After you beat them, go right into the next room tofight the King Moblin. Beat it by dodging its arrows until it charges at you.Move out of the way so it crashes into the wall, then while it's dazed, hitit with your sword. Repeat that process until it's defeated, then go to thelast room to free BowWow; just walk up to the rock it's chained on to freeit.

    Now, get out of the cave and go back left and down into the forest. Go westthrough the forest to the chest where the Tail Key was, then cut the bushesaround it and take the path left. Follow it left, up, then back to the right

    to the Goponga Swamp.

    Goponga Swamp-------------

    When you arrive by the swamp, go up to the next screen. Have BowWow eat theGoponga Flowers, then continue right to the next area. Next, go right, buttake the last path going down to the next screen. BowWow will automaticallyeat the large Goponga Flower there! Then, go right and open the chest to get50 rupees. Now, go back around to the room with the large Goponga Flower and

    take the upper-right path this time. Have BowWow eat some of the flowersblocking access to the cave there. Then, enter the cave, which is the BottleGrotto (Level 2).

    Bottle Grotto-------------

    When you enter this dungeon, just go straight up to the next room. Here, theroom is darkened and the doors are locked. To light them and open the doors,go up the steps and sprinkle Magic Powder in both of the lanterns. They'lllight up and open the door, then go right and into the next room. In thisroom, defeat the 2 Stalfos and take the Key that appears after you beat them.Use the key to open the door, then go down into the next room. In this room,beat the Mask-Mimic as described in the Enemies section of this guide to makea chest appear. Open it to get the Compass, then exit the room and once inthe previous room, go right into the following room.

    Here, hit the Crystal Switch with your sword, and then go down into the nextroom. In this room, beat the Sword Stalfos if you want, then hit the CrystalSwitch and open the chest to get a Key. Now, stand on the lowered blockplatform right next to the switch, and then hit the switch again to raisethem. Now, jump right onto the other raised blocks, and then continue to thenext room. Here, jump across the pits while making your way to the switch aswell as the Crystal Switch on the other side. Stand on the switch to make a

    chest appear; open it to get another Key.

    Then, go left and up into the next room. Here, beat both the Mask-Mimics withyour Spinning Sword Attack to make a key appear. Now, go back down to theCrystal Switch in the previous room and hit it. Then, jump back across thepits back left and into the next room. Hit the switch there and then go upinto the following room. Here, just go right into the other room and take theKey there. Now, backtrack all the way back to the room where you fought those2 Mask-Mimics, but you have to remember that you have to hit the rightCrystal Switches like before to get there! When you get there, go right intothe next room. Here, beat the 2 Spiked Beetles if you want, then unlock thedoor and enter the next room.

    In this room, push the 2 blocks together to make steps appear; go down theminto the side-view area. Here, ride the platform to the other side, then jumpoff and continue to the next half. Here, jump on the platform when it's lowenough, then ride it to the top and go up the ladder to the next room. Thisroom is darkened, but you shouldn't have trouble seeing the floor if you'replaying this with the GB Color unit. Jump onto the middle platform and jumpup and take the Winged Hearts. Then, go up and through the one-way door intoa room where you must fight the Hinox.

    Just keep attacking the Hinox with your sword until it's defeated; after youbeat it, take the Fairy and go right to the next room. Here, just go rightand up while avoiding the Keese, then go up into the next room. In this room,make your way to the chest while avoiding the Keese and the Vacuum Mouth,

    then open it to get the Map. Now, go up into the next room. There, beat theKeese and take the Winged Magic Powder, then open the chest to get 20 rupees.

    Then, unlock the door to the left and enter that room. Here, light a lanternwith some powder, and then beat the Boo Buddies to make another chest appear.Open it to get the Power Bracelet, another really useful item! Now, leave theroom and lift up the pots behind the chest, then continue to the next room.In this room, go right and hit the Crystal Switch, then stand on the loweredblock in the middle, then hit the switch again to lower the other ones. Then,stand on the lowered blocks to the right and hit the switch again to raise

    them while you're standing on them. Open the chest nearby to get a Key. Then,continue right to the next room; there, just keep going to the room after it.In this room, just go right and down into the next room.

    To get the Nightmare Key, you must defeat the 3 enemies here in the exactorder I tell you here, otherwise you won't get it. First, push the blocksaround so you can hit the Pols Voice surrounded by blocks. Defeat the PolsVoice by throwing a pot at it. Then, defeat the Keese in the lower-rightcorner of the room. Finally, beat the Shrouded Stalfos and a chest shouldappear. Open it to get the Nightmare Key.

    Now, leave the room and unlock the door with a key, then enter that room.Beat the Pols Voices and the Gel by throwing pots at them, then go down thesteps that appear. In the first scene, just ride down the stone elevator,then go left to the next room. Here, pick up a pot, then climb the ladder andstand on the next elevator. It'll weigh down this trap elevator, allowing youto go down it! Then, go left and up the elevator to the next room.

    In this room, go down and around, then jump across the pits to the door, andthen use the Nightmare Key to open it. Then, enter the room where the boss,the Genie, is found. Read the Bosses section of this guide for information onbeating it. After you beat it, take the Heart Container, then go to the nextroom and take the Conch Horn!

    Goponga Swamp-------------

    After you are brought back outside the Bottle Grotto, have BowWow eat apassageway through the flowers, then go down to the next screen. Then, godown and use the Power Bracelet to lift up the 2 stones, then continue southto the next screen. Jump over the pits, and then continue south, then east tothe Witch's Hut. Jump over the pit there, then go south some more until youreach another rock that you must lift up. Lift it up, and then go down untilyou reach the path. Take it west and lift another rock and cut down a bush,then enter Mabe Village again.

    Mabe Village

    ------------

    When you enter Mabe Village from the east, go west, then south and west againto Madam MeowMeow's House. Go inside and talk to her and she'll thank you fortaking care of BowWow, then give you a kiss, heh. Now, leave the house andBowWow will once again be chained outside to its post. Now, you should haveenough rupees on you to buy the Shovel by now, so it's time to head to theShop. Go in and buy the Shovel (it would help if you did the Money SavingTrick here). Then, buy some Bombs as well. Then, leave the shop and head eastto the next screen and cut down the bushes and lift up the rocks. Then,continue right into Ukuku Prairie.

    Ukuku Prairie

    -------------

    From the start of this large, open area, go right along the path until youreach the warp. From there, go south a few screens, past the keyhole for theKey Cavern, then go right 1 screen. Next, continue down until you reach abuilding. Go inside and talk to the guy, whose name is Richard. He'll giveyou the key for that keyhole you passed if you go to Kanalet Castle andretrieve the 5 Golden Leaves for him.

    Agree to help him, then leave the villa and continue east. When the path

    turns, follow it north, and then follow it right one screen. Continue up thepath going north until you reach the Telephone Booth. From there, go rightone screen, then up one and you'll be at the gate of Kanalet Castle. Sincethe gate's up, go right and you'll meet Kiki the Monkey. You must havealready gotten the Bananas from the Trading Process in order to continue (ifnot, you'll have to catch yourself up before continuing).

    Give Kiki the Bananas and it'll call its monkey friends to make a bridge tocross the small stream. Take the Stick they leave behind, then continue upacross the bridge and into the next scene. Keep going up until you reachanother Telephone Booth, then go left and you'll see a lone bush there. Cutit down, and then go descend the stairs there. In that side-view area beatthe Goombas, then continue left. Jump over the 2 spike pits with Roc'sFeather, then climb the ladder and you'll be inside the walls of KanaletCastle.

