　1. Introduction

JBVP Annual Meeting 2019 will be held as FASAVA-TOKYO 2019

JBVP Annual Meeting 2019 will be held at Hotel New Otani in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo as usual, but under a name of FASAVA-TOKYO 2019, from September 25 (Wed) to 29 (Sun), 2019. FASAVA (Federation of Asian Small Animal Veterinary Associations) is an international academic organization formed by participation of various veterinary organizations from Asia-Pacific nations and holds its Annual Meeting in one of the member countries each year. In 2019, Tokyo Veterinary Medical Association and JBVP, both the members representing Japan, will be cooperating to hold the Annual Meeting in Japan.

The FASAVA Annual Meeting has invited 46 internationally well-known lecturers, and 8 lecture streams each day will be provided in English for veterinarians and veterinary nurses. Simultaneous interpretation is available for half of the streams, and it is possible to attend the lectures with Japanese translation.

The JBVP Annual Meeting part under the same roof will be held as usual with Japanese speakers. As a whole, the number of lecture rooms is increased, especially with four large rooms, and the total capacity will be increased by 1 000. Furthermore, the exhibition hall will be expanded to double, and companies from abroad will also be expected to participate. Everyone will be registered as "FASAVA-TOKYO 2019”, and with this registration, you can participate in all lectures with JBVP and FASAVA and all exhibition halls.

As the result, one can enjoy the JBVP Annual Meeting as usual, but with a large number of lectures by overseas specialists, and with more selections of lectures, for the extended period than usual. Thus, the JBVP Annual Meeting 2019 will be a wonderful opportunity to enjoy an international meeting FASAVA-TOKYO right in the center of Tokyo. We hope that many veterinary practitioners who are seeking world-class continuing education will participate.

　2. About FASAVA

FASAVA arose from a realization by a core group of Asia pacific veterinarians that there was a need for an international small animal veterinary group to act as a forum for their specific regional needs.

FASAVA held our first Council meeting in Sydney in 2007 and I announced that FASAVA had been formed as a company under Australian company law.

FASAVA will give all Asian small animal veterinary associations a regional small animal meeting with sufficient size to attract world class speakers and sponsorship as well as the opportunity for regional Asian speakers to present veterinary material specific to their region. FASAVA will act as a common Asia Pacific forum for companion animal practice - to bring us all together to solve regional differences and to provide solutions to regional problems.

　5. Why Exhibit at FASAVA-TOKYO 2019?

■ Five-Day Congress Stating From Wednesday　　○ On the first day of the congress, Wednesday, September 25, we will host a welcome party. 　　　Pre-congress will also be held on Wednesday, prior to the welcome party.

■ 4 days of scientific programs, multiple Streams　　○ The length of each English lecture is 50 minutes.　　　There will be 8 English streams for each field of expertise. 　　○ The length of Japanese lecture is 70 minutes, as per previous JBVP Annual Congress. 　　○ All the delegates for FASAVA TOKYO 2019 can participate all the programs, 　　　either English or Japanese programs.　　　※ *General delegates cannot participate scientific programs.

■ The highlights of scientific programs　　○ A world class program of local and international speakers; 　　　English, Japanese and simultaneous interpreting programs.　　○ Hands-on workshops　　○ Local and international poster session　

■ Two Exhibition Halls　　○ Thanks to a lot of interest in exhibiting at FASAVA TOKYO 2019, there will be two exhibition　　　 halls this year, Fuyo and Tsuru. Both of the halls are open not only to veterinary professionals but　　　 all the delegate including pet owners.　　○ Although the hall size of Fuyo is smaller than Tsuru, large space-only booth including prime　　　 and platinum sponsors will be exhibited and meal will be served in this hall.　　○ Drinks will be served at Tsuru, where has been used as a main exhibition room at JBVP annual　　　 meeting, during breaktime.

■ Social Programs　　○ Various social programs and parties will be held during the congress duration.　　○ All the delegates and exhibitors are kindly invited to the FASAVA networking dinners, 　　　 such as Japanese Night on Friday and Gala Dinner on Saturday.　　○ Fun events for accompanying person are planned, such as Tokyo city tour and fun run.

There are several train stations near the hotel, Akasaka Mitsuke, Nagatacho, Kojimachi and Yotsuya stations. It allows visitors easy access from Tokyo station, Shinagawa station, and Haneda Airport. It also has a variety of choices of restaurants, cafes and bars, which can accommodate visitors from all over the world.
