At the crossroads between Burgundy and Beaujolais, in the village of Thoissey to be precise, there is a factory that enjoys making the most exciting garden furniture! A 13,500 m² site, 200 employees, 3,200 tonnes of metal transformed each year, 450,000 pieces produced to date: in recent years, this factory has undergone rapid, well-managed growth.

Tout juste diplômée, Juliette liberman a réalisé le prototype du banc Charivari® avec une assise en bois, mettant en œuvre à travers sa conception le procédé de fabrication des membrures de bateaux ployées à la vapeur, issu de la tradition des charpentiers de marine... Puis avec fermob, elle l’a transposé avec brio en métal. résultat : un banc racé aux proportions généreuses, étonnant de légèreté visuelle avec son assise en lattes d’aluminium galbées qui semble jetée telle un tissu sur la structure en acier.

FULL SAIL AHEADShortly after graduating, Juliette Liberman produced the prototype for the Charivari® bench, with a wooden seat, using the same steam-bending procedure traditionally employed by shipwrights to construct the ribs of boats. For Fermob, she brilliantly applied this to a metal seat. The result was a graceful, generously-proportioned bench with an astonishingly light appearance, featuring galvanised curved aluminium slats which appear to be draped like fabric over the steel frame.

HISST ALLE SEGELKurz nach Erhalt ihres Diploms hat Juliette Liberman den Prototypen der Bank Charivari® mit einer hölzernen Sitzfläche entworfen, deren Gestaltung das Herstellungs-verfahren der im Dampf gebogenen Schiffsspanten aus der Tradition der Schiffszimmerleute darstellen sollte. Gemeinsam mit Fermob hat sie diese brillant in Metall umgesetzt.