    Kanalet Castle--------------

    Once you're inside the castle's walls, your job is to find the 5 GoldenLeaves. First, head right and defeat the Soldier there. Then, go down to thenext area and you'll see 6 holes in the ground and the Mad Bomber randomlypops out of them. Hit the bomber 4 times to make him give up the first GoldenLeaf. Next, go down and beat a couple more Soldiers, then go left a couple

    screens. Defeat another Soldier, then go up one screen and beat yet anotherSoldier. Then, lift up a rock and throw it at the tree the Crow is sittingin. That'll make it fly out after you; hit it with your sword a couple timesto beat it and get the second Leaf.

    Now, go back down and right and you'll see an entrance into the castle; go init and explore the inside of the castle. Once inside, take the hallway leftto the next room. Here, defeat the Gel and 2 sword-less Soldiers to make thenext Golden Leaf appear. Take it, then go up to the next room. Avoid theSoldiers here and go right to the following room.

    Defeat the Keese and sword-less Soldier, then stand on the switch there tolower the gate in front of the castle, then go up the nearby steps and go

    left. Go left and up the stairs to the next floor. There, go down the stepsin front of you and put a bomb in front of the left wall statue. It'llexplode and a Soldier will come out so watch out! Beat the Soldier to get thefourth Leaf.

    Now, go up the steps and go right, then down. Next, go left and down and exitthe castle. Back outside, go right and reenter the castle through the otherdoorway. Pick up a pot here and throw it at the closed door to open it. Go inthat room and fight the Knight mini-boss. After you beat it, take the finalGolden Leaf and exit the room and go outside again. Reenter the other doorwayand get through the castle all the way back to the first floor. Then,continue through until you're completely outside the castle with the task youwere sent there for accomplished!

    Ukuku Prairie-------------

    From the castle, go south and across the now lowered gate. Then, continuesouth and left with the path, past the Phone Booth, then south some more.Keep going down and follow the path south util it ends, then continue downand left to Richard's Villa. Give him the Golden Leaves and he'll step aside;push the dresser to reveal a hidden stairway. Go down it, then take the pathup and left and push the rock into the pit, then open the chest to get a

    Secret Seashell. Then, go back and take the right path up and go up the stepsat the end to be brought up to a field behind the villa.

    Please refer to the map, also at GameFAQs, for help getting through the"maze" of bushes. It is located at the following URL:

    After you get to the other side by the owl statue, cut down the bush in frontof it and use the Shovel to dig where the bush was. Take the Slime Key thatyou dig up, then get back around through the bush maze and back through thecave into Richard's Villa. After you leave the villa, follow the path up andleft, then up again. You should see a keyhole there; go up to it and your keywill automatically be put in and the gate will open.

    To get inside this dungeon, go back south to Richard's Villa, then east andnorth again. When you're able to go left towards the water, go left and downalong the left side of the trees to the next screen. Here, jump onto theisland to the left and go left to the next screen. Jump across a couple moreislands and continue left to the following screen. Here, go into the now opencave to enter the Key Cavern, also known as Level 3.

    Key Cavern----------

    When you enter this dungeon, lift up a pot on either side of you and throw itat the closed door to open it. Go through that door to the next room. In thisroom, defeat the enemies to make a chest appear. Open it to get a Key. Then,take the path north of the chest (the right path) to the next room. Walk upthrough this room and beat the Gels that appear. Open the chest if you wantto fight another Gel, otherwise don't touch the chest and continue up to thenext room.

    In this room, either defeat or ignore the 2 Stalfos because beating themwon't do anything because you can't reach the small Gel until later in thislevel. Then, go up into the next room. Here, just run to the stairs and godown them to the next floor. Defeat the Gels here if you want, then use the

    Key to open the south door, then go into that room. There, defeat thePairodd, the Shrouded Stalfos, and a couple of Gels to make a Key appear.Take the Key as it moves along the moving floor. Then, go back up to theprevious room and open the west door. Here, beat the Pairodds and a couplemore Gels to make another Key appear.

    Take it and the Winged Hearts if you need the health, then go back right tothe middle room. Now, unlock the north door and go into that room. Defeat theStalfos and the Shrouded Stalfos to make another Key appear. Take it, then godown to the previous room. Go right and unlock that door, then go around theroom while trying to avoid the Pairodd and Keese, then go up the steps at theend. In the next room, go around this room and beat all the Gels that comeout of the ground to make a Key appear. Take the Key and go up into the next

    room.

    Here, simply go left to the following room and defeat all the Gels there toopen the doors. Go into the north room to fight the Dodongo Snakes! To beatthem quickly, defeat one of them, then go up the steps at the bottom of thescreen and go down to the next room. Then, go back up and the one you didn'tkill will be dead!     Now, take the nearby Winged Hearts if you want, then use the Pegasus Bootsand the Sword to ram through the crystal-like obstacles. Then, push the blockat the end and go down to the next room. In this room, bomb the right wallbetween the 2 candles, then go right through the hole to the next room. Inthis room, use the Pegasus Boots and Roc's Feather to jump across the pit,then go up the steps and to the next room. Here, go up and jump across thesmaller pit, then open the chest to get the Nightmare Key.

    Next, jump off the ledge and go up to the next room. Here, beat the Bombitesthat count down then explode as well as the Gels, then go left to the nextroom. Here, beat the Shrouded Stalfos and the Gels. Also, open the chest toget the Compass. Then, bomb the lower half of the left wall to make a hole init, then go through that hole to the next room. Here, beat the Bombites tomake a Key appear. Take it, then backtrack a few rooms back to the room whereyou got the Nightmare Key on the higher ledge.

    There, go left into the next room, then go down to the following room. Next,go left and defeat the Gels there, then go through the left door this time tothe next room. Here, defeat the Pairodds and Gels, then take the Key thatappears. Next, go up through the one-way door into the next room. Beat theGels and Stalfos to make a chest appear. Now, go through the next one-waydoor to the following room.

    In this room, beat the Bombites and Sword Stalfos, then lift up and throw

    away a pot and take the Winged Bombs. Then, go around and up the steps, thengo down to the next room. Here, open the chest to get 50 rupees, then go downto the following room. Just go right, then down the steps and push the blockaway, then go through the north door to the warp that appeared after you beatthe Dodongo Snakes; go in the warp to reach the level's entrance again. Here,go right into the room there. Wait until the Vacuum Mouth pauses, and thenuse the Pegasus Boots and Roc's Feather to get to the other side of the roomquickly. Then, beat the trap and open the chest to get a Key.

    Now, leave the room and throw a pot at the north door to open it, then enterthe next room. This time, take the left path up through the next couple ofrooms. Run through the crystals with the boots, and then in the followingroom, beat the small Gel. Now, backtrack to the room with the Bombites and

    take the right path up. When you get to the room with the Stalfos, beat themand open the chest that appears to get 200 rupees!

    From here, backtrack again to the dungeon's entrance and take the warp to theDodongo Snakes room. Go down out of the room, and then go around and up,unlocking all the keyhole blocks along the way. At the end, go down the stepsand go right. Use the Pegasus Boots to ram the Mega Thwomp, then continueright to the next part. Here, use the boots and Roc's Feather to jump acrossthe spike pit, then grab onto the ladder by the pipe. Then, go up it and downthe other ladder to the next room.

    In this room, defeat the Pairodds with help from your Pegasus Boots andsword. Take the Winged Hearts if needed, then go to the next room. Ignore the

    Keese and unlock the north door with the Nightmare Key to enter the boss'sroom. After it taunts you from its hiding place, ram the wall to shake it offthe ceiling and make it come down. Read the Bosses section of this guide forinformation on beating the Slime Eyes.

    After you beat them, take the Heart Container and go up into the next roomand take the Sea Lily's Bell, the third Instrument!

