Graduate Attributes and Professional Competency Profiles

Purpose of Graduate Attributes

Graduate Attributes:

Set of individually assessable outcomes that are the components indicative of the graduate's potential to acquire competence to practice at the appropriate level

Purpose of Graduate Attributes

Graduate attributes are defined for educational qualifications in the engineer, engineering technologist and engineering technician tracks.

The graduate attributes serve to identify the distinctive characteristics as well as areas of commonality between the expected outcomes of the different types of programmes.

Graduate Attributes

Washington Accord GraduateApply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization as specified in WK1-WK4 respectively to the solution of complex engineering problems.

Graduate Attributes

Sydney Accord GraduateApply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization as specified in SK1-SK4 respectively to defined and applied engineering procedures, processes, systems or methodologies.

Graduate Attributes

Dublin Accord GraduateApply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization as specified in DK1-DK4 respectively to wide practical procedures and practices.
