GRAMMAR Verb "going to"

Time expressions - Les expressions que s'utilitzen per acompanyar aquest verb fan referència al

futur. Així doncs, podem veure les següents paraules al costat del verb "going to":

- tomorrow (demà), tomorrow morning, evening, night …

- soon (aviat)

- later (més tard)

- next week / month / year (la propera setmana / mes / any)

- this Sunday / weekend / year / month / week (aquest diumenge, cap de

setmana, any, mes, setmana)

Form - La forma del verb en afirmatiu requereix tenir en compte tres punts bàsics:

Subject + "present of to be" + "going to" + infinitive of the main verb

The students + are + going to + write a letter

Use Aquest verb es fa servir per intencions i plans per al futur Example: - I am going to travel around the world next year.

- David isn't going to meet his friends later.

ARTICLES Definite and indefinite articles

- The is the definite article in English.

- Es fa servir davant de substantius tant en singular com en plural.

-singular : The chair is next to the table (la cadira està al costat de la taula)

- plural : The chairs are new (les cadires són noves)

- A / an is the indefinite article in English .

- Es fa servir davant de substantius comptables en singular: a pen, a book (davant de noms que comencen amb consonant)

an orange, an apple (davant de noms que comencen amb vocal)

- En plural no s'usa a / an : - a house some houses

- an elephant three elephants

- En anglès s'ometen els articles quan es parla de coses d'una manera general:

- Water is good for you (l'aigua és bona per a tu)
