PREFACE
Purpose: This training support package provides the instructor with a standardized lesson plan for presenting instruction for:
Task number: 015-198-3018
Task title: Supervise Installation Of An Overhead Cable Anchorage System
Conditions: In a classroom or at a float bridge site, given ferry reconnaissancedata information, TC-5-210, ribbon bridge supplementary set, bridgeerection boats, and personnel.
Standard: Supervised the organization of the construction crews and theinstallation of an overhead anchorage system with towers that willsupport the ribbon bridge without causing injury to self, personnel, or damage to equipment.
Task number: 052-198-3075
Task title: Direct Assembly Of A Ribbon Bridge
Conditions: At a designated float bridge site, given ribbon bridge bays and bridgeerection boats on transporters, mission directive to construct a fullclosure, and personnel.
Standard: Directed assembly of a ribbon bridge for complete gap closure,within the time limit specified for given bridge design, usingsequential steps without causing injury to self, personnel, or damageto equipment and degradation to the environment.

Task title: Supervise Float Bridge Maintenance
Conditions: Given a designated bridge site, TM 5-5420-209-12, TM 5-1940-277-10, TM 5-5420-272-10, DA form 2404 or DA form 5988-E, ribbonbridge bays, bridge transporters, bridge erection boats, andpersonnel.
Standard: Supervised float bridge maintenance, verifying that the preventivemaintenance checks and services are conducted by the operator and the squad leader. Comparing the PMCS with establishedstandards through examination, identifying deficiencies, initiatingappropriate actions to correct faults and forward non-repairs toauthorized level of maintenance.

Task title: Direct Assembly Of A Ribbon Bridge Raft
Conditions: At a designated float bridge site, given 2 ribbon bridge ramps, 4ribbon bridge interior bays and the required bridge erection boats ontransporters, mission directive to construct a ribbon raft, andpersonnel.
Standard: Direcedt the assembly of a ribbon raft, for given raft design,using sequential steps without causing injury to self, personnel, or damage to equipment and degradation to the environment.

Conditions: In a classroom or at a designated raft site, given a 6 float ribbon raftin the water, the required bridge erection boats in the water,personnel, and a mission directive to raft equipment during a hasty
river crossing.Standard: Directed rafting operations as a raft commander for the given raft
design determining load space, rafting method, the number of boatsrequired, and classification for the type of raft utilized, withoutcausing injury to self, personnel, or damage to equipment anddegradation to the environment.

A 30 minute After action Review will be conducted after the examination.
NOTE: Include this information also in the Student Evaluation Plan which documents coursegraduation requirements. The using school assigns course weight to the evaluation.
NOTE: Rapid, immediate feedback is essential to effective learning. Schedule and providefeedback on the evaluation and any information to help answer student’s questions aboutthe test. Provide remedial training as needed.
