Lunar New Year’s Day is the biggest holiday in Korea and is

called “Seol” or “Seolnal”. “Seol” means “to be careful” or “unfamilliar”

Things we do in Seolnal

Whole family members gather together and do the offering to ancestors. (Chare) Wake up early and take a bath and put the “solbim” on. “solbim” are new clothes.Play traditional games like Yutnori, Jegichagi, Tuho, Kite flying, etc.

Pile the coins and tape them togetherGrab a cut piece of plastic bag and roll the coin insideHold the coin inside the plastic bag and tie it using a rubber bandCut and decorate the paper, be careful not to cut too close to the washer