    After you get warped back outside again, go right one screen and the owl willfly in again. It'll tell you to head towards the Yarna Desert. After itleaves, continue right across the islands, then go north and east. Continuegoing north, and then go east until the path splits. Take the path goingsouth and continue south 2 screens, then go east. Here, you should see a bushat the right half of the scene; cut down the bush and go down the steps intoa cavern. Get through it while avoiding the Sharks and using the PegasusBoots to get through the crystals, then take the steps up to the outside.From there, go south a few more screens, then go east the first chance youget and enter the Animal Village.

    Animal Village--------------

    When you enter the Animal Village, go right one screen and down one. You'llsee a building there; go inside and meet Chef Bear. Talk to him and he'lltell you about the sleeping walrus by the entrance to the desert and Marin isthe only one who can wake it! Now, leave here and go left a screen, then gosouth and east to the walrus. Talk to it, then backtrack until you're in thevillage again, and then go back to Chef Bear's place. From there, go down 1screen, then left 1 and jump into the warp to be brought to the entrance toMabe Village.

    Ukuku Prairie-------------

    When you land, go left and lift the stones out of the way to enter thevillage.

    Mabe Village------------

    Then, go left a screen and up one, then lift the stones out of the way andenter the Dream Shrine.

    Dream Shrine

    ------------

    Inside the Dream Shrine, go into the bed and you'll be warped into the DreamShrine itself. There, use your sword and Pegasus Boots to dash through allthe Arm Mimics as you make your way all the way around the shrine. When youreach the first set of steps, go up them and up the next set, and then openthe chest at the next screen to get 100 rupees. Then, go back down and ramthrough the crystal and go up the other steps. Open the chest to get theOcarina. Now, go back down one set of steps and jump off the ledge and exitthe dream and wake up. Then just exit the Dream Shrine with your new item!

    Mabe Village------------

    From the Dream Shrine, head south a couple of screens, then head west all theway to the well. Then, go south to the Toronbo Shores area.

    Toronbo Shores--------------

    From there, head south all the way to the scene where you reach the Octoroks.From that point, go east for a while until you finally reach a scene with atreasure chest and a couple of rocks blocking your access. Go south from

    there to the beach and you'll find Marin! You and Marin will sit there andtalk for a little bit by the shore. After a while, she'll figure out thatyou're there because the walrus needs her. Then, she'll come with you untilyou reach the walrus!

    Now, get back to Mabe Village by going west and north along the shore areas.

    Mabe Village------------

    When you get to the village, continue east and north, past the shop, thenlift up the stones and head out to Ukuku Prairie.

    Ukuku Prairie-------------

    Next, go east another screen and jump back into the warp to be brought backto a pond right next to the Animal Village.

    Animal Village--------------

    From the warp, go east, then up the steps into the village itself. Fromthere, go west and south out of the village again, then continue east to the

    walrus. Simply walk up to it and say yes when Marin asks if she should wakeit, then she'll sing. It'll wake up and fall into the sea, allowing youaccess to the desert! A rabbit will appear and Marin will tell you thatshe'll be at the Animal Village if you need her. Now, just go east into thedesert.

    Yarna Desert------------

    Upon entering the desert, go north until you reach the quicksand area. TheLanmola will them emerge and you'll have to fight it. Slash it with yoursword whenever it jumps out of the sand until it's defeated. After you beatit, take the Angler Key it leaves behind and you'll automatically sink into

    the quicksand into a cave below.

    Go right through the cave, then up the steps at the end to get back outsideagain. From the cave exit, go left to the quicksand area again. Now, go southone screen. Take the left route south so you're on the higher ledge, and thencontinue south. At the next scene, the owl will appear and talk to you aboutwhere the next dungeon is. After it leaves, go down and left, then jump offthe ledge and go west.

    Go left another screen, then up a couple into the Animal Village again.

    Animal Village--------------

    Talk to Marin and she'll compliment you about your new Ocarina and she'llteach you a song, "The Ballad of the Wind Fish". It'll be song "1" on yourOcarina if you want to play it again. Now, go right a screen, then down tothe small pond south of the village. Then, go left into the warp to bebrought back to Ukuku Prairie just outside Mabe Village.

    When you land, go up a screen and up the steps, then lift up the stone andcontinue to the following screen.

    Koholint Wasteland------------------

    Now, continue north while lifting any stones along the way until you can't gonorth, but east or west. Take the path east and lift up the stones there,then go up to the next screen. Next, go left a screen and take the path thereup another screen. There, lift up the stones in your way and take the higherroute east to the Eastern Tal Tal Mountains region.

    Eastern Tal Tal Mountains-------------------------

    Here, keep going east all the way to the water area, then lift the stonethere and continue right one more screen. Then, go down the steps to thescene at the bottom. Then, take the path up alongside the steps you justdescended then go right until you reach the keyhole. Walk up to it and theAngler Key will go in and reveal the dungeon in the waterfall.

    At this point, go back west to the steps again and climb up them, thencontinue left and lift up the stone in the way. Then, continue along the pathgoing west until you reach another set of stairs; go up them. Then, lift the

    stones in the way and enter the cave there. Get through this room whileavoiding the Keese and Gels, as well as the Hardhat Beetle there, then pushthe stones around at the end and go down the steps to the next room.

    In the next room, go right all the way to the steps and go up then to thenext room. Here, go down and right and you'll see an exit to the outside.Once outside, open the chest to get 50 rupees, then go back into the cave.Now, dash through the crystals with the boots, then go out the other exit tothe outside. Now, go right a screen, then down the steps and continue east.Keep going until you reach a dry area with a ledge you can jump off of. Dropoff the cliff and you'll land right in front of the next dungeon, Angler'sTunnel. Then, just go inside the Level 4 dungeon!

    Angler's Tunnel---------------

    When you enter the Angler's Tunnel, go up into the following room. Here,defeat the Spiked Beetles and the Gel to open the east door, and then goright to the next room. Here, beat the Spiked Beetles and a Gel to open thesouth and west doors. Then, open the chest to get the Compass. Next, go downinto the south room. Here, get across the room and jump over the deepsections of water while avoiding the Water Tektites. Cut down the crystallike things, then open the chest to get a Key.

    Then, go back up and leave the room. Then, go back left a couple rooms, thenup the steps and right to the next room. Continue right to the following

    room, then go down the steps and open the chest to get the Stone Beak. Now,go back up the steps and to the previous room. Next, go up through the nextcouple of rooms, and then go right. Then, go up and open the chest there toget the Map. Then, go down the steps and use the Pegasus Boots and Roc'sFeather to jump across the pit, then go right to the next room.

    Here, bomb the cracked block, and then push the solid block into the water.Open the chest to get a Key. Next, go up to the next room. Avoid the Peahatsand Water Tektites here, then continue up to the following room. Here,destroy the cracked block with a bomb, then open the next chest to get

    another Key. Then, jump over the small area of deep water to the left andgrab the Winged Hearts in the air, then go back across and leave the room.

    Go back down through this room to the next one, and then go left into thefollowing room. Now, get back across the pit and go up the steps, then goleft to the next room. Now, continue south and west until you reach the roomwith the Gel and Spiked Beetles. Beat them and go right into the next room.Then, just go right through that room and unlock the right door and enter thefollowing room. In the following room, get around that room and unlock thedoor at the end with your Key and enter the next room.

    In this room, just run straight through and into the following room. Here,beat the Gels, then use the boots and feather to jump across the pit to thenorth platform and continue up to the next room. Here, use the last key youhave to make the keyhole block disappear. Then, push the block behind itupward, and then go left to the next room.

