SHUFORD STADIUMShuford Stadium has been home to the Catawba lacrosse team since its inception in 1994. The

team used Frock Field for two seasons while the stadium was being reconstructed in 2001 and 2002. The

stadium seats approximately 2,500 for lacrosse. The Indians grabbed their first-ever lacrosse win at home

against Merrimack on March 25, 1995.

Among the amenities in the stadium are the Hurley Press Box and the Belk Track. The Hurley Press

Box is a four-level facility with the fourth floor serving as the operations level. Nearly 300,000 bricks were

used in the new construction of the press box and the outside wall.

Catawba and Shuford Stadium has played host to four Deep South Conference Tournaments. The

Indians have advanced to the final in three of those; 2004, 2007 and 2010. Since returning to Shuford Sta-

dium for the 2003 campaign, Catawba has a home record of 40-38.
