蘭大弼醫師是彰基醫院創辦人蘭大衛之子， 1914 年出生 於台灣彰化市出生，他與台灣小孩一樣愛布袋戲，總是打著 赤腳玩耍，他常以流利台語介紹自己：「我是英籍台灣人」 及「我是台灣囝仔」，人稱「小蘭醫師」。 從小看著父母發放奶粉給貧苦家庭、讓貧窮人家免費看 病，蘭大弼長大後也成為醫師，擔任彰基院長 28 年，直到 1980 年才退休返回英國，並婉謝彰基所發退休金，因他認為 英國的老人年金已夠他用了。在《蘭大弼醫生口述歷史》一 書中，蘭醫師說： 「在醫療執業而言，同情心是非常需要的... 也就是說，對病人個人的照顧與關懷是很重要的。醫生不應 該只是表示同情，而是要真正的同情、關心、憐憫。...你愛 你的病人就如同他是你的家人一樣。 」蘭醫師愛人如己，更 背起了他的十字架，今謹以此紀念短文向蘭大弼醫師致敬。 「於是耶穌對門徒說：若有人要跟從我，就當捨己，背 起他的十字架來跟從我。」─馬太福音 16 章 24 節 2008 倫敦光鹽團契創立 2010 倫敦光鹽月刊創刊 記得蘭醫師的愛 Remember Dr. Landsborough Welcome to Taiwanese Fellowship Monthly! Thursday Bible Study: New Season
The next Thursdays Bible Study will take place on 19th of May
and it marks the start of a new term time. For this term, we will
be watching a series of films produced by BBC-A History of
Christianity. This is presented by Diarmaid MacCulloch who is the
Professor of the History of Christianity at St Cross College Oxford
and talks about the evolution of the Christian faith and its four
main forms: Orthodoxy, Oriental Christianity, Western Catholicism
and Protestantism. We will have discussions after watching the
film. Pizza and wine are provided. John Scott will sent regular
emails to all as a reminder of this. Please watch out emails from