    Here, just avoid the Gels for now and head down through the next couplerooms. Jump across the deep waters, then go left one room, then go left acouple rooms while staying along the shallow areas. Then, go up anothercouple rooms while avoiding the Peahats and Sword Stalfos. In the room abovethe one with the Peahats, open the chest if you want to fight another Gel,then continue up to the following room. In this room, just avoid the WaterTektites, then go right to the next room. In this room, just open the chest

    to get a Key.

    Now, backtrack through quite a few rooms until you reach the room with the 2Gels and a locked door. Unlock that door and enter the room to fight the CueBall mini-boss. After you beat it, take the Fairy if you need it, then go upinto the next room. Here, go in the room and wait for the blocks to lock youin the room, then pull the switch in the upper-right corner of the room usingthe Power Bracelet.

    After you pull it all the way back, quickly let go and get through the westexit before the blocks close again and into the next room. Here, beat theGels, then go up the steps and open the chest to get the Flippers! Then, godown into the next room. Here, step on the tiles in the order they're

    flashing to open the door you just came through. Remember that pattern foranother part of the level! Now, go down into the next room. Here, just godown and swim in the deep water right to the following room. In this room,beat the Gels to make a Key fall through the hole to the floor below. Now, goright to the next room and just get past the enemies, and go down the stairs.

    In the basement, ride the platform across the spiked pit, and then go leftinto the next room. Dive into the water here and take the Key at the bottomof the pool. Then, get out and go back right the way you came and up theladder again. Now, go left a couple rooms, then in the second room, push theblock out of the way and continue left to the next room. Here, defeat theWater Tektites, and then stand on each of the 5 tiles in the order they wereflashing in the room after you've acquired the Flippers.

    After you do that, stairs will appear; go down them. In the basement, walkunder the large Spiked Thwomp so it falls, then quickly walk back to avoidgetting crushed. Then, as it goes back up, run left to the next screen.There, assign the Pegasus Boots and Roc's Feather on both buttons, then dashleft and jump onto the ladder so the other Spiked Thwomp falls. Then, climbthe ladder and jump on the Thwomp on its way up, then jump to the left ledgeand go up the ladder to the next room. In this room, go down to the followingroom, and open the chest to get the Nightmare Key.

    Now, go back to the previous screen and drop off the ledge and go right tothe next room. Here, swim across through the deep water to the small platformwith the switch on it. Stand on the switch to open the door, then go up tothe next room. In this room, take the Winged Hearts, then use the Key on thekeyhole block there to make it vanish, then go up and left, then down thesteps. In the entire basement area, just go left while defeating the CheepCheeps if you want, then go up the ladder at the end into a new room.

    Here, just go left to the following room and push the block in front of youforward. Then, defeat the Gels if you want then go up and open the door withthe Nightmare Key. In the next room, just go down the steps and into anotherwatery area. In this room, just dive into the water and go down to meet theAngler Fish boss! Read the Bosses section for help on beating it. After youbeat it, take the Heart Container and go up out of the water and go up theladders to the room above. Now, just go north into the next room and take theSurf Harp!

    Eastern Tal Tal Mountains-------------------------

    After you get warped back outside of the Angler's Tunnel, go into the deepwater with the Flippers and swim left one screen and enter the cave there.Swim up to the large fish there and when it asks if you have an Ocarina, sayyes and it'll teach you a new song, "Manbo's Mambo". This will be song #2 on

    your Ocarina. After you learn it, go left out of the cave and swim right ascreen and go down the steps in front of the last dungeon.

    Get through the cave and push the stone into the pit, then jump over it andgo up the steps to reappear outside on dry land. Now, go left one screen andgo up into the warp.

    Animal Village--------------

    When you arrive by Animal Village, go right one screen and a ghost willappear and follow you around. To help it out, go up and left through thevillage, then take the northwest exit. Now, continue south until you can head

    west.

    Martha's Bay------------

    At that point, go left and up onto the wooden bridge. Then, jump off theright end into the water and swim north one screen. Then, swim west a couplescreens while passing by the next dungeon, then climb up the ladder onescreen to the left of it. Next, go south 2 screens, then left one. Use thePegasus Boots and Roc's Feather to jump over the pit, then continue left tothe House by the Bay. Go inside the house and the ghost will look around fora moment, then ask to be taken to its grave.

    To reach the grave, go up and left, then lift up the stones in the way.

    Toronbo Shores--------------

    Now, continue west all the way across the shore area, then head north whenyou reach the end. From there, head north into Mabe Village.

    Mabe Village------------

    Keep going up and around, then continue up to the well and a fork in theroad. Go right through Mabe Village until you reach the shop; go inside it.Buy the Bow (you should have enough rupees by now) and use the Money SavingTrick in the Secrets section of this guide to save some money. Now, leave theshop and go east, then lift the stones up at the east exit to Ukuku Prairie.

    Ukuku Prairie-------------

    Go right and up, then lift another stone out of your way at the top of thesteps, then go up a couple more screens to the scene with the Witch's Hut.From there, jump over the pit and go left another screen, then lift up thestone and go down the steps to the following screen. Now, go left and up theother steps to reach the grave! Go up to it and the ghost will give you ahint about the contents of a pot in its house. Then, it'll disappear into thegrave.

    The owl will then fly in at this point. It'll tell you to go south toMartha's Bay and enter the Catfish's Maw. After it flies away, go south andaround, then lift the stone and go east and jump the pit again. Then, gosouth and lift another stone out of the way, then go down the steps and downone screen. Jump into the warp, but when you arrive in the Tal Tal Mountainarea, jump in again and you'll be appear by the Animal Village area.

    Animal Village--------------

    From there, go right one screen, then up one. Go left and up through thevillage, then left to exit the village. From there, go south until you'reable to go west. At that point, go west one screen and up one to the woodenbridge. Now, you're in the Martha's Bay area.

    Martha's Bay------------

    When you're on the bridge, jump off the right side, and then swim up one

    screen. Next, swim left another screen and you'll see the Catfish's Mawsurrounded by rocks. You'll see an indent in the lower-left area of therocks. Swim there, then dive in the water to enter an underwater area. Justswim down and right, then up at the other side and you'll emerge inside therocky circle! Now, just swim into the Catfish's Maw, also known as Level 5.

    Catfish's Maw-------------

    From the start of this dungeon, go left 2 rooms while avoiding the enemies inthe second room. In the third room, defeat the 4 Keese and the Iron Mask toopen the west door. Go through the door into the next room. In this room,open the chest to get the Compass, then avoid the enemies and go down the

    steps. Here, use Roc's Feather to jump from platform to platform quicklythrough the couple of rooms in the basement, then at the end, climb theladder and enter the next room.

    In the next room, defeat the 4 Stalfos and cut down all the crystal-likethings until the whole room is clear. Then, push the 2 blocks towards eachother so it forms a square to make a Key appear. Take it, and then go backdown the steps into the basement. Get through the side-scrolling areas byrunning to the right on the ground, then climb the ladder. Next, drop down tothe lower area and climb the next ladder into the next room. Here, defeat the

    Iron Masks to open the door.

    Go through the door, then in the following room, use the Key on the northdoor and enter that room. In this room, just run upward through it whileavoiding the enemies into the next room. There, defeat the 3 Stalfos to openthe door, then go through it into the following room. In this room, you'llmeet the Master Stalfos for the first time. Fight him by hitting him withyour sword, then put a bomb on him to harm him. Continue that until he runsaway. Then, continue right to the next room. Here, don't even waste your timeopening the chest unless you want to see it's empty and Master Stalfos stolewhat was inside.

