2.1.2 System Component Inspection
(1) Visual Inspection of Construction
a. Checking External Dimensions
Measure the major outside dimensions and check that they are as shown in the general specifications
(publication number GS 32S06D10-01E). Dimension-tolerances are in accordance with the following
table:
Normal tolerance of outside dimensions for system products (Unit: mm)
Range of Basis Dimensions
Min. Max.
0.5 120 0.8 1.5
120 400 2 3
400 1000 2 4 4
1000 2000 3 6 6
2000 4000 4 8 8
4000 8000 10
CombinedTolerance (*1)
Panel WidthTolerance
Tolerance
(*1) Indicates the measurements and combined tolerance of front door and rear door or each surface.
Remarks The tolerance in this table for measurements are over 120 mm and up to 8000 mm refer to
JEM1459 “Power Distribution Panels, Control Panels, Construction and Dimensions”.
b. Visual Inspection
Check paint color. Also check for external defects such as deformation, flaws and stains. Check the
component, domain and station numbers to see that they agree with those described on the manufactur-
ing specification sheets.
2.2 Standard Function Inspection
2.2.1 V net Communication Check
Check that each side redundant of V net performs communication function.2.2.2 CPU START/STOP Check
Pressing the START/STOP button on the CPU front plate alternately, and check that the “HRDY” indicator
lamp turns OFF and then ON repeatedly.
2.2.3 Duplexed Section Inspection (Perform each check for duplexed types)
(1) Turn OFF the power module when the other power supply is ON (use only one power supply at a time)
and check that the processor module is under normal state.
(2) Check that either of the right-side or left-side processor gains control alternately.
(3) Check that each side bus of V net performs communication function.
2.2.4 I/O Modules Interface Check
Check that Input/Output Modules performs interface function.2.2.5 Fan unit Check
Confirm both of the left and right fans are properly functioning.
2.3 Optional Specifications Function Inspection
2.3.1 IRIG Interface Check
Generate a pulse signal and insert it into IRIG interface and then confirm that the IRIG interface is properly
functioning.
