PRESENTAZIONEL'inglese resterà per i prossimi anni certamente la lingua del business, anzi, rafforzerà ilsuo ruolo di mezzo di comunicazione in tutto il mondo e in tutti gli ambiti.La dimostrazione di un buon livello di cultura e di apertura al mondo sta diventandoun'abilità che viene richiesta, almeno nelle imprese, a tutti a tutti i livelli.

Il percorso «HOW TO…» supporta coloro che operano in ambito internazionale e chenecessitano non solo di conoscere la lingua inglese, ma di saperla utilizzareefficacemente in differenti contesti.

Si tratta di un percorso di 9 incontri in un anno (indicativamente 1 al mese) cheprevedono lo studio e la simulazione di specifiche situazioni che possono caratterizzareil contesto lavorativo in ambito internazionale.

Si studiando frasi e modi di dire tipici di una specifica situazione. I partecipanti verrannopoi invitati a simulare un contesto simile a quello studiato per poter applicare,immediatamente e in un contesto protetto, i contenuti appresi.

OBIETTIVI E DESTINATARIIl percorso «HOW TO…» si prefigge di trasmettere aipartecipanti, attraverso la pratica e l’esperienza diretta,le tecniche e i trucchi per comunicare in ambitointernazionale, in differenti situazioni.

Benessere psicofisicoIl corso si rivolge a imprenditori, manager eresponsabili, e chiunque per esigenze personali oprofessionali abbiano la necessità di migliorare le lorocompetenze di comunicazione in ambitointernazionale.

CONTENUTI

Il corso ha una durata complessiva di 9 incontri di 3 ore ciascuno. Prevede lezioniin aula, simulazioni e lavori di gruppo svolti in modalità esperienziale. Tuttal’attività sarà svolta in Inglese e gli interessati potranno effettuare un test gratuitoper verificare il livello di inglese necessario per la partecipazione al percorso.

Meeting 1 : Introducing yourself, Breaking the ice & Team buildingSocialising techniques: small talk, body language. The importance ofcommunicating both inside and outside working hours.

Meeting 2 : Welcome a Client & Small TalkStudents will have the opportunity to learn how to welcome clients and visitorsand how to entertain them. These lessons want to highlight the potentiality of anactive participatory teaching method with the intent of recreating "real lifesituation" through role plays and games.

Meeting 3 : Conduct a business meetingWe will focus on the key requirements including setting up the meeting with cleargoals and objectives, how to manage the meeting itself to a successful conclusionand then ensure that these conclusions are achieved. Key words, role play andactive participation will be encouraged throughout the workshop.

Meeting 4: Present a product/projectWhile there are diverse styles and presentation layouts which are more or lessappropriate in specific situations or settings, one can safely state that there tendsto be a big difference between Italian and English or American presentations. Byidentifying the key practical as well as psychological needs that the audience isexpecting or willing to satisfy and utilizing a series of research-based techniques,course-participants will be able to boost and enhance their personal presentingstyles. The most common phrases and expressions will be discussed, but creativeusage of the language will also play a major role in the development of effectivepresentations. Role-plays and simulations wil engage every student in a fun yetinformative learning environment.

Meeting 5: Describe market/economic trendsAs a group we will look at "real" companies operating in various market sectorsfor example Red Bull, Apple, Google and Zara. We will learn how to interpret anddescribe pie charts, bar charts and histograms etc

Meeting 6: NegotiateUnderstanding the other party's needs and claims is the first step in the processof settling differences and reaching a deal (sometimes a.k.a. 'contract'). Theability to understand another person's intentions and express one's desires whilenot sounding authoritarian, aggressive or untrustworthy is not merelypsychological, though. Mainly, it is a linguistic skill. As such, it can be developedthrough the acquisition of a series of sociolinguistic tools (phrases, words, syntaxand even paraphonics, i.e. pronunciation and melodic patterns) which will enablethe students to better deal with transactions and negotiations, valuing the otherparty's needs while at the same time maintaining assertiveness.

Meeting 7: Dragon's DenHow to set up a company; Establish your product in the market place and buildyour brand.

Meeting 8: Customer CareStudents will have the opportunity to learn how to welcome clients and visitors,entertain them and meet their needs learning how to respond to complaints.These lessons want to highlight the potentiality of an active participatory teachingmethod with the intent of recreating "real life situation" through role plays andgames.

Meeting 9: Business LunchA Christmas food and drink conversation would be appropriate for alunch. Discussing the different traditions we have at Christmas and otherfestivities (Easter/Thanksgiving etc). Relevant table games: quizzes etc.
