    CO-M1

     Function

The CO-M1 is a low cost carbon monoxide sensor/transmitter designed for basement carpark ventilation

control application. It is intended for use with building automation system which controls the exhaust

and supply fans to maintain an acceptable environment within the building code specifications.

    • Continuous monitoring

    • Easy maintenance

    • Long life sensor

    • Modular plug-in technology

Traditionally, the ventilation strategy for the enclosedcarparks was to use a fixed ventilation rate throughout

the utilised period. This approach works well inmaintaining the air quality, however, it is very inefficient in

    energy usage.

Ventilation using atmospheric contaminants monitoring, such as carbon monoxide (CO) has gained in popularity.

This new approach ensures acceptable air quality incarparks, it also reduces energy wastage and speeds the

    pay back on the installation.

CO-M1 is intended for wall mounting. The CO transmitter

is also available for duct mounting, CO-M1-KS.

Measuring systemThe CO concentration is measured using a new

generation mixed metal-oxide thick film (MMOStechnology) gas sensitive material to measure carbon

monoxide in parts per million (ppm). In-built carbon filter to prevent sensor response to other substances.

Supply voltage and output signalThe supply voltage is 24V AC or DC and the standardoutput signal is 0….10 V or 4....20 mA.

Relay contactThe CO-M1-R model has a relay contact for direct

control of a fan or to give an alarm signal etc.

SettingThe CO-M1measures CO with an output range of 0 - 100

ppm. The relay output is preset to trip at 35 ppm or 50ppm via a jumper.

ApplicationsCO-M1 is used in carparks, car repair shops, tunnels,

engine test stands, shelters, loading bays, go-kart racecourses and also in boiler rooms, in which carbon

monoxide can escape on the basis of a leak in theexhaust system.

    • Polarity protected

    • Overload and short circuit proofed

    • 4-20mA and 0-10Vdc analogue signal output

    • Relay output optional