    Now, go up into the next room. In that room, push the middle block forwardand go left into the next room. Then, turn around and go back into theprevious room. Now, push the middle block to the right and go up into thenext room. Then, go back down to the room you were just in and push the blockdownward. Then, stand on and activate the round switch to open the door. Now,go right into the following room. In this room, you'll have to fight MasterStalfos for the second time. Beat him like before until he flees, then leavethe room.

    Here, push the middle block to the left and go up into that room. Jump overthe small pit and defeat the Hooded Stalfos and the Star, then continue up tothe following room. There, defeat the Sword Stalfos and Star if you want,

    otherwise continue left to the next room. There, defeat the 2 Gels you canreach, then lift up the pot that's straight ahead in front of the open door,then stand in that corner to make another Gel appear. Beat it to open thedoor, then continue up to meeting #3 with Master Stalfos!

    Fight him until he runs, then continue left to the next room. Here, lift upthe pots so you can enter the room, then defeat the Stalfos and open thechest to get the Map. Now, backtrack all the way to the room with the 5blocks and the switch. There, push the middle block downward and go left tothe next room. Then, re enter the room you just left and push the block tothe right and go down to that room. There, go left into the next room.

    Now, go straight down through the rooms until you can either go left or

    right. Then, defeat the Keese and Iron Mask to open the west door; go intothat room. There, go down the steps into the basement area. Get through thisarea like earlier in the level, then when you emerge in the next room, defeatthe 3 Stalfos. Then, cut through the crystal-like objects and go left intothe next room. Here, you'll fight Master Stalfos for the final time. Defeathim here, then take the Hookshot.

    Now, play Manbo's Mambo on your Ocarina to be warped to the entrance of thedungeon. Then, go left 2 rooms. In the room with the Keese and Iron Mask, goup and around the blocks, and then go right. Use the Hookshot on the chest,and then open it to get 200 rupees! Next, Hookshot back across the pit and goleft into the next room. Then, go up into the following room. There, go leftinto the next room, then up into the room after it. Then, go left into the

    next room and use the Hookshot to cross the pits with Blade Traps guardingthem. Then, go left into the following room. There, use the Hookshot to pullyourself to the chest, then open it to get a Key.

    Then, go down and right and exit the room, then cross the pits again with theHookshot and continue to the next room. In that room, use the Hookshot on thesmall hook on the other side of the pit to stretch a bridge for you to walkacross. Go up and into the next room. Use the Key on the keyhole block, thengo left into the room with the 2 Gohmas! Read about them in the Mini-Bossessection of this guide for help on beating them.

    After you beat them and the warp appears, take the lower-right exit from theroom and go down 2 rooms and right one. Then, continue up 2 rooms, then rightone and up one. You should be in the room with the blocks again. Push thecenter block upward and go left into that room. Get through this room, andthen go up into a more watery room. Jump into the deep water and dive aroundin it until you go into a side-scrolling area. Swim down and left throughthis area while defeating the Bloobers, then swim up into the next room atthe end. Here, use the Hookshot to pull the hook across, then walk across thebridge and open the chest to get the Nightmare Key.

    Then, go back around and down the steps into the watery area. Swim rightthrough it and then emerge at the other end into the next room. There, godown 1 room and 1 to the right into the room with the blocks. Here, push theblock to the right and go up to the next room. Here, jump over the pit and goright, then jump into the corner where you're surrounded by pits. Then, usethe Hookshot on the chest, and then open it to get 50 rupees.

    Next, go right into the next room and use the Hookshot to cross the pit.Then, open the chest to get a Key. Now, play Manbo's Mambo on the Ocarina tobe warped to the level entrance. From there, walk into the warp to be broughtto where you beat Gohma. Then, take the upper-right path to the next room,and then go down the steps to the basement. Climb down the ladder, and thengo left to the next scene. Then, look to the north and use the Hookshot on

    the statue head to get pulled up to it. Then, go left and up the ladder intothe next room.

    In this room, use the Key on the keyhole block to make it disappear, thencontinue up and around the blocks. Then, use the Hookshot on the blocksacross the pit to get across, and then go left to the next room. Here, usethe Nightmare Key to unlock the door, then enter the room to meet the boss,the Slime Eel. Read the Bosses section for information on beating it. Afteryou beat it, take the Heart Container and enter the next room, then go up andtake the Wind Marimba!

    Martha's Bay------------

    After you're back outside of the Catfish's Maw, swim down to the rocks, thenleft into the corner. Then, dive into the water to reach the underwaterpassageway. Swim down and left through it, then up at the end to resurface atthe other side of the rocks. Now, go left around the small rocks, and thenswim right to the next screen. Here, swim up 2 screens, and then go up thesteps onto the land.

    Ukuku Prairie-------------

    Next, go right another screen, then up 2. Then, go right 2 screens and theowl will fly in to have a word with you. It'll just tell you to head to the

    Southern Shrine before the northern Face Shrine, then fly off. After itleaves, continue right to the next screen. In that scene, cut down the bushesand lift up the stones in your way while either avoiding or defeating theTektites. Then, continue right and down into the next area.

    Since this area is infested with Armos Knights, be sure to follow mydirections EXACTLY as I say them in order to get through this area easilyNow, just go straight down to the next screen. Then, go right and defeat acouple of Gels in your way, then go down and around the turn, then continueleft to the next screen. Here, go all the way left to the barrier, then go

    straight up and take out your shield.

    Hold it in front of you and walk into the statue to the left to bounce it outof your way. Now, just go left to the next screen. Go left and up to the nextscene. There, stay to the left and defeat the Gels, then use the shield tomove the Armos statue to the left. Then, go down to the next screen. Go downand left to the following screen.

    There, go down and left, then stand above the statue near the bottom of yourscreen, then walk into it with your shield up. Walk into it repeatedly untilit moves, then go left and up and do the same for the other statue. Next, goright and up the steps to the next screen. Then, just go up into the southernshrine.

    Southern Shrine---------------

    When you enter the southern shrine, go up into the next room and be preparedto fight the Armos Knight! Equip Roc's Feather on one button and the Bow &Arrows to the other and you'll be set to fight. Wait until it starts to move,then attack it. Beat it by shooting it repeatedly with your arrows. Jump withthe feather when the knight jumps and stomps on the ground. After shooting itaround 12 times, it'll be defeated and you'll get the Face Key! Since it'sunnecessary to enter the following room, just go back down a couple rooms and

    back outside again.

    Ukuku Prairie-------------

    From the shrine, go down the steps to the next screen. Now, use theinformation on getting to the shrine in reverse order to get back out of theArmos Statue maze. When you're at the first screen of the maze, go up to thenext screen. Then, go left one screen and use the Power Bracelet to lift upthe stones and head north to the next screen. There, lift up the single stoneto the left and cut down some more bushes, then lift some more stones andcontinue left to the next screen.

    Here, go left and down the steps into the water and swim down to thefollowing screen. There, swim around the island and go up the steps. Walkinto the Armos Statue to the left to activate it, then kill it with an arrow.Now, take the arrow it leaves behind and go down the steps into a cave. Here,go left while avoiding the sharks and in the next scene, use the Hookshot onthe stone on the other side of the pit to be pulled across.

    Once on the other side, go up the steps out of the cave. Next, go right andup to the next screen and walk right into the keyhole to use the Face Key tounlock the shrine! Now, go back down to the previous screen and up the steps.Then, go up and walk inside the Face Shrine (Level 6).

    Face Shrine

    -----------

    From the start of the dungeon, go up around the statues, then left into thenext room. In this room, just run through and take the left path up to thefollowing room. Here, defeat the Mini Moldorm if you want while avoiding theSpark moving around the room, otherwise continue upward to the next area.There, simply go left into the next room and defeat the Mask-Mimic there.

