America the BIRDifulInstructor: Houston Audubon’s Mary Anne Weber

Grades: 1–6

50 States, 50 Birds (well, not exactly since some are the same), 5 Days! Let’s Do This! Prepare for an adventure from Delaware to Hawaii as we explore these great United States and the birds that were chosen to represent them.

Basketball Instructor: Coach Josh’s Team

Grades: K–6

Your child will learn the basic fundamen-tals of the game including ball handling, proper shooting form, passing tech-niques, man to man defensive principles and much more. Our camp will have several scrimmages and miniature games with competition where they can demonstrate their fundamentals.

Beginning/Intermediate Fencing Instructor: Alliance Fencing Academy

Grades: K–6

Renowned Olympic instructor Andrey Geva and his highly trained coaching staff provide a fun and exciting setting for kids to learn the fascinating sport of competitive fencing. Basic concepts of footwork and blade work will be introduced. Equipment provided.

Beginning Golf Instructor: TGA Instructor

Grades: K–6

This camp is designed to provide a fun atmosphere for beginners to learn to play golf. Certified TGA instructors will focus on improving all aspects of each camper’s golf game through specifically designed lesson plans. Equipment provided.

Beginning TennisInstructors: Coaches Robin and Lucy

Grades: Pre-K–6

Campers learn to hold and swing a racket, hit balls and use proper stance for strokes. They also develop balance, coordination, agility, quick reactions and speed. Added benefits are learning to follow directions, developing focus, and overall athletic ability. Equipment included.

Chess Instructor: USA Chess Certified

Grades: 1–6

Campers experience chess instruction and play in a fun environment designed to improve their skills, whether they are interested in casual or competitive chess. Equipment provided.

Computer Building with Piper, Raspberry Pi and MinecraftInstructor: Engineering for Kids

Grades: 3–6

The computer that prepares kids for a lifetime of building technology. As kids build Piper and progress through the games, they develop both technical skills and approaches that lead to inventive solutions. Engineering for Kids will coach you through this learning system which teaches kids engineering and programming through a combination of engaging storyline, physical building, and Raspberry Pi Edition of Minecraft.

Culinary Chemistry Instructor: Camp Einstein

Grades: 1–6

Students will develop their taste buds and minds in this hands-on class all about gastronomy, the art and science of cooking! We will investigate the physical and chemical transformations of ingredients that occur when we cook! Students will travel the globe exploring new cultures and recreate their yummy cuisines.

Da’Vinci’s Designs & RoboticsInstructor: Engineering for Kids

Grades: 3–6

During the Da’Vinci’s Designs & Robotics camp, students will use LEGO MIND-STORMS to find viable solutions to some of the same challenges that Leonardo da Vinci was once faced with. These “ancient” real-word problems include making a mobile bridge, the perfect siege machine, and yes, even creating a masterpiece of art like the Mona Lisa.

Drones CampInstructor: Engineering for Kids

Grades: 3-6

Housing a thrilling, hands-on aerial ro-botics platform, this camp is the perfect introduction to the world of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In this indoor camp, safety is a priority as students learn to fly and explore the real-world applications of drones. Campers go through Droneology, the online drone education platform, master basic pilot-ing skills, construct an obstacle course to fly through and stage a final race to showcase their cumulative knowledge.

Elementary Junior AthletesInstructor: Coach Josh’s Team

Grades: 1–6

The class will focus on teaching/improv-ing the fundamentals and mechanics of four major sports: flag football, basketball, baseball, and soccer. Other fun fitness activities like bowling, relay races, capture the flag, etc., will also be included. During the course of this class, students will get to enhance their skills to another level through competitive fun scrimmages and drills. The program works towards improving hand-eye coordination, balance, speed, and agility.

Engineering Inventions & InnovationsInstructor: Camp Einstein

Grades: 1–6

This class is all about exploring and un-derstanding how things work. Students form questions, collect data, observe details, and develop an explanation for how their inventions work. We will discover how Edison perfected the light bulb and construct a radio that Tesla would be proud of! We will also ticker with toys and invent some of our own!

Exploring Basic Coding, Jr. / Exploring Basic Coding Instructor: Coder Kids

Grades: Pre-K–1 / K–2

Even the youngest coders can learn the fundamentals and mindset behind computer programming. Students will work on projects using Scratch Jr. and use games and apps to learn logic, sequence, and debugging. No prior coding experience is required.

Game On! Code Your Own Roblox GamesInstructor: Engineering for Kids

Grades: 3–6

Dive into the endless world of Roblox and create your own games! Roblox is one of the fastest-growing game cre-ation platforms on the planet, with more than 60 million players per month and top developers making over $1 million a year. Learn how to use Roblox Studio to create your own 3D worlds and then use LUA to code game mechanics.

Glazed Over Instructor: Glazed Over Pottery’s Miss Cherie

Grades: K–6

Bring out inner creativity and imagi-nation during Glazed Over’s art camp! Your little artist will master the basics of several art forms from pottery and clay building to glass fusion and canvas. Kids will create five fun projects while learning and using specific art techniques to enhance their creativity!

Birds love to sing and young campers will love learning about birds and sing-ing songs about birds. This interactive week features live birds and lots of music. Crafts, nature explorations and more await your child. Campers will leave every day humming a new tune!

Lego MastermindsInstructor: Camp Einstein

Grades: Pre-K–1

Dive into this exciting class that includes over 10,000 Lego pieces! Lego allows us to have fun creating while building fundamental engineering and physics principles. Students construct their own towns and skyscrapers in the architecture lab.

