•Direct แปลวา ตรง•Direct Speech คอ การยกคำาพดจรงๆของผพดทงหมดมาเลาใหฟงโดยไมเปลยนแปลง

Direct Speech•Direct Speech ทำาไดโดย  โดยอาศยการนำาคำาพดนนมาไวอยในเครองหมายคำาพด (Quotation Marks (“…”)) โดยม comma (,) คนกลางระหวางประโยคทยกมาพดถง และ ประโยคหลก โดยประธานทอยในเครองหมายคำาพดจะตองเปนตวใหญเสมอ เชน•He said, “I will clean the house.”

Indirect Speech

•Indirect Speech (Reported Speech) คอ การนำาคำาพดมารายงานใหผอนฟง หรอ การดดแปลงคำาพดมาใหเปนคำาพดของผเลานนเอง เชน•    He said that he would clean the house.

การเปลยน Direct เปน Indirect

Direct - He said, “I have got a toothache”.

Indirect - He said that he had got a toothache.
