E1 Levels of government (M1, D1)

Use your work on AS2 to explain and analyse the work of the different levels of government. Research

this using text books, videos and the internet to find out information and examine practical examples.

Create a table, which lists each level of government and an explanation and analysis of the work of each

one, including examples where appropriate.

E2 Comparing the electoral process (M2)

Investigate a range of other electoral processes in the UK and worldwide. You can use online research

facilities for this. Present your findings in a comparisons chart, using examples and case studies.

E3 Government policies (M3, D2)

Produce a short film, documentary or podcast which explains and evaluates the impact that a governmentpolicy has had on the public services and communities in the UK.

Start by canvassing members of the community to get their opinion about government policies related to

the public services. You could do this with a questionnaire or by interview. Then design the best way of

presenting and writing up your findings.

E4 Development of government processes (M4)

Produce a written report that outlines the development of government processes. Extend the outline with

an analysis of the developmental stages.