Make Your Own Bullet JournalInstructor: Shannon Stout

Grades: K–6

A bullet journal is a fun calendar/journal system that keeps kids active and learning during the summer. With personalized lists (Books to Read, Weekly to Do, etc.), Habit Trackers, and Monthly Goals, bullet journals are a fun way to teach time management skills.

Minecraft Mods in JavaInstructor: Coder Kids

Grades: 3–6

We get it: kids love Minecraft. And great news, Minecraft brings out the best in creative expression! We want to encourage that by making awesome modifications to Minecraft through sim-ple Java code and by giving students a safe place to play.

Pet Portrait/ Animal Themed Art WeekInstructor: Shannon Stout

Grades: K–6

This will be a fun week of pet inspired projects in a variety of media including paper maché, collage, and painting. Stu-dents will also complete a pet portrait on canvas! A digital photo will need to be submitted via email by a parent.

Putting on a PlayInstructor: Marcy Bannor

Grades: K–6

Kids love to perform, and it’s good for them. A week of creativity—theater games, team work, play writing, character creation, and one awesome performance! Come join in the fun!

Puppet Pizzazz Instructor: Greg Ruhe

Grades: K–6

With the power of puppetry, turn trash into treasure. Explore various styles of puppetry, develop communication skills, discover the joy of storytelling, build and perform with puppets that will be yours to take home and enjoy long after the workshop is over.

RugbyInstructor: Texas Rugby Kids’ Charlie Brown (English rugby player)

Grades: K–6

Join us to learn more about the fastest growing sport in North America. We will learn the basics of game play (non-con-tact), passing skills, game drills, and play tag rugby. Boys and girls will learn teamwork, confidence, and respect for others, while getting exercise, and building an understanding of this great game. Equipment provided.

SoccerInstructor: Coach Josh’s Team

Grades: K–6

Join us for an exciting fun filled week of Soccer. Students will learn and improve on their soccer fundamentals. Engaging team building activities and scrimmag-es will be taught throughout the week. Students will practice cooperation, sportsmanship, and teamwork. It is important that students experience success while learning. We will work to instill into each student the skills and confidence needed to succeed.

Table & TreatsInstructor: Judy Drilling, Registered Dietitian

Grades: 1–6

Have you ever tasted dragon fruit? Would you like to nibble on some extraordinary veggies? There will be yummy, mouth-watering recipes with easy-to-follow directions to encourage creativity and independence in the kitchen. Practice table etiquette and identify proper table settings with poems, songs, and hands-on activities. Learn kitchen safety for food prepara-tion while having fun with food! Kids will be nuts about nutrition!!

Tour-a-Culture, ElementaryInstructor: Tour a Culture

Grades: K–6

Join us on our journey to learn 1/3 of the world before entering college! Lan-guage is easily forgotten; culture lasts a lifetime. Learning about our diverse world has never been more fun! Kids build 2D & 3D puzzles of countries, and known landmarks, eat and make tasty snacks, design and make traditional modern homes and clothing, play musical instruments, perform dances, play well known ethnic field and board games. Kids also learn manners while meeting, eating and speaking native languages.

Vet Camp Instructor: Little Medical School

Grades: 1–6

This camp is designed to explore the wonderful world of veterinarians. Using interactive demonstrations and games, kids learn how to take care of a pet and use instruments that vets use.

VEX IQ Robotics AcademyInstructor: Engineering for Kids

Grades: 3–6

This robotics platform is designed to be simple and easy for campers new to robotics, yet flexible and powerful to allow for a wide range of exploration in all aspects of STEM. A variety of gears, wheels and other assemblies allow for complete mechanical customization of VEX IQ robots. There will be program-ming challenges using RobotC. EFK coaches will help guide students to be-gin building robots capable of competing in school-year VEX IQ competitions.

Video Game Creation— Arcade StyleInstructor: Active Learning

Grades: 1–6

Starting with basic commands, campers will be taught in a step-by-step pro-gression how to build a game that they design. This course is a program where the game that is created has action for each level all on one screen similar to Centipede, Asteroids, or Pac-Man. The first few days focus on programming basics and by late week the children are well on their way to creating their own unique game. This camp encourages creativity, storytelling, programming and problem solving for their young minds.

Volleyball Instructor: Coach Josh’s Team

Grades: K–6

Junior Athletes’ volleyball camp is designed for the beginners looking to learn or improve his or her skills. Campers will practice/learn appro-priate movements and volleyball skills/drills in a fun atmosphere.

Fitness games and exercise will also be incorporated to encourage team building and sportsmanship.

Watercolor WeekInstructor: Shannon Stout

Grades: K–6

Students will learn a variety of watercol-or techniques, and practice these techniques in fun, colorful projects worthy of framing!

World Dance Jam: Line/Hip Hop/Latin Dance Instructor: Maria Fernanda

Grades: K–6

Campers will learn line dances, hip hop routines, and even experience a little Latin flair throughout the week. Technique and combinations will be taught in a fun way with great music. Don’t miss this great opportunity to dance to your favorite songs as well! There will be a performance on the last day of camp.

Writing WorkshopInstructor: Marcy Bannor

Grades: 2–6

Our Writing Workshop offers students an opportunity to write their own stories, fairy tales, poetry, fables, and essays. Come to our class and create your very own great literature—let’s see where our imaginations take us!

Yoga/Hula Instructor: Mad About Hoops/ Mad About Yoga

Grades: K–6

Have you ever seen Cirque du Soleil? Are you ready for your kids to enjoy working their bodies, minds and spirits? Then our Mad About Hoops and Yoga class is perfect for your child! We’ll begin class by centering the children’s minds through various yoga poses and breathing techniques. After-wards, the kids will learn a multitude of hula hoop tricks and play games,

like musical hoops. The last part of class will include

combining the two!