    Now, place a Bomb next to the crystal switch, and then stand behind thepresently lowered block in the upper-right corner. When the bomb explodes and

    that block raises up, go up to the next room. In this room, place a Bomb infront of the right wall in between the lights to blow open a passageway. Takeit into the next room. Here, sprinkle Magic Powder in a lantern to illuminatethe room, then go around and kill all the Gels that pop out of the ground.

    After they are all killed, a stairway will appear; go down it. In thebasement, go left and up the ladder and continue left through the next scene,then up the last ladder to the next area. In the room you emerge in, defeatthe Mini Moldorm. Then, wait until the Wizzrobes appear and use the ExplodingArrows trick (Secrets section of this guide) to defeat them both quickly.When the door opens, go through to the next room.

    In this room, go up the left steps and open the chest to get the Level 2Power Bracelet, which replaces your first one! Next, use the Bracelet to liftup the giant statues, then go up through the one-way door. In this room,defeat the Mask-Mimic again and hit the crystal switch with your sword. Now,place a bomb by the switch and stand behind the upper-left lowered block andwait. When the bomb explodes and the blocks rise and fall go up to the nextroom. Then in that room, lift up the pot in the corner to reveal a switchunderneath it. Stand on it to open the west door, then go through to thefollowing room.

    In here, use the Exploding Arrows trick again to beat the Wizzrobes withouthitting the crystal switch in the corner). Open the chest that appears to get

    a Map, then go up to the next room. Now, take a pot to the right and throw itat the closed door to open it! Go up into the next room, then from therecontinue right to another room. In this room, defeat the Star and open thechest to get the Compass, then go up the steps and hit the crystal switch tothe left.

    Now, go right and down to the next room, then go right through a couple morerooms until you can go up. In the room with the many lowered blocks, defeatthe Wizzrobes to make a Key appear. Take it, and then backtrack a few roomsback to the room where you found the Compass. From there, go left to the nextroom and take a large statue with the Power Bracelet and throw it at thenorth door to open it. Go into that room. There, go up the steps and open thechest to get 100 rupees, then go up the steps behind it to go outside where

    you'll be on an island in the middle of the rapids! Open the chest to get aSeashell, then go back down into the dungeon.

    Once inside, play Manbo's Mambo on the Ocarina to be warped to the dungeon'sentrance. Now, go right to the next room instead of left. Here, just get pastthe large statues and conveyor belt floors while avoiding the Blade Traps!Then, go right to the following room. In that room, avoid all the FlyingTiles that'll uproot from the floor, then go through the door after it opensto enter the next room.

    In the next room, take a statue and throw it at the east door to open it,then go to the next room. In that room, defeat the Wizzrobes like in otherparts of this dungeon, then go through the upper right door that opens after

    you beat them. In this room, go up and down the steps, and then go north tothe next room. Continue through the next room to the room after it; open thechest in that room to get a Key.

    Now, backtrack a few rooms to the room with a locked door. There, go up anduse a Key on the locked door and go into the next room. There, defeat theGels and their smaller counterparts while avoiding the torches' fireballs.Then, use a bomb in the middle of the north wall to blow a hole in it. Gothrough the hole into the next room, where you'll have to fight Smasher!Throw the orb at it numerous times to defeat it.

    After you beat it, take the Fairy and go up to the next room. In this room,lift up the large statue to the left and go down the steps there. Here, jumpfrom platform to platform and go left to the next area. Then, jump fromladder to ladder and go up the last one to the room above. There, evade allthe Flying Tiles, but be careful because there will be many holes in thefloor!

    Take the Key after the tiles are gone, then get to the upper corner of theroom and unlock the keyhole block, the go up to the next room. Here, go upand lift up the large statue, then throw it at the door to the left, thencontinue to the next room. In that room, lift up and throw away all the pots,then throw around the horseheads until they both stand up and the doors open.Go left into the next room; go down the steps in that room to the basementagain.

    Use the Pegasus Boots to run all the way to the right to the other ladder soyou don't get crushed by any Thwomps! Climb the ladder to enter the nextroom. In that room, play the song Marin taught you on the Ocarina toinstantly kill all the Pols Voices and open the doors! Go down to the nextroom where you'll fight 2 Dodongo Snakes! Feed the, bombs until they'redefeated, and then go left to the next room. In this room, use the Hookshotto cross the gap, then use the Key on the keyhole block, and then continueleft and up to the next room.

    Continue up to the following room, then in that room, take a pot and throw itat the chest to open it to get the Nightmare Key! Now, play Manbo's Mambo toget to the entrance, then walk through the warp to get to where you beatSmasher. From there, go up to the next room and lift up the left statue toreveal the stairs again.

    Go down the steps and get through the basement like before, then climb theladder at the end to enter the next room. There, get across the floor beforethe tiles rise and go down into the next room. Try and get around the roomwhen the Vacuum Mouth isn't going and defeat all the Gels. After you beatthem, go right into the next room. In this room, push the block next to thewall forward, and then defeat the Wizzrobe. Now, go back left and use the

    Hookshot to grab onto the block with a ledge in front of it.

    When you reach the other side, push the block up and go into the followingroom. Here, sprinkle Magic Powder in the unlit lanterns to turn the Sparksinto Fairies. Then, unlock the door with the Nightmare Key and go into theroom to meet Fa?ade! When it first appears, the room will shake and the tilesand pots will all fly towards you. Avoid them and the real fight will begin!Read the Bosses section of this guide for information on beating Fa?ade.

    After you beat it, take the Heart Container and enter the last room to obtainthe Coral Triangle!

    Ukuku Prairie

    -------------

    When you're back outside again, go down the steps to the next screen. The owlwill appear here and warn you that the monsters fear that the Wind Fish isgoing to awaken, so they're getting more powerful to prevent that! After youlisten to the owl and it leaves, continue down and jump off the ledge intothe water. Then, swim left to the next screen. There, swim up to and walk upthe steps out of the water. Next, go left to the next screen, and continuethrough it to the following screen.

    Here, go up to the next scene, then go left. Then, go down to the next screenand up the steps to the higher ledge. Walk left to the next scene and go downthe steps on the other side, then go up to the following screen. Follow thepath left, then down, then left again; you should now be in the scene withthe warp. Now, go left yet another screen, then down 2 screens. You shouldsee a large pit. Use the Pegasus Boots combined with Roc's Feather to jumpover it. Go up to the nearby sign and press A; it'll tell you to go down. So,follow it down into the Signpost Maze.

    Signpost Maze-------------

    Since it takes a little while to navigate through the Signpost Maze, pleaseconsult my Signpost Maze Map, found at GameFAQs, to get through this area.Here is a link to said map:

    After you get to the last sign and press A, a staircase will appear nearby.Take it into an underground chamber, and walk towards the large frog namedMamu (it resembles Wart from SMB2 for those of you who remember). It'll starttalking to you and offer to play its song only if you pay it 300 rupees! Payit, listen to the song, then after it's finished, you'll learn the Frog'sSong of Soul (the third song on your Ocarina)! Then, go back up the steps to

    the outside.

    Now, go up 2 screens to the scene with the large pit. Jump over it likebefore, then continue up to the following screen. Lift up the stones, thencut down the bushes and go left back into Mabe Village.

    Mabe Village------------

    Go left to the scene with the Flying Rooster statue and stand in front of it.Then, walk straight up into it and it'll move, revealing a secret staircase!Go down the steps, then go up to the next part of the cave and go up thesteps. Then, stand in front of the pile of bones and play the Frog's Song of

    Soul on the Ocarina. It'll revive the dead flying rooster from its bones!

    Now that you have the bird, walk back down and go up the steps out of thepassageway. Back outside, play Manbo's Mambo on the Ocarina to warp up toManbo's Pond, which just saved you a few minutes of walking all the way upthere!

