PROJECT PROFILE:

Advanced Driver Assistance System V&V [ADAS]

Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are systems developed to automate/adapt/enhance vehicle systems for safety and better driving. Safety features includes two types of safety, Active and Passive. Active safety features are designed to avoid collisions by offering technologies that either alerts the driver to potential problems or take over the control and implements the safeguards to ensure the safety of the vehicle. And Passive safety features are designed to minimizing the severity of the collision. It communicates with the other onboard embedded modules through CAN & FlexRay protocol. It also provides onboard logged diagnostic information to the service tool connected to the network, through diagnostic protocols.

Responsibilities in projects: Maintaining the Hardware used for testing of code. Understand the requirement and Preparing Test specification. Develop Test script in XML for Hardware in Loop testing. Validate the software against the requirements. Helped in automating documentation process in the project. Auto-generation excel/HTML

reports. Updating the CANoe Simulation and ODX file if required. Coordinating with team regarding various scope of automation. Performing Test list Reviews. Reporting, classification and tracking of issues. Interacting with clients on weekly basis on defect clarifications and test plan analysis. Support peers in design and code review.

#Project 1:

Intelligent Drive Control Gen 3 V&V [IDC Gen 3] Oct, 2014 - Feb, 2015

The project scope involves the verification and validation of the Brake Assist PLUS function of IDC Gen3 software. Brake Assist PLUS uses radar and camera sensors. Both of these sensors are very good at not only registering objects up ahead but also calculating the distance from these objects and their relative speed. If the distance between the vehicle and the registered object is so small that there is a real danger of collision, Brake Assist PLUS issues a visual warning on the instrument cluster display and sounds an alarm over the car speakers. While this is happening, the electronic system calculates the braking deceleration necessary to avert the collision. If the driver then hits the brakes, the braking pressure needed to bring the vehicle to a stop before impact is immediately provided automatically. Ensuring that an appropriate braking force is not exceeded gives those driving behind more time to react. The project is based on AUTOSAR architecture. Validation and verification is being done on Hardware in Loop testing environment where the real ECU is being tested.

#Project 2:

Intelligent Drive Control Gen 4 V&V [IDC Gen 4] June, 2015 - Current

The project scope involves the verification and validation of the PRE-SAFE® Brake function of IDC Gen4 software. PRE-SAFE® Brake is an autonomous emergency braking system which uses radar and camera sensors to help identify critical situations. Some two and a half seconds before impact, the driver is warned of a potential danger. If, at that stage, the driver applies the brakes, the car automatically delivers the brake force needed to bring the car to a safe stop (if that is physically possible), regardless of the pressure applied by the driver. However, if the critical situation continues to develop and the driver does not react, the car applies partial braking around one and half seconds before the collision and tensions the seat belts in preparation for the impact. Finally, if PRE-SAFE® Brake determines that a collision cannot be avoided, the car applies maximum braking force to reduce the speed of the impact as much as possible.

The project is based on AUTOSAR architecture. Validation and verification is being done on Hardware in Loop testing environment where the real ECU is being tested.

Smart home energy monitoring and management system

Developed a home energy monitoring and management system that will keep a track of energy consumed by each appliance in the home, and intelligently managing them to suit the requirements of the user. All the appliance readings are sent, stored and manipulated on a central gateway which maintains user settings as energy profiles that can be programmed using an android application based front end.
