Bharat Aluminium Company (BALCO) is the 1st PSU in India’s Aluminium sector incorporated in 1965. One of the first disinvestments of the Government of India & it is now a part of Vedanta Limited, with 51% stake

held by Vedanta Limited and 49% held by Government. Balco is based in Chhattisgarh State having Captive Bauxite mines in Mainpat and Kawardha, Captive coal mines in

Chotia, with 2010 MW power generation capacity and 5.7 LTPA Aluminium Smelting capacity at Korba Complex.