    Eastern Tal Tal Mountains-------------------------

    Now, walk out of the pond and go right to the next screen. Then, lift up thestone blocking your path, and then continue up approximately 2 screens. Next,Go left 2 screens and defeat the 2 swordless Pig Warriors, then lift up the

    stones and go up and right to the next screen. Continue right 2 more screens,and then go up the steps on that screen to the following screen. Here, theowl will appear again and remind you to head east. After it flies away, liftup the stones in the way and enter the cave.

    Inside, go up and right while defeating the Hardhat Beetle and Keese alongthe way. In the second half of that room, defeat some Gels and push the largestones around to make a path to the steps. Then, go down the steps to thenext room. Here, continue right and defeat more Keese and Gels then go up thesteps at the end to the upper level again. Then, just go right and down then

    dash through the crystal structures with the boots and sword. Then, exitthrough the doorway at the end.

    Now, go right to the next screen, then go down the steps and continue rightuntil you reach the long stairway heading upward. When you get there, go upthe long set of steps, then go left across the bridge and continue foranother couple screens and you'll see a cave; go inside the cave.

    In the cave, go up and left into the next room. Then, get to the lower-leftcorner of the room, and then pick up the Rooster with the Power Bracelet andfly up and right over the pits. Now, push the button that the bracelet isassigned to again to drop back down and go up to the following room. Here,use the rooster again to fly over the large gap, then land on the small ledgeand go left to the next room. Here, fly or jump over the small pit and go upthe steps and claim the Bird Key!

    Now, backtrack out of the cave the same way you entered and go right a couplescreens across the bridge. Then, go down the long set of stairs and continueswimming right to the next screen. Here, enter the cave you see. Inside thiscave, go up and right while either avoiding or defeating the Sharks, thencontinue right to the following room. Next, continue right and out of thecave, then go right to the next screen and enter that cave.

    Inside, go up and right. Defeat all Gels and Keese along the way then

    continue right and down out of the cave. Once outside again, go left andenter the next cave. Here, go right and down the steps, then jump over thepit and go up the steps and continue right. Go right and down and defeat theGels while trying your best to avoid the Hardhat Beetle, the go down to thenext room. Use the Hookshot on the rock on the other side of the gap to getacross, then go down and drop off the ledge and exit the cave.

    Now, go slightly right and up into another cave! Here, go up and defeat theGels, then go up the steps in the second room. Next, knock the Hardhat Beetleinto the pit, then go down and left and out of the cave. Now, go left to thenext screen and lift up the stone directly in front of the keyhole. Then,walk into the keyhole to use the key and activate the tower. When it'sfinished rotating and the entrance appears, go up the steps and into the

    Eagle's Tower!

    Eagle's Tower-------------

    From the start, go right to the next room. When you enter the room, activatethe Blade Trap and step back so it doesn't hit you, then walk forward when itretracts. Use the feather to jump over the spikes, then continue straightright along the path, then jump more spikes and dodge the trap, and thenenter the next room. Here, defeat the 2 Like Likes to make a Key appear. Takeit and unlock the door, then go up into the next room. Then, just go straightforward and up the steps to the second floor.

    In this room, go up into the following room. Walk up the steps and use thePower Bracelet to lift up the orb. Instead of tapping the button you equippedthe bracelet with, keep it pressed in even after you're holding the orb. Now,go back down the steps and go to the lever to the right. Walk up to it and gobackwards to pull it while holding the orb to make the blocks blocking thedoorway move. Pull it until you can't any more, then quickly go left and tothe next room.

    Here, throw the orb at the first pillar and defeat the Gels that pop out ofthe floor. Then, get next to the right wall and walk straight down, and then

    throw the orb to the other side of the barrier. Next, go around the barrierand stand in between where the 2 gaps meet, then jump diagonally down andright to the ledge with the orb, then pick it up and go to the next room.Here, throw the orb downward into the spikes, and then jump over the smallpit.

    Put on the Power Bracelet and walk into the spikes and quickly take the orband get out of the spikes! Then, throw the orb at the second pillar, thenpick it up again and go down to the next room. Here, hit the crystal switch,and then throw the orb over the barrier. Now, play Manbo's Mambo on theOcarina to warp to the dungeon's entrance, then go right a couple rooms, thenup one. Go up the steps into the room on the second floor and open the nowaccessible chest to get the Mirror Shield! Now, go down and right and whilestanding on a lowered block, hit the crystal switch to raise them. Then, walkdown to the next room. There, just go down and left to the following room.

    In that room, defeat the Gels, then shoot an arrow at the crystal switch toactivate it. Next, go up the stairs to the 3rd floor. Here, just take thepath up to the next room, and then follow the path up and right into thefollowing room. In this room, you'll have to beat the Grim Creeper mini-boss.Simply defeat the 6 Big Keese he summons and you'll beat him and make thewarp appear.

    Now, go right and up to the next room. Here, push the 2 blocks in the middle

    of the room together (be careful on pushing the block to the right so theSpark doesn't hurt you) to make a chest appear. Open it to get the NightmareKey. Now, backtrack a bunch of rooms all the way back downstairs to the roomwhere you left the orb. Pick up the orb and go left to the next room. Here,drop the orb and beat the Three-of-a-Kinds to make a chest appear.

    Pick up the orb and continue to the next room. Throw the orb on the groundand fight the Hinox, then after you beat it, take the Key that appears, aswell as the Fairy and the orb and go up to the next room. Here, just go upand through the one-way door into the next room. Here, throw the orb to theright corner and defeat the Anti-Fairy with a sprinkle of Magic Powder, thenwatch out for the flying tiles and the pits they make.

    After all the tiles are destroyed, jump over the pits and pick up the orb,then go right into the next room. Here, throw the orb at the third pillar.Then, push the block to the right into the pit and throw the orb across tothe other side. Now, look at the south wall and you'll see 2 torches and partof the wall in between them; place a bomb there. When it explodes, go throughthe passage to the next room. Go straight down and do the same for the nextwall. Then, go down into the next room.

    Here, use the Hookshot to hook onto the chest that appeared on the other sideof the narrow gap, then open it to get ONE Bomb. Then, drop down the pit(don't worry; you won't get hurt) and you'll land on the floor below. Whenyou land, head right through 2 rooms and up one, then go up the steps to thenext floor. Here, go up to the next room with the lever. Pull it with the

    bracelet and run left to the next room.

    Then, go down and jump over the part where the 2 pits meet, then go down 2more rooms to the room with the crystal switch. Hit the switch with yoursword, then go back up to the previous room and take the left path up to thefollowing room. Here, push the block up and go left into the next room. Pickup the orb and go back right and push the block out of the way. Then, go down2 rooms and throw the orb over the barrier again. Now, play Manbo's Mambo towarp to the entrance of the tower, then step into the warp to get to thethird floor.

    Then, go left and follow the path left and down to the next room and go downthe steps there. In the next room, pick up the orb yet again and carry itleft to the following room. There, throw it up across the narrow pit. Then,continue to the next room. Continue up through the next couple rooms, andavoid the tiles in the second room. Then, go right and down through thepassages, then use the Hookshot to cross the narrow gap again.

    Next, pick up the orb with the bracelet and go up to the next room. There,throw it at the final pillar and you'll see a scene with the top floorcollapsing onto the tower's third floor. Now, play Manbo's Mambo and whenyou're back at the entrance, walk into the warp to be brought up to the thirdfloor. Go left into the new room and continue left to the following room.

