Central Luzon is a growth region in the Philippines that contributes significantly to the national economy It is home to the dynamic freeport zones, Subic, Clark, LIP, FAB It is the top destination of BOI-generated investments for the period 2011-2013, receiving total commitments of PhP 341.51 Billion or 28.57% of the total 1.195 trillion in the investments in the Philippines.

Electronics remains to be the region’s major export accounting for 71.27% of the total CL exports amounting to U$2.88B. Garments and Textiles also sustained its position as the second top performing sector with an export transaction of U$ U$424.6M or 10.50% share. This is followed by the Machinery/Transport Equipment/Apparatus and Parts, Fashion Accessories/ Leathergoods, and other Consumer Manufactures. The other priority sectors of the region namely, food and processed food, footwear, furniture and furnishings, ceramics, GTH and marine & aquaculture recorded a combined export sales of US$96.87M or 2.39% of total CL exports.
