Certified Technician (ECT)

In consideration of the continuously growing number of the applicants of the CAD/CAE software EPLAN Electric P8 in the industry and educational market, Rheinische Fach-hochschule Köln (RFH) in collaboration with the company EPLAN Software & Services GmbH and Co. KG. has created new interna-tional certifi cation models for scholars and students. These are certifi cations to:

EPLAN Certifi ed Student (ECS) EPLAN Certifi ed Technician (ECT)

EPLAN Certifi ed Student (ECS) concerns participants who are visiting the advanced technical colleges, polytechnics or universi-ties. EPLAN Certifi ed Technician (ECT) con-cerns participants who are visiting vocational schools, technical colleges and schools for master craftspeople.

The fi nal examination is carried out by Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln (RFH), University of Applied Sciences, or through the Certifi cated Partners of RFH. All ECS or ECT participants fi nish the examination in a worldwide available on-line time constrained assessment (theory) as well as by accomplishing the practice part of the examina-tion which take place on site. EPLAN Education Certifi cation

ECS and ECT certifi cations are tailored to the soft-ware “EPLAN Education” and they represent the basic certifi cation within the EPLAN certifi cation program towards the EPLAN CERTIFIED ENGINEER (ECE) certifi cation. EPLAN CERTIFIED ENGINEER (ECE) is tailored experts’ certifi cation for user of EPLAN P8 professional software (industrial custo-mers). EPLAN Education Software is available for free for all scholars and students and can be down-loaded free of charge from the side of the company EPLAN (www.eplan.de) and be of use 365 days for free.

Exam pre-conditions

In order to pass the examination successfully, sound knowledge of EPLAN P8 and its frequent application are required.