    In this room, defeat the 3 Goombas and open the Nightmare door with theNightmare Key and go up into that room. Defeat a couple more Goombas, then goup the steps. Then, use the Hookshot on the block on the other ledge to getacross, then defeat the Goomba and go down to the next room. Here, just goright into the following room and up the stairs to get outside. Then, climbthe ladder up to the top of the tower and you'll meet the Evil Eagle, pilotedby the Grim Creeper!

    Read the Bosses section of this guide for information on defeating EvilEagle. After you beat it, take the Heart Container and climb back down the

    ladder and go back inside. Now, drop down to the lower ledge to the right andinto the now open room to claim the Organ of Evening Calm!

    Eastern Tal Tal Mountains-------------------------

    Now that you're outside of the Eagle's Tower, which you just beat, walkstraight down and fall off the edge of the cliff. You'll fall into a pit onthe next screen, then land in an area of deep water at the bottom of themountain range. Swim out of the cave and go down one screen, then go up thesteps onto the dry land. Next, go left to the next screen, and then continuewest all the way until you see another set of steps going upward.

    Go up those steps when you reach them, then go right and lift up the stonewith the Power Bracelet. Then, defeat the Pig Warriors there and go up andleft to the following screen. Next, go up the steps in this scene to the nextscreen. Now, lift up the stones there and enter the cave. Inside the cave, goup and right and defeat the Keese and knock the Hardhat Beetle into the pit,then go right to the next part of the room.

    There, push the stones around so you can get to the steps, then go down themto get into the next room. In this room, go right and defeat the Gels andKeese along the way then go up the steps at the end. Go right to the nextroom, then equip the Pegasus Boots and dash through the crystal things. Then,go down and out of the cave through the second exit like you've done on theway to Eagle's Tower.

    Back outside, go right to the next screen and go down the steps. Next, goright 3 screens to the area of deep water. Go into the water and go up thelong set of steps to the following screen. Then, go left 2 screens across thebridge, then up the steps on the second screen. Now, continue left to thebroken bridge. Use the Hookshot on the rock on the other side to be pulledover, then go to the next screen. Here, you'll find Marin on a bridge planktrapped there. Walk towards the edge and she'll tell you monsters trapped herthere and she's scared of heights. Help her by standing on the upper sectionof the bridge and use the Hookshot on the rock on the other side; you'll grab

    Marin as you pass her.

    When you reach the other side, Marin will thank you and start to tell yousomething, but Tarin comes and ruins it! He'll call to her, then Marin willleave and the owl will fly in. It'll tell you about Marin singing the Balladof the Wind Fish in front of the egg, then it'll let you know that the finalinstrument is to the west. After it flies away, go left to the next screenand cut down the bush and go down the steps that are revealed.

    Inside the cave, drop off the ledge and go left to the next room. Drop downto the lower area and go down the steps. In this room, simply go left to thenext room where you'll find another large pit. Use the Hookshot on the rockon the other side to cross over the pit. Then, continue left to the nextroom, where you can defeat a couple of Keese and exit the cave, which willleave you in what is considered the Western Tal Tal Mountains.

    Western Tal Tal Mountains-------------------------

    Now that you're in the western half of the mountain range, you're now goingto deal with falling boulders, which shouldn't present a problem for you!Anyway, go left to the next screen while avoiding the boulders from above.Defeat a Mini Moldorm and go up the steps while avoiding the boulders, thencontinue right to the next screen. Here, avoid the boulders again and go

    right and up the steps to the next screen. There, just go left to thefollowing screen. Here, defeat another Mini Moldorm and open the chest to get50 rupees.

    Then, continue left across the bridge to the next screen. Drop off the ledgeto the next screen, then go down and left and defeat the Like Like andShrouded Stalfos. Then, go up to the crack in the wall and place a Bombthere; when it explodes and reveals a cave, go inside it. Inside the cave, goup to the next screen. Then, equip the Mirror Shield and hold it in front ofyou, then walk upward into the flames. The shield will reflect the flames soyou can pass!

    When you have enough room, go left and up the steps out of the cave. Outside,

    defeat the Leever that appears in front of you, and then go left to the nextscreen. Go south to the screen below, and then go left to the followingscreen. Defeat the Like Like and a couple of Leevers, then continue left tothe next screen. Defeat the Moblin and continue left once again and you'llsee the Turtle Rock. Defeat the Crows sitting on its stone claws, and thenstand in front of the head. Play the Frog's Song of Soul (#3 on the Ocarina)and it'll make the turtle's head come to life! When it extends its head, justhit it repeatedly with your sword to destroy it. When it disappears, go upand enter Turtle Rock, the final dungeon before the Egg.

    Turtle Rock-----------

    From where you begin, go straight up the hall to the following room. Here,shoot arrows at the Winged Demon to defeat it and open the locked doors, andthen go left into the next room. In this room, defeat the Snake Ropes whileavoiding the laser eye that shoots lasers at you. Then, go up through the nowopen door into the next room. Defeat the Hinox in this room like you havemany times in the past dungeons, then take the small Fairy that appears andgo left into the next room.

    In this room, you'll see a weird block in front of you; walk into it to getit moving. Let it go all the way left, then down until it stops, then walk

    along the path down into the next room. Here, jump over the small gap andavoid the Sparks, then open the chest to get 50 rupees. Now, jump back overthe gap and go left into the following room, where you'll fight the RollingBones mini-boss. Defeat it by jumping over the spiked log it pushes towardsyou then hit it repeatedly with your sword.

    After it's defeated and the doors open, go up into the next room. Use yourbow and arrows here to defeat the Winged Demon flying around, then take theKey that falls from above. Now, play Manbo's Mambo to warp to the entrance ofTurtle Rock. When you arrive there, go up to the following room and jump overto the platform almost completely surrounded by lava, then go up to the nextroom.

    Here, simply go right to the next room and you'll find another of thoseblocks that create tiles as it moves. Stand right behind it and push it tomove, then let it go to the other side and stop. Then, walk across the newpath and jump over the lava to the ledge to the left, then go up to the nextroom. Here, go left to the connecting room and go down the steps there intothe basement. There, jump from ledge to ledge to the other side of thescreen. Be sure to jump when the fireballs aren't coming up out of the lava;one way to avoid them is to jump as they drop into the lava again.

    In the next area of this basement floor, jump and grab onto the small ladder,then go right along them while avoiding the Podoboos that come from the lava

    below. Climb the ladder at the end to enter the room above. There, lift upthe pots throughout the room and throw them at the snake enemies. If you misswith the pots, just attack them with the sword. Open the chest in the room toget the Stone Beak, then go up to the next room.

    Here, you'll have to fight the mini-boss, Smasher. Defeat it by throwing theorb it throws around back at it. Repeat that process until it's defeated,then take the Fairy that appears and go left into the next room. Here, you'llfind another one of those tile-making blocks and you have to push it aroundso it covers up ALL the gaps in the floor.

    Do that by pushing it left to start it up, then move it left 2 screens, thengo up 1, left 1, up 1, left 1, up 1, left 2, down 1, right 2. Go down 1,

    right 1, down 1, right 1, down 1, right 1, down 1, right 1, up 1, right 1,down 1, and right 1. A Key will appear; take it.

    Now, play Manbo's Mambo to return to the dungeon's entrance. When you getthere, go up to the next room and jump over the lava area, then continue upto the following room. Go right to the area with the tile-making block. Pushthat block upward to make it go, then let it go up 3 squares. Then, make itgo right 2 squares, then make it go up one and it'll stop. Now, walk alongthis path you made. When you get to the blocks, push the one to the rightinto the lava, then continue up to the next room.

    Here, go up and use a Key on the keyhole block, then go right to the nextroom. Go right through this room and avoid the Winged Demon, then unlock the

    door with your Key and go int
