José Otero (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1979) llega a El Almacén con una irreverente propuesta artística en la que, partiendo de diferentes acciones multidisciplinares de su trayectoria, nos plantea cómo huir de los propósitos y de los convencionalismos que a menudo se asocian a la transmisión de ideas y mensajes concretos que vemos en los discursos plásticos de muchas exposiciones. Para ello, organiza una muestra que apuesta más por la extraordinaria capacidad del arte para esconder su propio sentido, desentendiéndose de sus aspectos comunicacionales. No se trata tanto de comunicar, sino de pensar y sentir.

José Otero (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1979) comes to El Almacén with an irreverent artistic proposal using several multidisciplinary actions to do so. He suggests getting away from conventionalism often linked to speci�c ideas and messages that we see in the artistic discourse of many exhibitions. In order to do so, he has organised an exhibition that supports the extraordinary capacity art has to hide its own meaning, avoiding communicational aspects. It’s not so much about communicating, but rather about thinking and feeling.

Celebrate Brooklyn y Roots son los dos últimos discos de Kike Perdomo en formato cuarteto y fueron grabados íntegramente en EEUU. El primero de

ellos, editado en 2013, recoge composiciones originales de Kike Perdomo junto con una selección de temas latinos arreglados por Mark Lomanno. El segundo

trabajo fue editado en 2015 y se ha presentado en diversos festivales de jazz. Es un disco de jazz contemporáneo que re�eja situaciones y vivencias persona-

les siempre bajo el sonido acústico y clásico del jazz, con algunos matices de otros estilos como el bop o el groove

“Todas las vaginas hablan, tienen deseos y cantan… porque sí: cada vagina tiene su propia canción”, escribe en el prólogo de su libro Los Secretos de la Vagina la periodista Laura Levina, personaje al que dará vida la actriz grancanaria Lili Quintana en este montaje teatral que supone su primer papel como protagonista absoluta. Planteado como un juego teatral que fusiona el cabaret y la animación, Los Secretos de la Vagina es un manual sobre los mitos, miedos y misterios de la sexualidad femenina, reforzado en escena con canciones, coreografías y mucho, mucho humor.

“All vaginas speak, they have longings, they sing… just because: each vagina has its own song”, said journalist Laura Levina in the prologue of her book Los Secretos de la Vagina (vagina secrets). A character brought to life by Canarian actress Lili Quintana in this drama adaptation which is her �rst full leading role. A drama game that combines cabaret and animation, Los Secretos de la Vagina is a manual about the legends, fears and mysteries of the female sex, backed up on stage by songs, choreographies and a lot of humour.

Desde 2017, Cultura Lanzarote viene impulsando un programa de residencias artísticas denominado Almacén RV, único en Canarias y centrado en el desarrollo de trabajo grá�co en soporte digital por parte de creadores locales, con el objeto de dibujar en un entorno virtual, utilizando un dispositivo de gafas de realidad virtual HTC Vive, a través del software TILT BRUSH. Los artistas Daniel Jordán y Hugu mantendrán un encuentro en el TEA abierto con el público para hablar de la experiencia y mostrar el trabajo realizado.

Since 2017, Cultura Lanzarote has been promoting an artistic residence programme called Almacén RV, unique in the Canary Islands and focused speci�cally on the development of graphic work in digital support done by local authors, aiming to draw in a virtual environment, using HTC Vive virtual reality goggles, through TILT BRUSH software. Artists Daniel Jordán and Hugu, are hosting a debate at the TEA, open to the public, to talk about this experience and show the work done as part of this artistic residence programme.

La compañía Tenerife Danza Lab trae a Lanzarote un precioso espectáculo infantil en el que la danza y teatro se dan la mano. Tres divertidos personajes, Drakaina Draco, Arbustus Robustus y Stelli Maris se han propuesto encontrar semillas originarias de drago a lo largo de las siete Islas Canarias, con la intención de recuperar el gran bosque Dragonal, en peligro de extinción. También están en peligro de extinción la curiosidad, la magia, la biodiversidad, las semillas, los árboles maestros y los bosques primarios. ¿Seremos nosotros capaces de continuar su aventura y salvar los bosques de la Tierra?

The company Tenerife Danza Lab brings a stunning children’s show to Lanzarote in which dance and theatre go hand in hand. Three funny characters, Drakaina Draco, Arbustus Robustus and Stelli Maris are determined to �nd the seeds that created the Dragon tree all around the seven Canary Islands, in order to recover the great and endangered Dragonal forest. Curiosity, magic, biodiversity, seeds, wise trees and primary forests, are also endangered. Are we going to be able to keep up their adventure and save the forests of our planet Earth?

Tras el funeral de su madre, dos hermanos y sus esposas se reúnen en casa de uno de ellos. Y ahí comienza una noche de diálogos y discusiones que sacan a la luz una visión descarnada de las relaciones personales, de sus aspectos más oscuros y violentos, con un humor corrosivo y feroz. A young girl has everything set to get married: the venue, the celebration, the guests, catering, and still, she feels there’s something missing: the groom! She chooses two volunteers and gets them to do some tests. They have to dance, declare their love, among others, in order for her to choose the best candidate. In the meantime, she tries to dazzle them with wonderful acrobatics on her bike and singing upside down. With Kalabazi, Jessica Arpin brings us a stunning show in which she combines circus, clown performance and poetry, making us laugh out loud and moving us at the same time.
